danny regularly tells people he cannot manual though....he can do all the crazy crap, but his manualling skills are erm......shite. seriously though....instead of actually pulling up i prefer the lean back technique...

i doubt it. I imagine its more intended for dh / xc so that you do not have to physically shift the chain over while heading down a hill etc. While also being developed for free riders so that they have more clearance. Its not really that great for trials IMO as it doesnt offer the clearance we currently have on our tiny gears, but i do see the positives with the overdrive idea

except strath who unfortunately is too scared to come because some of the pebbles are out of his reach
