  4. EDIT: i dont want this to sound like im shouting at you or slagging you. i feel quite strongly about this cos its the ONE thing that pisses me off about this forum. but dont tell me not to use it, because i only really come on here. i ride my bike and work thats my life at the moment, (well it is now me and the missus broke up) im upset and cheesed off so dont take the following the wrong way cheers. well you should have used the search button then, this has been asked before. thing is, who cares about how big your going, this is my point, all walks of trials are interesting and amazing in their own right. i have totally stopped worrying about size now-a-days, i go out ride some shit, try new stuff, make a fool of myself, make shit videos, make ok vids, make a website. ALL FOR THE LOVE OF TRIALS. it doesnt matter how good or how bad you are. size doesnt matter. ride for the fun. JESUS.
  5. so you know, going big is no longer considered cool. all the sheep have decided that if u ride street its cool. and by street i mean big bunny hops and technical stuff. sidehopping onto rails will get you bummed, although its not as hard as it looks. so do spins, technical rail stuff, and do it good, then the whole forum will bum you pretty much. it seems going big is not considered to be boring and repetitive, people forget its hard to do so. BUT......the minute CLS/TUNNI/DAMON or any of the guys like that release a video, all the little sheep love it, but then when a more well known forum member says its boring and repetitive then all the little noobs change their mind and go back to following street and wanting leesons/ashtons/cuntis'..... EDIT: dont get me wrong, i enjoy watching the street side of trials, shrewers, judders, pratt, berridge and the like, i enjoy watching their vids or clips of them. the stuff they do is beyond me. The likes of ALI C and PORTER at the moment have both released ashton vids this week and both were amazing and made me try new stuff whhich is what you want. but there are too many people who think "my god if i get an ashton ill be able to do this". this is not true, in fact its complete bollocks. All the names i have mentioned above are good in their own right and at what they do. ITS ONLY TRIALS AFTER ALL. just because we ride one way or another it becomes boring. then you get the dicks who come on here who have quit trials who just come on to say how shit trials is. WHICH IS GAY. what type of sad b*****d comes online to do that. if you dont like trials then f**k OFF. we all have one common interest....we ride bikes in different ways to the normal. we spend shit loads on bikes and go to rides and meet new people. some people need to stop being such sheepish twats and pull their heads out of some peoples arses and enjoy how everyone rides. I personally am amazed at all sorts of different riding. some natural some street, some go big, some go technical, its all cool. argh this topic allowed me to get some feelings out. i needed to say that. thats my two peice sorry im a little upset tonight, so this isnt aimed at anyone, just a trend i noticed.
  6. ive been through a fair few frames now, and i prefer the adamant to any of them. ddg curtis coust toxsin brisa adamant dmr trailstar are a list of the frames i have had
  7. but kyle....................... YOUR FAT. so its to be expected love you really.
  8. VW golf mk4/5 not sure which, not the newest one. 1.6 litre engine racing green. I love it, always wanted the version i have, obviously i would prefer more power but i dont have the money for insurance or car, or anything haah ben
  9. 1. magura 05 brakes 2. Grind on both wheels 3. heatsink reds up front - awesome and hardly wear / CNC backings with coust pads ont rear (even better with a decent grind) 4. water and die icer
  10. Andy......... You will be fine, I run the low echo hi-fi stem on my bike, with no spacers and zoo bars tilted reet forward. It is very low when just riding along, but gives a bike that is uber stable on the back wheel. You will get on with it, and your body will adjust to the new position. HOWEVER, if it continues then get a slightly higher rise stem. Maybe the echo hi-fi high rise stem then it should be alright. I love mine. hope you enjoy it. just so you know its not amazing for tapping, but they can be done with practice. So many people on here didnt give high BB a chance at all, and for those of us that have. ITS AWESOME. I love it, its good for stuff i enjoy doing. ITS THE FUTURE ben
  11. my opinion is the following....... if your getting an ashton becaue you think it will make you ride anything like ALI C or JAMES PORTER (both sponsored by ashton) after seeing there recent videos then DONT...... it will not make you automatically ride like either of these, who have both been riding ages and both are ace riders who push their limits. DONT BE A SHEEP>>>>>>>>> get something different. just my opinion. but you should NEVER get a bike, hoping it will make you ride like someone who has one. It doesnt happen like this. ben* * sorry if this seemed harsh to say, my rear windscreen went through on my car tonight so i just need to get it sorted and im a little grumpy
  12. sidehops up rails rule the fun is never ending, going to try 180 pivots on them soon though. which is dirty haha anything to do with rails, just overcome them again since i fell on one and got internal bleeding
  13. So....anyone fancy it. let me know , hopefully me, bobbyd, sam, and towler will be along. put your name in here and let us know. Ill let u know a starting time and place soonish.. ben
  14. Zoo cranks rule, they are the best cranks I have used EVER. they are the bee's knees. and ive had tensiles, middleburns, truvativs, all sorts. STIFF STRONG and laugh off the damage...... although....only 170mm length, and black and silver. ta ben
  15. best brake i have felt is hope trial brake (duncan shaw's) its a hope try-all trial brake. it works ace. although i cant say because i havent ridden a avid so i havent voted......
  16. i have done 50 so that makes it only one pallet - meh meh meh meh meh nah but its high whatever it is, apparantly craig lee scott has done 55" up a wall, damon watsons done 54" (on a stock, which is harder) ta ben
  17. 8 PROPER blue pallets is closer to 52" i think ..........so i found out when i tried, well they are 6.5" thick pretty much. so 10 is high, BUT HE DOESNT MAKE IT imo, because why would they have stopped it if he had made it, he slipped down, i will eat my shorts if someone proves me wrong. he does make 9 pretty piss though at the end of that clip
  18. he doesnt look to make it though chimpy or you would have shown the whole video. I can see he easily makes 9 pallets......which is the second one. BUT the first one, he doenst make, look how much his rear tyre slipping off it is big, but i dont think he makes it.....
  19. meh who cares, you could have at least put up a decent quality picture, i hate it when people use video screen shots. its a dece sidehop, but not as high as some are saying . its definately NOT 45 anyway, maybe without the pallet. which makes it about 39 with the pallet. sorry....but it was the shit screenshot that pissed me off. but good sidehop, for a 14 year old
  20. tom we must have similar musical taste's....either that or im your stalker btw everyone, a few people have said that the video is only 20 or so seconds long PLEASE GO TO THE VIDEOS PAGE FOR THE FULL LENGTH VIDEO > benhulltrials6.mov / .divx I would like to know peoples thoughts. so let me know, however harsh
  21. go on slag high bb's. they are fine for tapping if you take the time to learn them on it. ive done 52" on mine, so it can be done. and if you ask me thats a fairly uncomprehendable size for most. if you take the time high BB bikes can be tapped. OK....... just hit the wall harder and lower, dont hold your front brake, let it spin. it works.......
  22. tights are probably warmer than baggy clothes though silly boy cool vid. not that much snow though we have a foot deep here
