I use 20" Ashton Justice forks on my 26" Koxx Levelboss - works a treat
-
Lush! that is so darn nice And I remember reading in MBUK about the 'Licence', perhaps this is it? Hope they come into production, as a ET24 remake would be sweet!
-
BB7's are just great Nothing bad to say about them!
-
Um, No! They're like the worst pads I've ever used FACT. Would be alright for the front, but rear is a no no. Also I found this setup to be pretty wank, you need a nice light grind for the CRV's . Unless your talking about the Spanish Flys which are pretty beast on a dead grind, or an anodized/painted sidewall - but yet again on a 'normal' smooth rim they lack hold. I'll recomend you buying some Heatsink CNC'd vee backings and having the choice of any magura pad to fit in (as the CRV backings are a different size to magura pads). But your pads should be mint aslong as you keep the grind sharp-ish. EDIT: I'd quite like to see some pics of your bike, sounds like a nice spec

They're just generally weak rims, but his spokes could of been a little to tense?
-
Erm... yes They'd proberly be manuel & bunnyhop happy - sidehops etc.. would be a no go!

R right, you mean a 'tap'! I learnt this before I could pedal kick We used to call it the 'wheelie 2 bunnyhop' - as you pedal with the front wheel lifted (only half a crank rotation though), and then hop (this is when you kick with your front/chocolate foot). It's seriously one of the easiest move out there! Just make sure your confident on the back wheel for when you land. Also when I rode 20" I never actually tapped the front wheel on the ledge, when I rode 26" I did and now that I ride 24" I still tap the front end (but there just my weird techniques ). What I mean is don't copy other peoples techniques! I tryed to copy Ozzy's as he could do it first, but he's right foot forward (I'm left foot forward) so copying that just buggerd me up as I couldn't pedal kick when I landed Just don't be affraid of failing the first couple of times, and eventually you'll start improving your technique to suit you! Its possible none of that made sense, but a hope a helped a wee bit...

Never riden any... but the Karbon looks awsome (especially the top tube) and the geo would suit me much more I'm fond of the lower bb's, and shorter wheelbases.
-
You should! Silver (actually black would be nicer) coloured cranks & bash would be far nicer Also how do they ride with that short of a stem? As my bike feels lush, but could do with being abit 'flicky-er' - would getting a shorter stem help? Or do I need more/less rise?

Front Dob Rims. Tarty Dont Seem To Stock Them Anymore

Maybe all the workers are locked up in a Chinese prison, because they tried to tell the BBC how bad the human rights are over there? ... im just throwing that idea out there -
Is it not a vee brake?
-
Sweet Jesus, thats stunning! Your Adamant A2 will be nicer haha

If you want a little more hold and bite over what the Koolstop Reds deliver, then get Magura Browns Still loads of modulation, but they actually hold well (I used them on the rear with a light grind for a few months, so more than capable for gaps to front) !
-
I loved that rim sooo much! The grind held like a babe If they did 24" versions I'd buy one right know... You could also consider these BEAST's! The Try-all street rims! only come in 36h - and they're pure beaf! But I'll recomend the Echos
-
surely 'Scruffy Jumps' could sort you out with something - lol! Me? I don't really save weight I gain it more than anything! I went form Alu bars to Cro-moly - weight adding propeties right there
-
No! You should buy a wheel from me I have front and rear wheels going at... £50 for the rear (try all rim, mutiny spokes, echo screw-on hub, echo snail cams, onza 12t sprocket), and £25 for the front (Onza hog rim, mutiny spokes, shimano disc hub), Basicly they're better wheels for around the same money! The link is in my sig

You'll proberly get around the £230 mark - Trials bikes plumet in price when they're being sold second hand
-
Will do! well I'll try my best Me and Ozzy will proberly put together a Porthcawl vid when we stay up there next week (providing we can get a decent camera)..
-
My rear red Try-all looks sick (and I mean that as in , its really horrible) They're like the Echo red but with a bit of glitter in... EDIT: the rims that have that kind of 'painted red' instead of metalic look so much better! Like the Monty's or Meta's

Constructive critisism, I like it

If you really want to drill your frame, the least 'frame life effecting' places to drill are; -the headtube -what should be our seatpost -the dropouts -the part of the bb yoke that stretches out to meet the chainstays (you know what I mean) -the built in booster if you have one -also removing bash plate mounts help theres a couple of ideas for you...

I didn't say my bike was clearly the best looking, I said its possibly the best looking MK2. You know what the word possibly means right? As in its possible that mines the nicest, its possible mines the uglyest, etc...And besides I've only ever seen the two MK2's that steve first built up (one red, one black) and I reckon mines better looking. I can't compare my 24UK to those I have not seen! I've seen loads of MK1's on the Heatsink website that are absoloute stunners and they put my bike to shame - but I said mines possibly the nicest MK2. Also no way is the seat half the weight of my frame Infact my bike is actually pretty light (which I was first shocked about due to cro-mo forks + bar, and DH headset + bb + tubes). So even if I did umm 'half arse it' with a seat that I got cheaply, its not holding me back in any way - just saved me money! Care to point out a few reasons? Then if I ever upgrade I'll try to ammend these reasons Any other comments or suggestions for/about my 24UK? cheers guys xx

cai replied to 0zzy's topic in Member Organised Rides
I'm there! If Porthcawl isn't an easy place to get to, we can arrange to go somewhere else? Not too far though... -
This thing rides so nice, bunnyhops like a dream - and 'trialsy stuff' is good too... just the number of engagements are lettong my down (saving up for a ProII trials now ) coooool !!! EDIT: Steve, are you actually staying in Tenby? or somewhere else???
