  1. All thease guys know what their on about especially OBM hes been there and worked for evans, listen to him. Im the same age as you, and at college i f**king hate it most of the time and want to leave get a full time job and buy a car etc, but i worked in my LBS for 2 months over the summer at first it was great thought it was all i wanted to do play with bikes, by the end of the 2nd month i was getting home and not wanting to even look at my bike, so im hoping doing this course might get me somewhere and not stuck in a dead end job, it might seem shit now that your not bringing in as much money as you could be, but in 20 years if your still working in evans you going to be pretty f**ked. You need to think more about whats ahead of you in life, house etc . . If your not getting on at school, do what other people have said, find and aprentiship or a college course on something your intersted in theres loads of courses you can do, find one that your interested in, might seem shit now but you'll be glad you did it in a few years. Just my 2pence.
  2. Ha yeah, i did the same Really good that, enjoyed it

    Depression

I get pretty down at times, don't even see the point in getting out of bed and stuff, but i do because theres stuff to do, sort of keeps me going if you get me? . . find something to do that takes up your time, even if you really don't want to do anything, force yourself to . . Get on your bike and go out with a few mates and you'll have a laugh, it'll help you look at things in a diffrent way, if you sit around a think about things it will just seem worse. Also music makes a massive diffrence to how i feel, maybe try listening to something diffrent/something that makes you happy.
  4. Not sure if this is what your looking for, but . . Ohms law: Resistance® x Current(I) = Voltage(V) . . Voltage(V)/Resistance® = Current(I) . . Voltage(V)/Current(I) = Resistance®
  5. I remember watching SmART when i was younger. R.I.P

  7. I run 32 - 13 on my DMR perfect gearing for me, but its all down to personal preferance.
  8. That looks LUSH . . I want it . .
  9. I agree with that, but still i would never ride on any sort of memorial.
  10. I had problems aswell, was ringing them constantly for nearly 3 days
  11. Take off the end caps, undo the nut inside, the take off the washer under that you might need some small pliers to get it off, tighten up the cone so there is a tiny little bit of movement . . you need to leave this because when you tighten the locking nut up they will get slightly tighter. Then just take out the little grub screw in the pedal body, wack a load of grease in, stick the grub screw back in. Job done.
  12. Might be the pedals?, pretty sure you'd feel that though, still might be worth checking. If not, I had some creaking sounds coming from my bike when I pedaled, thought it was my canks/BB but it turned out to be my headset . . so maybe check/grease that, pretty unlikely but worth a try.
  13. Cheers man If your still after one, i think winstanlys have got a couple left i got mine just after christmas from them. Get some pics up of the cannondale, Chase's are lush!, I had a gemini 900, but had to sell the frame, forks, headset, seatpost and seat clamp to buy my Cowan.
  14. V8's are really good, never had any problems with mine. V12's are crap, because they run on like a bush at the crank end and once that wears out the pedal starts to rattel, mine lasted about a year befor this happened wouldn't bother buying V12's again. I've also got a pair of KHE flatland pedals, really amazing pedals must be about 5 years old, taken loads of abuse, never lost a pin, still smooth as the day i got them and they're slightly concave so feel really nice, mint grip aswell.. Only problem is I have no idea where to get them.
  15. For frames, ZOO! I had an Echo Lite and didn't like it atall, got a long python now and its one of the nicest riding frames ever IMO.
  16. I think what adams saying is that the side plate on the KMC links is thinner metal in the middle, making it more likely to break than the rest of the chain...?
  17. Ah right, fair play. I don't use one was just curious, normally just burr the head of the pin over when i've joined my chain, never have any problems. Sorry didn't mean to sound like im having a go or anything.
  18. why would the rest of the chain stretch and the quick link not? . . that makes the quick link stronger.
  19. How are quick links any weeker than a normal link?, if you talking about the same ones im thinking about, the type with two plates, and a clip that you put on with pliers?. If they have two side plates surely its as strong as the rest of the chain?
  20. If you get it all working again with new pawls & springs, then maybe 25 quid, i doubt a trials rider would buy it, best bet would be to put it on ebay, old hope stuff is always selling on there
