this isn't aimed at topic starter, but at the guy who said he was feeling old at twenty!!!!! how is this possible, i'm sorry but i'm sure you have a long way to go, i'm twenty and i'm enjoying myself more than ever, i'm more mature and have much more fun now than i have ever done before, granted i cant ride my bike as much because of my uni work, but still get out quite often. ben

your going to have to quote proces before hand, nobody will give work to someone who states prices after you have undertaken the project. its the way of the world ben
-
Sorry if this sounds harsh, but you already have the brake, so surely you will already have the standard rotor! so just try it and see what happens, a 185 theoretically should work better, when i rode tarts disc with a 180 rotor it was good, but i felt that my 160 worked just fine just try it and see

JT! i agree, the video wasn't any good, the editing was over the top and excessive, i honestly thought it made the video worse. Unfortunately for the guy his riding wasn't amazing either, a shorter video with some of the changes would have been good. sorry, don't want to sound harsh ben
-
ill shack it when im home in about an hour ben
-
yea i agree with ben, the sidehops to pedal are gay, at first i thought it doesnt look to be much of a video, but it improved and other than the quality it was decent, i enjoyed it and the music, which may have been a bit too rocky, but otherweise was a decent video keep improvin guys (Y) ben

hey man, as already said, i live up in aberdeen, riding is decent, depends on what kind of stuff you want to ride, courses im not sure on as i go to uni up here. also i havent heard of Insch, i live in stonehaven which is 15miles south of aberdeen i ride quite often but am working/uni working quite a lot, give me a shout and ill chat to you about it. also i havent been down there recently but edinburger and glasgow looks good for riding, and there are a few decent riders down there by the looks of things. cheers ben

twas a bit harsh, your first comment being coust = shit frame, when it obviously isnt, they are stiff, good on the back wheel, and are long, maybe your problem is the aesthetics, which is a personal opinion, but your choice of sentance was veyr harsh, because the coust design is proven to work although i do agree when you say the stickers look gash, i hate the yellow ones. incedentaly (sp?) how much did you pay and is it first or second gen frame cheers ben

well i have to say i rode some natural today weather wasnt great rocks next to see = v-wet and slippy, and my rim jams were shite. honestly they were bollocks, now i ride rim-jam blues on a grind and in the dry they work amazing so dont tell me my brake isnt set up. i know they hold, but todya they were crap. i voted null vote because i havent tried the plaz pads. just my bit of info ben

hey man, some decent riding in there, you are improving loads i am impressed. most constructive criticisms have been made, although i think my biggest fault was the repetitive shots, other than that it was cool, catch you later ben
-
adam has given you a perfectly fine number, you shouldnt need another number after using that one. email isnt as useful as the phone, just give middleburn a shout on that number and they will see you right. cheers ben
-
nope neither did i :D:D:P:P nah, the riding is sweet watson, some of those shots, get ur helmet on man, will definately have to get a w/e off work and get maself down to ride with you lot :D massivio gap i do like it, hopefully ill be up to that standard size soon cheers ben
-
have you got an isometric view of this or is it a 2d product? other than that its a decent attempt, i couldnt do any better, but i am slowly improving, we will see how it turns out!!! well done anyhow i would call it, piste de tarty ben
-
some decent riding mr tra, i understand your hand is still pretty injured but is fairly repetitive, you should maybe make video's shorter and not include so much stuff the same, also i understand weather over there is probably shite, and there-fore you dont have much place else to ride. but i think you know what i am getting at :( some very good riding like i said, i am impressed, although i wouldnt have reccomended riding with your wrist like that, and u sure it was only broken :S it looks like it was utterly mangled. ta ben

cheers for compliments guys, the forks are viz/koxx forks, they are quite nie although i reckon they'll be snapping soon, we will see :( yea blue rim is deffo overkill, although it was blue before frame and fork were, ill be getting something else sometime soon cheers ben
-
so here is my coust after my ideas, and recent purchases, thanks to dan hardman for the hub, tartybikes for the rim, looking forward to getting out on the bad boy for its first ride tonight, if the weather holds out. anyhow literally only been 5 mins since it was built. some ikkle piccys for you. any thoughts......... front of bike rear of bike, new wheel and rolhoff chain tensioner as you can see i like the colour blue, i think ill be getting a new front rim in black at sometime in the future, and some stickers are on the way. ta ben
-
im sure u can, just get a fixed cog that will sit nicely on the cranks, probably your best bet is to pm tartybikes just to see if it will or not. you coul dlock ur king out hahaahahahaaha ben

i have not really made too many mates through tf, but i live in aberdeen so its a tad different because im so far away from normality. met tarty and others from nottingham area when was down there earlier this month, everyone seemed super cool and were good to ride with, know all the hull people on here as thats were i am from they are all pretty cool, may have to meet up with a few people from the other scottish cities, bikerwatson div etc, have quite a list of msn'ers most of which i think i piss off or have bought/sold shit to/from anyway cheers ben
-
good point, change ur seatpost the correct way round, no need to follow any bmx trends, also u have plenty of clearance so its fine. my opinion, ben
-
check out the coustellier nottingham video, the big tap that one of the brothers does has a slight hill run up, see how they do it. but the other guys seem to be giving you the correct info, i found its much easier not to pause, and go slightly faster i found, when i did the coust wall tapping i found i had to run up faster, and the last pedal stroke has to be much stronger. anyhow, a small clip of that is on my movie at the end my movie of you could find the coustellier nottingham one, u might already have it. it depends really whether you are doing it on natty or on street cheers ben
-
hey guys all links are updated i have a trials-shack link now, cheers for tartybikes being previous host. much appreciated guys enjoy if u will i wouldnt mind some more comments though cheers ben

if you wish to be getting any spares for giro products you need to contact the distributors, who would be madison http://www.madisonb2b.co.uk (although im sure this is trade site) so http://www.ultimatepursuits.co.uk ( i think) is your best bet. EDIT, f**k THAT JUST USE THIS LINK http://www.ultimatepursuits.co.uk/page.asp...&SearchFor=Giro THAT WILL SORT YOU OUT ME THINKS try these two, if not go and ask your local bike shop im sure they will have what you require. alternatively just ride ur bike and dont worry its only a visor damage. cheers ben
-
dont think u should have been back riding it within 3 hours, probably not the cleverest of ideas i dont think. anyway its not my cup of tea, the blue somebody else did is a better colour although its your choice. cheer ben
