I don't live in Swansea, I live in Carmarthen but work pretty much in Swansea so some times ride there after or before work Pm me and I can pass you on some details I'm guessing you have just started uni there?
  5. It can't be very old if it's the new style? Are you using water or magura fluid ?
  6. Ok I have not read all the thread. BUT I am an engineer! Don't waste your time listening to people who are just guessing You should be able to get the tap drilled out with a carbide drill, or by using a carbide burr, but you will need to clamp it and use a pillar drill! Probably best taking it to a local engineer, and one decent should beable to sort it!
  7. thats because they are all to high to care down swansea

  11. probly the most important thing is to aim for the edge with your front wheel, if you are going up and over then down you will lose all the momentum.. you need to hit the edge with the bike at full extension infront of you, then just after landing you need to transfer you weight over the bars and forward, the more momentum you can get from taking the direct line with the front wheel the less effort you need to get the back wheel up.. My link 50secs in My link also some good slow of up to front

  17. I gotta say I really did hate the 05 ones for years but when I run out of old style ones I had to buy them, after I ground my body down to strop the cracking iv got to like them now, really good amount of power with the 4 finger blade
  18. Could well be but iv seen a few people with the same problem, and had a couple of people ask me how to fix the problem! Iv never used them my self
  19. Have u got snail cams, 22:19 or 20:17 is was you need
  20. the main problems with the trialtechs are they never seem to stay tight, and are always creaking. they are flexy when you compare them with others such as try all. and the pedal threads seem to fall out. weight isnt really a problem
  21. When did that happen sounds like I may have jinxed them, people do snap middle burns though and they are super strong so!!! I wouldn't bother with trialtechs even though they are half the price they are half as good!
  22. Gilles use to have that rear tyre also andre burton but I don't think they were the same, I think they are lighter but much less stable, Gilles now runs try all so Im guessing they are much better
  23. Once the material starts to pick up then grease won't help, the material basically starts to tear and spikes are formed
