  1. I dunno about it being all that ugly, built up it looks allright. Allthough I don't agree with that spec..
  2. Its exactly how the old mk2's looked I personally had an mk1 which looked alot simpler than these (different seat tube, no gussets by the head tube, etc..) but I think these still look good.
  3. Three different sizes being made.. WB: 1040, 1065 and 1095 Stays: 390 BB: +10 I loved my old Levelboss, and its good to see they've been made again (just under the name of Yaabaa). And is this the start of shorter stocks re-appearing? Because 1040 sounds fun. Tarty, are you guys going to be getting these frames in?

the short 09 Echo Pure is that geo Wheelbase: Short 1070mm Chainstay Length: 380mm BB Rise: 25mm Head Angle: 72.5 degrees I'd like to see the return of seats too though..
  6. 24" will be replaced by short stocks with seats and vee's

    Question

Just stick with a disc, and use 26" forks. Trying to get a pair of forks with 24" brake bosses/mounts is very hard.

    Heatsink Pads

Be it either one of those reesons, the point im making is that I wouldn't ride if my brake was slipping badly - I'd spend a little time sorting out the problem. Why ride with a useless brake and waste a pair of pads (if your theory is true about it wearing down pads quicker). *reasons

    T-f Video Comp !

Na, its hardly shit. Its just concentrating enough to not hop a thousand times before sidhopping a wall. I tend to re-do lines again and again till i've got the amount of correction hops right down.
  10. My Tensile is amazing, the chain tension is solid - im used to the chain slapping the chainstay when I've used other tensioners, but this one holds the chain tight. Im that impressed by it that im buying a second one for my second bike (:
  11. What beading has the tyre got? As a tyre with steel beading rarely comes off the rim by its self, but to save weight some companys don't use the steel beading and opt to use kevlar bead (folding tyres) and these will be more prone to coming off the rim.

    Heatsink Pads

Who cares, if the brake slips then its obviously a wank pair of pads. Heatsink should bring back the reds!
  13. Dave Kerr: easily the best rider in Wales, and he's a laugh to ride with. Shame he's not taken the time to record any videos really..
  14. Your wrong there mate, most freewheels have their lockrings positioned against the crank arm - so they actually can not undo when fitted to the bike. ACS Claws don't have this feature though! Also the ACS have very few engagements compared with freewheels such as Try-all, Eno, Tensile, Monty, Etc.. which all have between 60 and 108 engagments, where ACS Claws have around 36? Which changes the ride of the bike for the worse.
  15. Maxxis Hi Roller Single Ply in 2.50 is expensive at £40 - but in the drop down menu the 2.35's are only £20..

    T-f Video Comp !

I will be ..seeing as you choose my idea for the theme

    T-f Video Comp !

True. Theme should be 'Manifesto'. So no unessercery correction hops, and stick to two wheels as much as possible
  18. Either the Trialtech 'lite' or the Echo - they're the same bottom bracket, Trialtechs cheaper but Echos come with aluminium crank bolts..

    Help !

The lockrings are not welded so it is possible to open them up. Allthough I've no idea which way Monty's open up.
  20. My heatsink reds work amazingly on a worn down grind, and don't change when it rains - if you can find a pair for sale anywhere definatly get them. Otherwise I'll recomend Koxx Browns / Phat Pads as both of these pads have worked quite well for me on a similar grind, both had great hold, but the bite and noise wasn't really there. 'Hold' is all you ever want from a brake though right
  21. Was there really a need in quoting everything that the topic starter originally wrote On a more cheerful note - very nice wheels mate. I too find that the engagements on ProII's feel stiff (in a good way), far more reasuring than any freewheel I've used.

    Brake Booster

Haha I think all RB's have the habit of bending - even my ones rocking a slight curve.
  23. I downloaded it on BitTorrent not too long ago - did take a while though..
  24. Mine worked really well on practacally a dead grind for months and months, then when I got a hold of some Heatsink red compound I gave sold the phat material to Ozzy - he's not getting on well with them at all My set up was alot stiffer than his though, so maybe this is why?
  25. Gutted I couldn't make it, my mum bailed on driving me there Next year I'll be there ..if I pass the old driving test by then haha
