Ive had 3, my 1st 1 is still going on my mates bike running on 5 pawls not 9, my 2nd is on my mates bike aswell and is running on 7pawls, these are both around 6months old, and my 3rd on my bike is running on 7 pawls after 1 month of riding, pretty shit really, im still using the because i got them cheap, gonna go for an eno next or a freehub (king) not shure yet though. I think what he means is are there any alternatives, eg. hope mono trial, avid bb7, magura hs33 or a vee. It depends on what you like, say if you had to ride down a big hill to the train station or something, it would be no good with a magura or a vee because it would just eat the pads and change the compound. There are a wide range of magura pads which are designed for all different rim surfaces, grind, tar or smooth, it depends on what pads you run. Harry!
