  1. Why do you keep coming in here if your not going to be helpful dude. Dont get me wrong the topic starter isn't helping himself with his literary skills, however its fairly obvious which part he is trying to get from the inside of the lever. The bit you call the plunger is what i would call the piston as well!? So can you offer him any help at all, or will i have to do it? Topic starter - take everything off the lever (this includes lever blades, hoses, and anything else). Rest the lever body on a hard surface and get a small allan key that will fit through one of the holes in the hose end of the lever body. You will notice that at the end of the threads which hold the hoses in there is a small hole - this is the hole i was talking about above - push your small allan key through one of these holes, do it gently as you do not want to damage the spring. Once you feel the resistance of a hard surface you are on the back of the piston. Now put as much pressure as is required to force the piston out. I had to do mine just recently and it was quite difficult to push out. Once you have forced the piston out, give it a clean, clean out the inside of the lever as well as the spring. Now a little lube on the seal / piston will hopefully allow a smoother running of the lever. After you have lubed the seal replace the spring, then the piston (ensure its the right way round) the piston might need a tough push back into the lever body! re-fit the lever blade and without re-bleeding, check that lever springs nicely back into place when compressed. (if not, you will need a new spring i think available from any DIY shoppy, in which case repeat the above, and replace the spring with a new one before yuo re-fit). Re-bleed the brake and see if you still have problems with air / leaking. (if your brake isnt leaking at the piston, my assumption is that your bleeding it wrong) If you do have problems with leaking then im afraid your easier to buy a new magura lever rather than try and source a piston. You either have a working brake or not at this point. If its working - be happy - go ride - and learn to research your topic before posting and clearly write the problem. If its not working - be pro-active - go to the wanted / for sale section and make a topic / find a lever and purchase - and learn to research your topic before posting and clearly write a problem. Hope that has helped a little bitty

We have a good number of spots all worth riding with alot of different abilities catered for. Friday - 10.30pm Aberdeen Street Ride Saturday (am) - 10am (ish) Newtonhill (reason for this is due to low tide being 8.40am) Saturday (pm) - whenever we finish at newtonhill we can head to nigg bay. Then when the tide rises here we can head towards the big harbour sea defences in aberdeen. Sunday - Montrose - all day. Cos its amazing! Bring on the weekend boys......fingers crossed for good weather. Aberdeen Weather

  22. The dates are confirmed very far in advance, which gives plenty of time to plan / save to go to the competitions. There is no way of pleasing everyone, every year jon. To be honest, other than the Fort bill round, (and even that is a 3hr drive) im sure i live just as far from any of those venues as you do!? And i live in the REAL north.... Britain does not stop at the english / scottish border. So in real terms, i could complain that all the competitions are extremely far south. Why not make a couple of road trips / weekends out of the competitions. Its only a couple of hours drive. I don't see everyones problem? Especially as there is one date still to be confirmed, which now it is definitely likely to be a southern venue in order to please all the haters. On top of this, i do not think everyone realises all the hard work that has to go into organising competitions, confirming dates, setting up etc (and before anyone even TRIES to suggest that i don't either, they will find that i helped significantly with running the scottish series a year or so ago). So will everyone give it a rest, and wait and see what happens. Next year the comps could all be based south of the midlands....who knows. There are other clubs / competitions you could attend that are more southern...?
