  1. haha which is of course not true. It would be the same as using just one freewheeling mechanism, only more stupid.
  2. No, I know. I think everyone knows its a ludicrous idea that people only wonder about when they first come across FFWs
  3. I'd never go for FFW and rear freehub just due to the fact that you'd get varying EPs, cus sometimes they'd engage at the same times, and sometimes they'd engage differenly, meaning more pedal motion before engagement. Cool, interesting to hear that FFW & Rear fixed gear hubs were actually used in comps. I wonder why/what the benefit was over the standard gear arrangement.
  4. I searched to no avail 6 speed fixed hub Tarty do a 6 speed fixed hub... Which means you could use it with a ffw, and have gears at the back, in theory. Is it possible? Anyone use this arrangement? I was just thinking, the standard hope pro II hub has something like 32eps, which is considerably less than the try-all FFW. So that would allow you to have gears and a stupid amount of engagements, which is always good. Seeing as when the chain's always rolling with a FFW, it would also mean if you stopped pedalling, the gears would still change. Anyway, discuss?
  5. on the hub, they tighten towards the hub shell. So if its the same freewheel, it will tighten away from the crank arm. The crank arm and the hubs shell are on opposite sides of the freewheel, meaning clockwise on one will undo it, and on the other tighten it.
  6. haha, it was my tutor's idea!
  7. Is it an onza? It's a f**kin old one if it is... One of these I think
  8. Sorted that, I'll upload it when I get home so you can have a look around.
  9. Sometimes your weight is a little too far forwards. See if you can pedalkick, then backhop, then kick again. Also, as someone mentioned, good gapping practice is setting two planks of wood on the ground and jumping between them, and moving them apart. To go further, you want to lower the front end, and crank the pedals back a bit, then explode into punching the pedal down, throwing your weight forwards and slightly upwards to move the bike. Where I am now, I need to learn to move my own weight more, and take the bike with me. That, I believe, is the secret to huge gaps. You say you've got there after one day? Well done dude, it's taken most of us a lot longer to get there.

  11. haha, well thats one way to make money out of someone's stupidity
  12. haha, already done that I guess I could upload it at some point, so people can have a look-see
  13. Made this today for a college assignment, what do you reckon?
  14. I don't see why they didn't just put collection only.
  15. The postage on that is ridiculous. Its quite obviously a scam.
  16. UG has a forum, but its global and is probably faster moving than the other one you suggested. Its also full of topics like, 'what amp's good for metal?' 'what guitar should I get?' etc etc. Imagine a guitar-based trials forum with no NMC. Scary.
  17. Fireeye firebars, unless you're concerned about weight. only £15 too, from CRC
  18. So the bolt is stuck in the mount. If i were you, I would cry. You could drill out the bolt and then helicoil the hole, otherwise.
  19. to be honest, my max sidehop was 1.5ft, but i had ridden for about 1 month, and I sidehop from two wheels and to my good-foot side.
  20. That's pretty cool, and also weird. My laptop's occasionally woke me up (and itself - i use the sleep function) with the key-is-stuck-down sound, even though no keys are stuck down. Similarly weird. Especially how it gets from sleep to on...
  21. nice bike, make sure you stick to it!
  22. A sensible person would've made it vault-like all over. I guess if you keep your room clean yourself, then that would make the cleaners happier, so you could get away with it in your room.
