Hey, i do a public services course at college and have had a Q&A session with hampshires head fireman, basically it is all about trying. The problem is that there are so many aplicants each month/week they openly stated that one week they will do brown letters, the next white. So if your applicant is not successful the first time keep trying. Ensure that spelling is perfect and all grammar is correct as they will narrow it down like this. Any volunteer work or public duties will help you alot. The tests are pretty easy now compared to a while ago i think, it's now level 7 on the bleep test? Dragging a dummy lifting some weights up some stairs and a endurance test which needs to be completed in 4:30 which is a 30m course consisting of dragging/lifting weights and sprints (i maxed it at 3:04 so it is a pretty easy test with normal fitness). Thing is if you compare the spec and weight it is literally a bike whore thing. My comp is fine for cycling to and from work and college, i'm no triathlon racer so it is more than addaquette (SP) for me. I actually love it though, i never got roadies but now i have one i get it!! Right so my car over heats last night after some guy taps my bumper nice enough to sort me out some cash there and then, i notice my car is overheating. (the tap could not of caused this). I open the water cap and it just boils at me (here we go). Tried letting it cool down and filling it up but no luck, just overheats. -The thermostat is working as it give a clear indication of the temp (f**king hot) -The system is workign as there is pressure all around. -HOWEVER the heating inside the car is not blowing hot air? A mate reckons it could be the heater matrix but i have no idea what that is haha need some help big time. Right been tallying up the issues and the fualts trying to problem solve so here we go a detail overview you might be able to help smile.gif 1. The water and oil show no sign of oil and water mixture (GOOD SIGN) 2. Replaced thermostat rules out that issue (GOOD SIGN) 3. The water boild back up to the tank within 10 mins (SIGN OF GONE HEADGASKET sad.gif ) 4. Removed the air filter to have a better look at everything and there is a feed pipe which is filled with creamy potent shit (like a head gasket had gone BAD sad.gif) 5. place thumb over to see if it was an air feed and it built pressure up making the oil over flow out the dipstick? (linked to engine) (BAD SIGN sad.gif ) Any thoughts? Again the heaters are not blowing hot air, i have bled the system and that did nothing sad.gif Really stuck this car is being a pain in the arse sad.gif Tom Anyone help????
