Although please dont think the forum is a rival to T-F its just so the scottish riders can keep the general shit of another forum away from this one. Its basically just a wee forum, with basics Scottish riders get along to this
-
sorry guys, just need to get the scottish riders aware of this topic
-
i know but i aint telling..............three are confirmed one isnt. www.nbtc-scotland.com for more info, although not much more than what you already know

NBTC-SCOTLAND.COM get along to this site and lets get this scottish series running.

sorry darren.... in my opinion (which we should all be able to express) i feel this sort of question has been answered before, generally its a topic people wont change their opinion on. This is my opinion on this topic, i think that its a topic we should leave alone, because its almost a topic slagging the way we ride, i know it wasnt intended like that, but this is how people ride trials. All the riders in GET 1 are top, top riders. Some of them are cream of uks riders, and this is how they ride. All of it is amazing how they can do the stuff they do, but then this all started when one senior member commented on repetition from a CLS video, and all the homo sheep followed and started with all this crap about boring this boring that. Thing is i find all this spinny stuff boring, i couldnt ride like tim pratt/shrewers because I PERSONALLY FIND IT BORING, but i can sit back and think 'holy shit' - you boys are amazing at what you do. I have an example of this from a trip to inverness a couple of weeks back..... we were riding with danny macaskill (amazing street rider (my favourite in fact)) and he was riding around massive bunny hops amazing g-turns and all this ace street stuff. Im stood there almost awe struck. His skills are amazing. Being who i am i carried on riding how i like, then i pulled a 48-49" sidehop to both wheels, and danny is stood there with his jaw near his ankles. We were both amazed at how the other rode, although neither of us tried to emulate the other its just how we enjoyed riding and we both appreciated the ability the other had. Its simple as that . Im going to leave this one, because i think i have made my point. I just hate this type of topic, because its almost a sly dig at each others riding style. (although i know YOUR topic wasnt intended like this.) EDIT : missed the last bracket for all you punctuation monkeys heehee

how do you mean closed minded ali.???? that comment confused me......your style of riding is ace, because you have the attitude of "who cares what people think of my riding!!!!". From your comments on topics like this its easy to tell that you dont care, you go out and ride how you like, same attitude as i have and i like that, yes i do go out hoping to improve on inches, but i also go out and ride technical stuff for the banter . its all gravy.... adam, i hope that wasnt referenced to me. . I loved the dvd, none of my comments in this topic are aimed at the dvd. Yes in the 'GET' topic i mentioned that i thought it was let down by the time it took to make. BUT like someone else has said, nick should be extremely proud. its the best trials dvd available by a mile. The editing is great and the level of riding is good. im just sick of topics slating or commenting on the way people ride. Its all been said before, the topic starter just added the GET dvd in as an example. I just get so annoyed, because like you say, just get out and ride.

haha, im laughing hoping there was a bit of sarcasm in there . Sorry, i get so annoyed with this type of topic, my total view is I DONT CARE, and anyone who does should rethink their opinion. i have made so many comments recently with almost identical points. The fact of the matter is, each person on here should go out and ride how they like to ride. Its simple as. I dont go out thinking oh my god!!!!!!!!1111 james porter rides like this so im going to try that. where as some people on here see how a person rides, and go out and try to ride like that as well, thinking its a cool factor. For foooooks sake most of us are in our mid to late teens or older and we ride freaking push bikes around, we are never going to be classed as cool. I dont care how one member rides compared to another. As long as they are riding for fun then thats the main aim. I like to try a bit of everything, but at the moment im into powermoves where its tryin harder, and natural is where its at....... (incase anyone didnt know, the *ben* in my original post was me )

we have had this topic and this generalising of trials so many times recently. WHO THE f**k CARES.....sorry but its that simple. e.g...... A guy (lets call him ben) goes out on his generic long black bike with high bb, does a couple of 48" sidehops, then some taps, then some tap 90's then a sidehop onto a rail and rides along it. He then starts doing competition style sections on the street, but mixing it up like nick goddard BUT on a long bike. he has filmed all this so releases a video on a forum (lets call it TF). Ben then gets slated for trying to be like nick goddard/ali c etc even though ben is just having fun on his bike. Then another wanker says that its repetitive because he is doing big taps and sidehops. The point is that Ben cannot release a video on TF without being said to be boring etc. Ben realises that so many people on this forum bum other riders, and buy the same bikes hoping to be as good as that said rider. Ben now states that he is f**king bored of this same conversation that keeps popping up over and over. No body cares. Ben had fun riding his bike how HE wants, not trying to be tim pratt/goddard/porter/shrews/ali c/cls/stan shaw etc, he went out and tries stuff he wants to....... so please close this topic its been heard all before.

APRIL FOOLS DAY............FOOLS
-
why not take an old seat, cut a hole in it and try what ur saying? without these ideas we wouldnt get anywhere anyway. All ideas start off like this. Im sure a LONG LONG LONG time ago no-one would have thought about carrying a bag around under your seat to carry your stuff. But on XC bikes its popular now-a-days ben
-
Peter would you just fire them stills up on here for everyone to see. We in scotland are getting a park, and im looking at manmade and natural sections so some ideas would be excellent. so if you could fire these out it would be great. Cheers ben Here are some pictures from a trials park in Pau, Francais........ace looking park, tis a shame i didnt have my bike .....anyway, take a lookie.... [attachmentid=3380] [attachmentid=3381] [attachmentid=3379] [attachmentid=3382] ali-i know its not trials BUT........it is motorbike trials (obviously build on a smaller scale) - http://images.google.co.uk/images?svnum=10...als&btnG=Search http://www.trialscentral.com/user_photos/a...2006/sheffield/ http://www.trialspain.com/imagenes_de_biketrial.asp

and ur fat so u wanted to lose some weight on your bike to reduce the overall weight of bike + rider......... u big monkey. anyway good to hear ull be along to the comps sonny jim...... love you
-
come on guys, this is important for the necessity of the scottish trials series. a website will be up and running soon. so ill keep you posted...... ben
-
BUT, if u damage the beam or the post when u fall off, which can happen, then you have to buy a whole new seat/post whereas a standard post has replaceable parts, and the rails can be bent back.... however. they are light
-
he realised they were cheesy........ watson I need to speak to you on msn, so get your arse on tonight you big nipple erection.... love you, and liking the bike. BTW, where is that picture taken, what are the rocks like? Ben
