  1. VW golf mk4/5 not sure which, not the newest one. 1.6 litre engine racing green. I love it, always wanted the version i have, obviously i would prefer more power but i dont have the money for insurance or car, or anything haah ben
  2. 1. magura 05 brakes 2. Grind on both wheels 3. heatsink reds up front - awesome and hardly wear / CNC backings with coust pads ont rear (even better with a decent grind) 4. water and die icer
  3. Andy......... You will be fine, I run the low echo hi-fi stem on my bike, with no spacers and zoo bars tilted reet forward. It is very low when just riding along, but gives a bike that is uber stable on the back wheel. You will get on with it, and your body will adjust to the new position. HOWEVER, if it continues then get a slightly higher rise stem. Maybe the echo hi-fi high rise stem then it should be alright. I love mine. hope you enjoy it. just so you know its not amazing for tapping, but they can be done with practice. So many people on here didnt give high BB a chance at all, and for those of us that have. ITS AWESOME. I love it, its good for stuff i enjoy doing. ITS THE FUTURE ben
  4. my opinion is the following....... if your getting an ashton becaue you think it will make you ride anything like ALI C or JAMES PORTER (both sponsored by ashton) after seeing there recent videos then DONT...... it will not make you automatically ride like either of these, who have both been riding ages and both are ace riders who push their limits. DONT BE A SHEEP>>>>>>>>> get something different. just my opinion. but you should NEVER get a bike, hoping it will make you ride like someone who has one. It doesnt happen like this. ben* * sorry if this seemed harsh to say, my rear windscreen went through on my car tonight so i just need to get it sorted and im a little grumpy
  5. sidehops up rails rule the fun is never ending, going to try 180 pivots on them soon though. which is dirty haha anything to do with rails, just overcome them again since i fell on one and got internal bleeding
  6. So....anyone fancy it. let me know , hopefully me, bobbyd, sam, and towler will be along. put your name in here and let us know. Ill let u know a starting time and place soonish.. ben
  7. Zoo cranks rule, they are the best cranks I have used EVER. they are the bee's knees. and ive had tensiles, middleburns, truvativs, all sorts. STIFF STRONG and laugh off the damage...... although....only 170mm length, and black and silver. ta ben
  8. best brake i have felt is hope trial brake (duncan shaw's) its a hope try-all trial brake. it works ace. although i cant say because i havent ridden a avid so i havent voted......
  9. i have done 50 so that makes it only one pallet - meh meh meh meh meh nah but its high whatever it is, apparantly craig lee scott has done 55" up a wall, damon watsons done 54" (on a stock, which is harder) ta ben
  10. 8 PROPER blue pallets is closer to 52" i think ..........so i found out when i tried, well they are 6.5" thick pretty much. so 10 is high, BUT HE DOESNT MAKE IT imo, because why would they have stopped it if he had made it, he slipped down, i will eat my shorts if someone proves me wrong. he does make 9 pretty piss though at the end of that clip
  11. he doesnt look to make it though chimpy or you would have shown the whole video. I can see he easily makes 9 pallets......which is the second one. BUT the first one, he doenst make, look how much his rear tyre slipping off it is big, but i dont think he makes it.....
  12. meh who cares, you could have at least put up a decent quality picture, i hate it when people use video screen shots. its a dece sidehop, but not as high as some are saying . its definately NOT 45 anyway, maybe without the pallet. which makes it about 39 with the pallet. sorry....but it was the shit screenshot that pissed me off. but good sidehop, for a 14 year old
  13. tom we must have similar musical taste's....either that or im your stalker btw everyone, a few people have said that the video is only 20 or so seconds long PLEASE GO TO THE VIDEOS PAGE FOR THE FULL LENGTH VIDEO > benhulltrials6.mov / .divx I would like to know peoples thoughts. so let me know, however harsh
  14. go on slag high bb's. they are fine for tapping if you take the time to learn them on it. ive done 52" on mine, so it can be done. and if you ask me thats a fairly uncomprehendable size for most. if you take the time high BB bikes can be tapped. OK....... just hit the wall harder and lower, dont hold your front brake, let it spin. it works.......
  15. tights are probably warmer than baggy clothes though silly boy cool vid. not that much snow though we have a foot deep here
  16. cheers for comments boys much appreciated anyone else
  17. some ace photoshop there chimpy, sweet as. by the way i sent you a pm. add me to msn if u fancy biketrialsmedia@hotmail.com
  18. send me some clips then son and u will be on it daft lad, i need decent quality please.
  19. Right. I went to glasgow with me mate towler yesterday, got some footage, enough for a video so i thought i would release one. Also i have been playing around with making www.hull-trials.co.uk, which has taken some time and since i saw jonny jones trialmedia site its a very simple version of that. its got pretty much the same major feature (the clips) but is not a carbon copy its my own (allbeit shit) coding and my own work, i just used the same idea. so please visit the website, video can obviously be found on the videos page, but certain short clips are on the main page...... maybe have a look around and let me know what u think of the site aswell. www.hull-trials.co.uk video is benhulltrials6.mov (also available in divx) its 2:35 long and around 25mb........ please dont hotlink. ta

  23. oooooo this ashton bikes craze thats going on............. i know he is sponsored....... sweet video ali, i wish i had that amount of style, very nicely done, given me some thoughts for the week while snow is a foot deep not liking the music though. endohopper, one minute u like big stuff, one minute u dont......meh i think all the tartybikes offering have been good :$. im especially liking ali's and stan's stuff, both good riders. damon get ur video out you fat son of a b............east
  24. yes it is harder for taps.....but depends on what type of stem you run...for me it seems taps are easier with a higher stem because the effective rise levels out to a more even overall rise so a bb rise of 55 with a stem of 20 rise is difficult to tap....... = 35rise but a bb rise of 55 with a stem of 35 rise is easier IMO..... = 20rise its difficult to say, although i have done around 52" on my adamant, and only did 55 on the toxsin. but if you spend ages tapping stuff then dont bother with the adamant its not amazing for it.
