What a great topic! It seems most of us started trials doing no-footer endos on our 'trials' bikes lol My 'trials bike' was a lovely xc scott with racelines, tiogas, P2's and the seat rammed right down. Classic, twas stolen though

Watching Evolve got me into trials riding, I don't think I knew trials existed as a sport before watching that. Since then... The boon Mr Feeney and Neil Tunnicliffe Have all released videos that have kept me riding hard with a belief that anythings possible. Cheers Guy's!... and keep em coming ;-)

I've alway's used a smooth rim. Your rims and pads will last longer. I use Plazmatic pads and in the dry its the perfect brake. If they get wet... not so good, but they don't take long to dry out and I don't ride in the rain much anyway!

I use em, always have since the move from v's! Same set too I think! Oh one set did get nicked along with the rest of me bike but the bike I brought had yellow-uns on! why the interest?

Nice to see some riders are of a similar age here... I love riding and try to get as much in as poss in-between work and my family! Us elderly riders should meet up for a ride one day and show em young-uns how it's done. Although we'll probably just end up talking about it in a pub lol!

A singles club?? Er... no sorry. I'm fast approaching a quater of a century which is a bit worrying, so I wondered if there were many other riders around my age.

Just wondering... what is the average age of us trials riders? Not seen it posted before and thought it might prove interesting! (ahem)

excellent advice.... thanks everyone! You have probably saved my kneecaps by the sound of it and my sanity (I thought I had lost all ability after 6 months of no bike!) I have plenty of options to try. Might just take bike to shop and see how some look up against it. Now if only I'd hung some string from the old bike's bars before it was nicked :lol:)) Will remember to do it when this one feels right! Ta, Kev.

The bars I have are EA50's but must be the shorter rise version?? They don't rise much. This is a completely new bike to me as my last one was stolen ;-( The front just seems too low to me and I'm struggling to keep the front up.

Hi, I have just brought a Leeson which is sweet. Only problem is the front end is a little low so I think I need some bars and a stem with a little more rise. Any ideas?? I like the look of the Megamo team bars + stem but not sure if they are sold seperatly? Anyone know where I can get some?

mmmmm not sure. Would have to try it! Rear brake would obviously have to be a disk to stop the stay's snapping while braking!
