  1. MTB wheels can't cope with trials. http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/135mm_fixed_hubs/trialtech_race_sealed_rear_hub/c21p11423.html http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/complete_freewheels/tensile_60_click/c16p398.html Those two together will do the job perfectly. Slightly cheaper than a hope pro II, and leaves you open to swapping to front freewheel in the future. Seeing as your current wheel sounds f**ked, it might be worth opening it to see if there's anything you can do. Remove the cassette. Try pulling the freehub body - that's the bit the cassette sits on - out, and anti-clockwise. You have to pull quite firmly. If it doesn't show signs of moving, there might be a nut or something to take off that'll be on the end of the axle. Open it, if there's tiny chunks of metal lying about that's why it's bust. Take a pic and post it up, perhaps.
  2. Do you have tools? Get a block of wood, 5 cm cube would do it, drill into it a hole that's the width of the hose, cut this exactly in half with a saw. Place the hose in the hole, clamp this in a clamp, and then hammer the fitting in. So yeah, you need to make those. It will make this job roughly 100% easier.
  3. If you look very hard in some past posts you might still find that picture. Hahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaa.
  4. Definitely didn't watch this video specifically because of this comment...
  5. I put a woman's shopping on a checkout today, and I remembered, I have this habit of fitting the items together like tetris when I put them out. I think it does irritate me a little bit if I don't do it.

    Csc Rim Brakes

It irritates me when my brake rubs at all, I don't think I'd like a brake like this.
  7. It's all about 2 bolt boosters. They're easier to set up. I modified my tensile booster, tarty say it's the stiffest 4 bolt booster you can get. For the sake of ease I used to just run the top two bolts. I cut the bottom off later cause it makes it easier. Anyway, yeah, unless your frame is ridiculously flexy - my ciguena for example used to flex out at pretty much the same rate as you'd pull the lever - get a 2 bolt booster.
  8. RB levers are known for leaking. But that would make it lose pressure during use... Either it's holding air, your bleeds suck or the seals are bust. That's all I can think of. Actually, that's right... So then what's the next weakest part of the brake? The hoses perhaps, or the cylinder itself.
  9. Yeah, at the worst it would pop the master piston out. Mine froze once and locked on... I took it off and rode home without. Didn't break it.
  10. When a brake freezes the main thing that happens is the water expands. It could push your master piston out of the cylinder but I can't picture anything worse happening .

    Other Hobbies

Electric guitar Uni work uses a lot of free time at the mo Spending time with this lass also uses a fair bit of time Aaand obviously I'm a gunslinger.
  12. List, list like you've never listed before!
  13. Or cut up an old tyre and zip tie it to the bash plate. Pile of extra weight but it'd do the job.
  14. +35 is a good bb height. I'd have higher on a street bike if there was one.

    Slow Motion

If you really want to do good slow motion you need to use a higher/slower frame rate on your camera. Then you play it back at the normal frame rate and it comes out slow. There's a technique in premiere to fill in gaps between frames but I've not tried it out. Also it's premiere.
  16. So long as there's space. It might be more difficult with certain callipers, BB7 is the main one I think you'd have an issue with.
  17. If you're in Birmingham, you're fairly close to Loughborough, where Josh is. I'm sure he could answer all your questions and do the welding for you. He's Rob Leech on here. Send him a PM!
  18. Probably not. There's not gonna be much difference cause bar diameter is standard but there's gonna be small differences in bolt placement and angle and stuff.
  19. Someone needs to do the same thing but with sweets and chocolate and biscuits and crisps.
  20. Could you not run the cams on the outside?
  21. I want one of these. Shame they don't always do them.
  22. If you're into necrophilia, then it's even more worth it. If you're not, you could cut her brain out and get on with it whilst she's still warm, and jiggle her about a bit so she seems to be moving. A bit of imagination wouldn't go amiss either.
  23. You should be able to see stress marks before they snap. You could watch out for those, I suppose.
