Oh boy your one lucky guy moving to that area by chance, some awsome riders and an awsome place to ride Lucky f**ker lol..
-
How kind indeed, not like you to be giving away free stuff I have told him he can keep the £5 extra it cost me to post it next day to him.
-
I have been a member on here long before you and I have sold alot of parts and never a complaint until now. I think that record speaks for its self
-
Please return the stem to me and I will return your money before you come on here slagging me off.
-
That's why we have tolerances
-
Nice try 10 out of 10 for effort Would work in theory, but it's a shame that the bore for the steerer tube inst square to the face you would place on the desk You have assumed that the bars are both straight and symmetrical First thing I learned in engineering NEVER A ASSUME mother of all f**k ups.
-
Yea that's it, think they went f**ked soon after, not a complaint by the way Just you must have a smooth finger action to get them to last that long.
-
I said not many people are stupid enough to buy a chocolate tea pot, as I don't think it would do the job for reasons I'm sure you can work out for yourself Didn't mention cranks, cranks are a pair which kinda gives away as your mr spelling and grammar
-
I know how it works I don't have beef, just want to make the public aware of the ethics or lack of. I normally used my own judgement when buying parts and in future I will keep that in mind when considering try all parts I havnt bought a product from tarty in years due to their increasing low standard of service I did how every buy from them in the start as their service was excellent, and what got them to where there are now. I got parts from cyclemart because of sponsorship and of course they got their parts from the uk retailers - tarty bikes
-
1.Like iv said, I contacted try all direct 2.try all have told you to send cyclemart a stem. But you havnt. 3.cyclemart didn't contact you because it's not worth the hassle. 4.you have no way to access the stem. By eye isn't good enough in this case just like its not good enough for the hub you made an assessment on.

Performance wise- excellent Long term reliability- none 6sets Longest lasted 3/4 months Back on 05 now
-
Personally I feel that you need to start off about 22/23 psi and go from there, considering your weight.but you really want to avoid going to low like 15 psi I know it might feel bouncy but it will actually hold you back in the long run. You will find it difficult to learn how to make the most of preload.

Not 100% sure if it was you who had a set on an echo control you sold ?
-
Yea must be, I'm sure echo would tell you they have been tested If Andrei is actually using these same cranks then that's a form of testing Iv never said any thing about the popularity of the sales Don't get your nickers in a twist
-
Don't worry cai, as mark says they havnt sold any other wonky ones so yours is probs just bent for some other reason. I can't see why I'm the 'bad' guy here again, all I wanted was a stem that wasn't wonky, not a big ask. The reason I didn't bother contacting tarty direct was because I knew this would happen as they clearly don't do replacements. But atleast the truth has come out and when they get some 'straightish' stems in the wil be sending one to cyclemart I will then get it framed, and put on my wall Don't think we have meet ?
-
Really? And your going to give my money back ?
-
It's clearly a defective part, not fit for the purpose intended. Just like a chocolate teapot it's no good to any one But not may people are stupid enough to buy one
-
Honesty is the best policy
-
Lol get your head out of his arse, I could have come on here months ago and slated tarty about that. But I didn't. When did you send cyclemart a stem then ? You didn't bother
-
Well that's a matter between yourselves and try all. Please accept my apology. How ever I am disappointed that after finding out about te problem you have not contacted any one who has bought one in effort to correct the problem. Can't see that 1/2mm at the bar end would matter and it might even be within the geometrical tolerance for the product but 15mm lower on one side from the other is to far out. Also can be a problem of some one had two bikes with same parts which actually were different. Not the action I would expect from the worlds largest trials shop.
-
Pardon ? Try all nor tarty bikes didnt know about them until I pointed that out. Infanct after contacting try all myself directly they then contacted to tarty bikes as my stems both come from them. Apparently they never got a reply from tarty. You will find that all of them are on the piss, some more than others, thus whey they tried to sell them off cheap Also if you happen to measure a so called 150x30 try all stem you will find its no where near. As they are held in a jig to be welded I would guess that the jig is the problem, as all of the stems I checked went the same direction. There is a born cnc stem which is states to be 150x30 http://www.trialshop.pl/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=870

Light bikes are fine as long as they have balance

Helicoils are fine if they are fitted correctly, the hole needs to be the correct size for the tap to achieve 100% thread depth. It's difficult to dril the correct size hole with a cordless drill for example. Althought if used in alloy they can be alot stronger than the original thread the fixing must be kept at the required preload to avoid damage and failure. So not reply the correct application for a pedal which is going to be removed now and again. Your much better off with a solid incert like the 'time cert' style which can be glued inplace. They are also better for a high tourque situation when the bolt or fixing will start to stretch which is when the Helicoil can fail. If you pedal can be pulled out the hole might be to large, in

IMO its up to the retailer to make the choice as to sell the product or not. After all the responsibility falls on them. Echo seem to have done their job of testing through Burton but there are many more factors that could have caused the failure. Material spec. Manufacturing process, wrong diamentions etc. And with out any more information it's impossible to say. Who knows maybe he dropped off 15ft

Any part forsale should still be fit for its purpose and last a reasonable amount of time.
