So you saying my avid will have better power than a mono trial? Oh yeah, did your avid used to flex like a beast? Mine did. I was using an XTR cable and that was fully stretched but the calliper arm used to bend and flex.

Trying to avoid that one now. Its broken 3 times. I bent the calliper just by pulling the lever hard twice, and yesterday it just exploded and fired the internals everywhere. Its a shame cause I spent 40quid on a lever and cable :blink: Basicaly, I want the same bite + lock as an avid but without the power fade.

I just put it back together minus a few parts and it doesnt work obviously. BUT!! I have found out something that will be a great help to all you people with avids.. It all flew apart because of one little nut that had come loose underneath the outside red adjuster knob and after playing with it, I reallized that if you keep playing with the knob, the little nut comes undone quite easily. Soooo, every now and again, flip off the outside red knob with a screw driver and tighen the 11mm nut :blink: Sam

Theyre C2 rotors that Clive just cuts down. Theyre too powerfull for the front, and if you can get a C2 in 180, then yeah. Who cares. Nothing wrong with your current one.

Was standing with my bike today and heard a ping. Looked down to find the contents of my avid disk calliper on the floor and I think I've lost some bits. Has anyone got a calliper they want to sell? Dont need rotor or mounting bracket so whether its a 160, 180 or 203 it doesnt matter, Sam

Mini. Infact all the minis I have ever tried have been amazing and have awesome modulation. Much better than the mono minis.

I think all this CNC tripe looks pretty rubbish to be honest. A CNC chainstay yoke is enough, any more and it just looks gashy and un-needed. Sam
