  1. I had a standard pig and I broke the lower race. I think cartridge bearings are much better.
  2. Then undo the cable holding bolt and move it up?
  3. BB7s are great, and it'd save you from needing a new lever, but do you need a new brake?
  4. It's dirt cheap... so I guess so, yeah.
  5. Oooh, I have that on my bmx. I think it will suit street much better than natural.
  6. Yes. They are one of the two favourite v-brake levers. The other is the shimano XTR lever. I've got one of those. It works well as a disc brake lever but it's made as a v-brake lever. Get either, you will not be disappointed.
  7. Upload money onto hard drive. Post hard drive. Done. Western Union? Western summat...
  8. FSA have been going for ages and their headsets are quality shit. I used to have a Pig Pro, which I kept through multiple frames. I think I still have it now. I bought it in something like 2004. For the sake of a couple of quid, I'd get the FSA one.
  9. They do seem to have quite a hunched over position. We've got long reach, high BB and low forks, so it will chuck your weight forwards compared to another kind of bike. Now that's not to say your bike doesn't have a low stem. Get some pictures up! Then we can see.
  10. No... in my experience those pads wear down quickly. I put some on a mate's bike, and they wore down completely in one ride. Mind you, we were riding between spots, but it's still shocking.
  11. I'm sure there are places in the basford industrial estate that could do it for you. Which bit of nottingham are you in?
  12. Jogging pants with an elastic bottom will make you look less stupid but should keep out of your chain. Are you using a bashplate then?
  13. I admit, it can be very difficult to change feelings that are already motion. It is much the same as other things. The negative emotion, sadness, anger, is a tide that will sweep you away if you let it. But if you apply effort in the right places, you can stop such a thing before it gets difficult to control, and turn the tide in your favour.
  14. Hmm.. So you should accept that nothing is forever and to avoid allowing yourself to become affected by it when it inevitably ends, when all along you knew it would end, and you allowed yourself to become deluded that it might be otherwise. That seems like a pretty sensible way to live your life. My system seems to work on a level below that.. Rather than seeing through and understanding that, as a reason not to become affected, you should not become affected because allowing yourself to become consumed by negative emotions is unproductive, and is pointless when you have a choice over how you feel, and you may as well choose to feel positive, which you enjoy, than negative, which you do not. Throw in some degree of 'for the greater good' and you've got pretty much how I think.
  15. This make buddhism sound interesting. I'd like to know more. I've read through this before - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stoicism - and I find this to be very similar or the same as what I came up with myself.
  16. There isn't a tuesday ride yet. I never said I was good. And I was trying to help, but you've posted a bullshit description of your problem which makes it impossible.
  17. Smooth rim? What pads? This is all stuff he should've put in his OP so that we could solve this problem quickly.
  18. Imagine if he clubbed together with Trialtech Dave to make new frames...
  19. Strength was always the main thing with carbon forks. Is there metal in those legs too?
  20. How could a man control his world, when he cannot even control himself?
  21. I think it's got to do with this guy's cracking description of his brake and the problem that afflicts it. Pezza p, from your description all I can assume is your rim is covered in shite.
  22. HEY KRIS, REMEMBER TO BRING THOSE BARS TO THE RIDE WE JUST WENT TO.
