  1. ha ha sorry tom,but your height ratio to obstacle height is awsome.
  2. careful with that, check out what type of fluid\oil the seals are for, if they are for mineral oil then magura would be ok. cooking oils mineral and a fair bit more viscous.
  3. interesting read so far, i like how hes asked for professinoal answers and still got the following. just because you been doing some thing for 50 years doesnt make it the correct way. pretty much every where needs to be greased or lubed in some way, arguments are generally about what types of grease is used for different materials. why wouldnt you want to lube a tapper on a crank? the use of a torque wrench is to ensure the material isnt deformed
  4. you probly better off sending it back for warranty if the bearing has cracked ? i think the bearings are modified from a standard size to fit, dont think you will get any else where
  5. i was gonna say he was looking a bit streched, i miss that Kabra
  6. I think the hole is a blind hole. You could always drill a hole in the snail cam an bolt it to the frame, you would have to work out the position though. Should work fine

  12. Some times you need to build the muscles up in that area, by using a support the muscles are getting used less so making them weaker long term, just what iv been told by a physio.
  13. Do you have to be offensive towards my dyslexia ?
  14. and there was every one thinking tartybikes was expanding due to extra sales... no just better riding area ha
  15. if the spoke tention is even then the frame is flexing, just look at the chain close next time. fact- i just had a bowl of cornflakes. lets get away from the simple idea that the pads act as a vice holding a lump of metal, think about how brakes on forks with rear mounted brakes are so much better. yes less flex= more force, if you think about the sidwall of the rim and how thin it is, its not going to have the same amount of rididity on the surface as its radial next thing is how comes the brake is different depending on wheel ratation? like loads of people have said its all down to the amount of flex, and there is defenatly and optimuim amount, i suppose this is down to frame materials rim,and pads etc.. when the brake is pulled the whole stay and pad are pretty much deformed, the pads acting like a wedge thats why even with the pads hitting perfect they still wear in a funny shape. this is also why forks with rear mounts are better, the wheel forces the pads forwards trying to jam them in.. the forces have to go some where.
  16. production of 200 they havnt made any since i think, some thing about the pant being to busy
  17. http://www.biketrialuk.co.uk/Events.htm There are a few who ride Swansea so you would be welcome to cone along to a ride, long way to go though
  18. I was just checking you weren't on about motor bike trials, don't worry your new and will soon pic up the lingo! Your not as far away as you could be, I live near Swansea so it's 4.5 hours drive for me, I'd say you are about 2 hours from Matlock area where there tend to be loads of comps Yes there is a British championship, you get get points depending on you place and gain points There is all levels and age groups.
  19. Firstly congrats for not moaning that you brake is crap! Your brake can't be that great with that setup! Personally I would much rather have a silent brake as long as it works, iv had brakes that make your ears bleed! But like people say it does give you confidence Firstly I would get a grind, there should be a video guide to do this if your unsure some where
  20. Trials isn't a race, and sorry but Wales doesn't have any, they are up north mainly, where about in Wales are you? http://www.biketrialuk.co.uk/Events.htm
  21. Was just last week, sounds like the first ones he's snapped as it was Couple of months ago when we spoke! But he's a real animal when it comes to hooking, he hooked some thing that vince and gaico failed in pray loup, I think Gilles was the only person to do it. So they might not be that weak as standard, so an incert seems to be a good idea just incase
