  1. Some would argue that your best bet is to buy one with a good spline, I think the favourite is a shimano one, and buy some better bearings, such as rolls-royce bearings. Depends on how much you can be arsed with faffing around taking it apart
  2. The filming was great, cool video Don't quit for good, you just need to look for something to get you back out.
  3. I found this link at the top of the riding pictures section
  4. I found a decent condition bike pump at the top of a hill/downhill run. I kept it. Don't think it's the coolest thing I've found though.
  5. That sounds pretty win, however - Even better.
  6. That's strange, I always pictured you as a blonde...
  7. I like the colours. It's a pretty nice site! I'd use a darker font, and not italics, for the about you bit of text, but other than that, not bad. Interesting how you've got it all on one page though, when it moves down I kept looking for links for the other bits... how come you chose that and not separate pages? All the best for your freelancing
  8. If all you're doing to the timing is replacing the belt for it, it shouldn't actually matter whether stuff is lined up or not. All you have to do is not move anything This is because if it already runs, everything is already in time, which leads me onto my second idea - chances are, if you put one part of the system in line with the timing marks, all the rest will fall into the correct place.
  9. They probably didn't bat an eyelid because the camera did it for them.
  10. That's not how you do it... The person pedalling stands up, and the other person sits on the seat.
  11. I would've thought, for example the koxx team, koxx is a huge trials manufacturer, so they can pump more money into their team riders, but also because their riders are close by, they have more influence over them. Something like that
  12. If you really want suspension, you want a light fork like Marzocchi MX comp. I think they've been rereleased as the 22. You'll need to lower them ideally, to 80mm or lower. If your back end is heavy you won't notice having suspension, like on my bike when I tried it out, lol, but if its a light bike, it will feel strange.
  13. 18-14 is great ratio for proper trials, and 18-13 is good for streety stuff but without making trials impossible.
  14. I've always been like it might have to do with the fact I was about 18 before I actually became any good on a bike to even think about trying stuff.
  15. The problem is, that was clearly never ever going to work, ever.
  16. simon says, GTFU, throw yo' hands in the sky, queens is in the back sippin yak y'all what's up? giiiirls, rub on yo' titties..
  17. When you gap to front, cock your stem - push your whole body weight into the stem to keep it on the back wheel. Obviously, don't do it to the point you go over the bars. Then, you should be enough balanced on the front wheel to either swing the back wheel round onto the object, or to wheelswap - let the front brake off whilst quickly switching your weight to the back wheel, pushing the bike forwards and up a bit so you get to back wheel. You can practise those on the flat, but you really need to learn to do the key thing for any of these moves - cocking the stem As for the brake, I use mine locked, partislly because I don't have much choice with it. You can land with it less on if you're able to wheelswap well already, I think. I'm not good at gaps to front, mind, I can only do them on flat, but when I do them right my whole weight is over the front of my bike.
  18. I know that hope do a couple of different axles for their pro II hubs. I was hoping they'd do one with nuts. Now, if I had a marino built that could take a BMX hub...
  19. If using a peg was more practical for me, I'd do it. Can you get a proper nut axle for a pro II?
  20. Oh yeah, I forgot about the thread on the funbolts... Stupid chris kings... Maybe I should see about swapping it for someone's 24" hope wheel.
  21. Heh, a guy I know, when he first ground his rim, he got the grinder, pointed it perpendicular to the rim, and just cut into it, it ended up having a kind of pattern like this |||||||||||| where the rim was shaped to the edge of the disc.
  22. I think when it comes to a car, unlike a wallet it's a bit impractical just to keep it. Chances are they'd go home, pick up some spare keys and come back.
  23. Hehe, I have koxx bloxx browns and my brake is a bit lacklustre. The grind I've got is quite dead now. When you use it they make this kind of swishy noise, although they have started to make a proper noise, which they never used to do.
