fair play guys that was pretty good, really interesting to see the level of other riding around the world, keep it up
  2. remove the pads and have a look to see if they are glazed if they are give them a clean up with some sand paper. try to bed them in again, usin water and hard sharppe stops work well, dont just ride along dragging the brake
  3. i do like the look of the shorts
  4. does any one know who any of the riders were in the vid? even better who won? its about 7 years before i knew what trials was so i have no idea, actually it makes me interested in the history of trials
  5. even though it pissed down it was best trial i been to ever, apart from an other ymsa one, the sections were fairly hard cus of the wet, would have been mint in the dry and less hung over on my account. thanks for other riders who are better than me to for not turning up to kick my arse lol the pics dont really show how heavy the rain was, i was soaked in about 1 min

  10. where is that place looks Welsh to me !
  11. if there is only one in the class maybe they should be allowed to ride the higher class? i agree with wayne theres no point in riding against your self
  12. as hes only light, replace most of the bolts with alloy ones, alloy spoke nipples, dt rev 1.8mm-1.5mm spokes, vp pedals with alloy bolts and only 1 cage are lighter than the welgo mag ones and only £10 nylon/carbon cassete spacers/headset spacers try not to run tensiner is poss light inner tubes dont get braided hose, its fair weight if you know a machinist, get nylon headset cups turned, drill out the bottom bracket spindle to atleast 7 mm dia rholloff is only of the lightest chains about and also very strong alloy rear cog foam grips drill and cut stuff
  13. they were runnin front maggy at kox days, in the wet
  14. just because its a cnc machine does not mean it will machine it to a perfect size or surface finish, the RA from cnc milling is going to be alot rougher than a cnc grinder! depeding on the feeds and speeds used. iv be thinking the same question fro a while, and i would say that its so popular because its more a fashion and people think it looks good, also there isnt really a better/faster/cheaper manufacture process now with 6 axis machine centres that are used now, basicaly one part can be totally machined in one setup, and the machine can continue doing the same part non stop, with the help of bar feed systems. the fact that once setup the machine can keep turnin out parts 24 hours aday 365 days a year is why echo parts are made like that. i also do think that CNC is far to over used as a buzz word and i suspect that only the frams and forks go through and aneiling and normalizing precessing after machining would they still be good if they were milled manually ?
  15. im pretty sure its about 5 years since i told ever one that rear disc's rule, strangely enough my predection came true, lol
  16. ok i shall give you a ring tomoro as its a bit late now.
  17. didnt you get one of me looking less homeless? good pics though, even though you had a bad finger
  18. i gotta say that was really cool, all old school and stuff, i remember when that was actually what trials was
  19. hans rhey, rayan leach, mike bethnal
  20. why would king sponsor trials riders then ?
  21. i can still see a few places to save grams, why a tryall? iv tryed cutting the inner wall out, makes its about 50 grams lighter and loads weaker, drilled dx 32 much better, lighter when drilled and stronger, and better brake
  22. and the headtube is drilled to f**k, and has he cut the inner wall out of that rim ? and forks and stem
  23. just wondering whats the best one really, has to light, ergonomic, powerful, fairly robust and not to expensive cheers dave
