get some high top skate shoes....last longer / cheaper (if you hit up the right places). i have some zoo yorks that i love. They needed bedding in, but now i prefer them over any trials shoe. Mind you, i have seriously weak ankles, and need support for when im riding.

as i said in my text, you'll regret it......especially when we go road tripping with your favorite allies. Seriously, you think about geometries so much, your so comfortable looking on your zhi, and it totally suits your riding, you can go bigger / smoother / better on the zhi....why go backwards?

As i have explained to you numerous times McArthur.....you will not notice much difference in the feel of your bike by dropping a half inch - an inch of either side of your bar, the difference will come on the less strain on your shoulders because your bars are closer together. As you know i have extended my monty bars by about an inch either side. I couldnt tell you exactly the width, but when i rode your ZHI, it rode nice, and the only thing i would have recommended was to drop a bit off either side of your bike and they would be wide enough to have good control, but still narrow enough to be comfortable on your back / shoulders. I wouldnt say you have particularly wide shoulders, and certainly no wider than mine. Im a beast remember. Seriously though, just trim a half inch off either side as a start and i think you will find lots of benefit. Now start answering texts. willy

not really thought about it to be honest, i want something a little longer than i have at the moment (1085), however as this has a slacker head angle, it might have more room in the cockpit, however it does have a plus 45 bb, so this might well make it just the same as the one i have at the moment. I quite like the idea of the long - very similar geo to the koxx boxx (4mm shorter), so i think i would quite like to have a shot on that. Will see in time.

i look forward to getting one . although this might mean tht i will require to go back to running a rear magura but i suppose only time will tell. I like.

a wheel will not turn at the same speed as a freewheel though...due to the diameter of the wheel. (i think thats the basics of the argument against your post). Ill let someone else confirm

When I was going to the gym more often, (something I am going to get back into) I found that as much as I did weights, i forgot to focus in on the stamina as well. I know you do all sorts of riding ali, so your probably quite fit anyway, however you hoping to improve for a specific thing - comps. Using damon as an example - he rides street TGS, to be as good as damon you have to be stupidly powerful. However, as he said above, he has three main muscle groups that he focuses on developing. In your case ali i would ensure you keep a good balance of cardio and weights, as for competitions - UCI in particular, you need to be powerful but also able to ride big stuff for app. 2 mins. Which isnt easy. Also - you will find that using free weights will improve your balance and strength more than machine weights. So ensure if your trying to build power that you utilize as much free weights as possible. I would definitely look into the different types of muscle your trying to develop. If i remember correctly (from GCSE PE (7 years ago) you have fast and slow twitch muscles. Trials tends to use fast twitch muscles so maybe you need to develop a program around this, im sure some sports scientist will come along and tell me im wrong, so maybe research it a little. Look into plyometrics....this is about explosive muscle development. Which as im sure you will understand is very useful for trials. TRA showed himself doing this in one of his videos if i remember, and is very useful in developing muscle in the right manner for a sport such as trials. Just a little something to look into . Dont get too good though ali.....your getting old like me, and im just getting worse. So if you improve while i get worse, i will hunt you down.

Its a freeride bike.....with DH forks on it . However, iron horse do make some of the best FR/DH bikes around. If only i could afford one.

well by all accounts, vince and dani wont be competing against each other anyway.....dani is riding mod next year apparantly. I also love the way that vince just pisses facing the road, he might as well have just turned around and pissed on danis bike, facing the camera.
