  1. Hey Ben, There are a few of us up here, probably about 5-6 at max, and the trials up here is pretty good (if you ask me). Ill drop you a pm with my number and you can give me a shout once you get up here.
  2. not sure if that is a direct / actual quote, but if it is...if I were Norco / (insert any of ryans big name sponsors here), thats not the kind of stuff I'd want to see the guys I pay big bucks to saying on the internet

  7. 90% (could be higher, but I dont obviously see all of them) of his posts are in some form or way negative, whether it is being argumentative in a topic, or just purely telling people what is right and is wrong. EDIT: that last comment...how can you just assume 11kg? let damon answer the questions on his own bike FFS. Guess it was just bugging me a little. Also, you've read one opinion of those pedals being bad so why do you need to tell your friend to change his pedals? im sure more than two sets have been made / ridden. Also, I personally would be asking for visual proof of some sort to back up his claims, rather then relying on his simple words. Anyway, im not here to argue any further, just answering your question. P.s. Damon - bike looks nice, colour matches your tan ;-).
  8. i might even buy a mod specifically for it...

  15. 0zzy - if you don't like the comparison between dh and trials (both extreme sports), why do you have to compare what matt does on his trials bike to BMX? that is narrow minded, EXTREMELY narrow minded - i suggest you read this - .http://mis-conceptions.blogspot.co.uk/2012/11/get-bmx.html (see how I dropped that in there) The comparison of DH to Trials is actually quite useful. I agree with you to an extent that the obstacles are different, but the mentality of the top guys is very much the same. It is their livelihood, Gilles actually mentions this in his website statement, but you don't often see the downhillers pulling out because the conditions dont quite suit their interests. I work in the oil industry, so i know of how paramount safety is / has become in the workplace (this is their workplace we are talking about afterall) and its thrust down the throat of people on a daily basis, but Matt (i don't think anyway), isn't so much contesting the conditions but more questioning Gilles attitude to the whole situation. He might have complained prior to the race, but he also CHOSE to ride the sections instead of pulling out (thats what she said) completely prior to the competition to make his 'stand'. The conditions were equal to all, and from the results I believe EVERY section was ridden through by some person at somepoint during the competition (tactical dabs are a part of competition i am afraid). Unfortunately for you, i don't think you are coming across as well as you might want to, your stubborn responses are kind of immature, and you seem very unwilling to try and see any point that anyone else is making. Some times in the world you have to be able to compromise (even if that is to someone elses opinion).
  16. i am pretty sure that 0zzy just got owned...although im a bmxer so what would i know
  17. ooooo bike porn....nom
  18. Scandinavian flights are usually more expensive (comparative to the easy jets or similar), and as such they get better service (from my experience). Easy jet charged a few of us around £30-£40 each way for bikes to barcelona from edinburgh. I wouldnt say its robbery....just fill up your bike bag with all your camping gear / clothes for the weekend, then you wont have to pay an additional bag of luggage charge. OR as someone says, get it posted to barrow in a box, and i'd imagine it'll work out much cheaper overall
  19. thanks tom, thats awesome you've greatly assisted in workplace procrastination...our economy wont thank you, but i will
  20. where do you get your protective wigs from? tricks and stunts? seriously though, i actually enjoyed the video strangely. I wasnt so much a fan of all the reversed clips, but all in all twas fun.

  22. I can see how that would work, but its not exactly practical, also not how anyone who builds and designs websites would intend it to be used. Cheers for the input though. Its an interim measure I can use. I also found that if people did embed the video properly (not just paste the hyperlink) then the video comes up much bigger...so is it possible to make the 'pasting a link' method the same size as a 'proper embed' method see edited first post
