  1. Strangely it actually rides really nice. You can get SO much control on the back wheel Front wheel moves are lively due to the almost 90deg headtube angle, but I'll get used to it. I'm actually considering riding this propperly
  2. Yeah it feels fairly flexless The other cranks have stripped, so it's muchos effort getting them off! I might put a propper seat on there too.
  3. She's called Genny and currently she has a wheelbase of 1005mm, a reach of 620mm, chain stays of 400mm and a BB rise of 55mm. She also has horizontal dropouts, a built in mech hanger and a square toptube. She's also made of 4130 chromoly! She's lovely The backwheel and cranks are only temporary, when I manage to get my other burns off my other bike with a leeson bash, and the back wheel will be a mono on a d521 when i build the hub up again. Oh and I need to trim the steerer tube a bit. What do you all think? I like to think that she is old school twisted with new school.
  4. Wheelbase = 1005mm Reach = 620mm Chainstays = 400mm BB rise = 55mm
  5. I'm quite interested in one of these orange student deals which if you produce your NUS card, they give you a 1000 free texts a month. However, do any of you know any good deals about with lots of texts (400+ a month) ? Cheers
  6. A foldable 26" with BMX bars and a down wire
  7. IF they ever have annother bike show, that wont be till May or so, what is coming up before then? Anything! Prefereably down south.
  8. Its crap. Your garden looks familliar, have I seen it on eBay?
  9. In the end I took a hacksaw to some kids BMX. Cheers though Iolo, next time
  10. Titec is going to be too short. Might go for the Echo, even if it is boring. If I was going to spend £50+, I'd buy a Thompson or something.
  11. Don't really want to spend 55quid on a stem really. I see no point. My Monty was £25 and that's done me fine. How about something of the echo variety? I need some new forks too, but I have my eye on some Zoo urbans for that. 110mm X 5deg. Any good?
  12. After going back to my Zoo bars from my old Echos, I have noticed how high my bars have suddenly become and they are actually throwing me off the back of the bike and I have to actually think about keeping the front low all the time Anyway, I've used a 110 Monty Urban stem for aaaaaages, so a change is in order. Preferably something as long, or longer if possible (too tall) but lower than the Monty which is pretty high. Any recomendations? It's for a Toxsin 1 btw.
  13. Just incase you need to take a wide survey, theres one on the Magura site too.
  14. bikedock.com yeah. Look for Base forks.
  15. You can get a new set of Ashton/Base/B4T (actually all come from same factory) forks for 40 squids.
  16. You need a shave boyo. GCSEs, ah memories, that was some time ago now.
  17. You would have lost any warrenty when you stripped them. Sorry.
  18. Less stickers and different bars. I'll put VPs back on when I find the plastic spacers for them, I might not drill my wheel now, it looks good enough. Bike needs a clean too, meh. My bars are back realllly high again. Oh well, they make gapping much less effort anyway.
  19. In any room with a toilet they should be plumbed in on the left. Most people are right handed and wipe with thier right hand, so you use your left hand to turn the hot tap on and wash your right hand first to stop spreading germs so freely. Its the same in the kitchen, you hold your plate to rinse it with your right hand and use your left hand to turn the tap on.
  20. Just wondered really as I have a newish job I get £7.00 an hour currently and work 8.5hours, one day a week. I'll increase my days in the hollidays, so I'll be in megga bucks Do you think its fair how much you get payed? Ah forgot to add, what is your job?? I work in a caravan show room
  21. Well spotted captain. I might have to get one then, it's about time for something different.
