Because hope don't use a rubber o ring seal on the piston
-
How do you know how much you take off when you grind a rim, did you measure it or something. I don't think so because thats nearly impossible Your grind lasts ages because you don't ride as much as some. Do you ride in rain. Natural areas where it's muddy? Why is it that when some ones putting alot of effort in to improve trials and push things forwards you won't give it a chance. For all we know this could be a massive change in the direction of trials

Get an incert for the steerer tube and you won't need to worry about strength
-
I have not read every post but, I can't see how this hasn't been snapped up. I mean if it's as good as he's saying it's for life. I know of loads of riders who don't have a grinder and have to go with a dead grind for ages until they can get me to grind for them or borrow a grinder. Then there is also the people who can't never get a decent grind And the cost of a grinder and having a place to do it How many rims do people actually distroy over time?? In the last ten years iv only had about 2/3 rims I have every Pringled

How high can he side hop on his no brake machine? Some of them looked pretty big Makes me want to remove my brakes
-
Do you really have to tell them you were going for a 50ft drop gap when you broke your leg ? Couldn't you just say you were 'cycling' ?
-
Ah yea I can see what your saying, it makes the carbon wrap alot more complicated because of the shape though.
-
That was awsome
-
Yea I think it might be, I just didn't have that done because it won't make a difference for me But josh can tell us
-
From memory gilles said it looks just like a coust frame and he was disappointed that gt being such a big company couldn't be more initiative Kennys reply was gt invented triple triangle before you we're born now shut up Hardly professional
-
Yea maybe the swarf was a factor, but from an engineering point the surface RA (how smooth the surface is) of the bore will be a factor to how good the seal is, with the cnc process it's impossible to get any where near to what you get with a magura body Same reason the Rb levers leaked, the fix was to polish the bore surface with a Dremel That's value for money
-
Yes kenny was rude big time
-
Only time wi tell if they are as good as the original. In particular the bore for the piston, maybe they will leak over time like the echos. The surface finish wont be as good as the magura I havnt seen one for real yet though. But I do hope they work out good, I was about to machine my own bodies if the carbon wrap failed Best thing about the wrap is that its gonna be a fraction of the price and loads of people have the magura 05 already I have one that was cached wrapped at the same time and it's still working. I just wanted to see if it would work. As when mine crack they snap fairly soon after You can still buy the magura 05 bodies from magura

Really ? Gilles is one of the nicest riders there is. Maybe it's hard for him as he's poor at English It was only a few weeks ago kenny was bitching on face book about the new gt frame and said some pretty rude things. I thought it was very unprofessional oh him. But kenny is also a really nice guy and happy to chat to any one. But yes the video is totally crap.

Just had a look, they would be no good. Damage your heels if you bail. Might even be a bit thin for cage pedals. One of my things on the list of needs is protection. They cost about £120 new but I have used them for ages and wore the sole out before the mods Here's some thing to compare to http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=la+sportiva+ganda&hl=en&client=safari&tbo=d&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=y6T5UNqXLcqJ0AXJn4CYBQ&ved=0CAgQ_AUoAQ&biw=320&bih=356#i=23

Plus 1 just get over it Ali Don't look then! You don't perv on fat ugly girls do you ? Plenty about but no ones forcing you to look
-
This is the most bollox iv read on here, Gilles is the best rider all round. He's doesn't have any areas he's struggling on. That's why he wins evey trial To compare kenny is stupid. Maybe his style is a bit more Mtb like but that's only because he rides Mtb loads as well as trials Name one thing kenny is better than gilles at ? And don't say kickers. Since Canada Gilles has worked on them and now one of the best.

after seeing a couple of topics on riding shoes i thought i would show you my la sportiva shoes which iv customed to improve them for trials i used the shoes from new for about 10 months until the sole worn out so iv taken about 15\20 mm of the the sole to give a bit more feeling when on the pedal and also taken the sole flat just a couple of things that improve and ALMOST perfert shoe
-
just an idea i had to fix the snapping 05 bodies even after grinding them, i have had 3-4 snap on even over the years josh helped me out and wrapped a couple in carbon for me and after a couple of months of testing out on my practice bike and a couple of crashes involving the lever its still working perfect im sure there are alot more people who tend to snap them over time than me so just give jaff a shout and they can sort you out for a small price. money well spent
-
Yes maybe but I have had 5 ten guide and the sole was worn out and the shoe was fine Same with la sportiva. Sole was gone but shoe was like new More to my point though is that there are so many branded trainers that would be perfect if only they had a grippy sole. Would still work out cheaper than many of the ribo and koxx shoes
-
Isnt the 610 one of the most popular chains out there? Just a guess here but you didn't snap it on a gap ?
-
Forget about who does what and what it looks like. Just get an Allen key and try a couple of different positions and decide what you like best. At the end of the day it's a compromise.
-
Some thing else to consider maybe when the sole wears out on them as they dont really have the most grip when you compare them to other approach shoes such as five ten and la sportiva Also some thing you can consider to do with may shoes, you can get a vibram sole of the stealth rubber sole put on. Process is to cut down the old sole and replace it with a supper grippy sole I think there are many shoes out there on the market that give good support and nice size sole but will really slippy soles. Which could be made into perfect riding shoes Also cheaper than buying most new shoes

Sorry not you host rider guy
-
This is the same guy who's telling every one about perfect techniques all the time Telling people how to side hop 50" when he can't do bar height. By the way I just made a 60" side hop f**king buzzing Ok sorry my bad, maybe next time. But can you make a new topic for it
