  1. Fair enough, but having a crazy amount of bite which is confidance building but then not backed up with hold when needed makes me afraid to go for stuff.Oh well I'm just off out to ride in the rain.
  2. Nice video but not Zhaoxuan zhao. I don't know who he is
  3. If any thing it's dropped in value with time and other newer products being released
  4. I never said there was any thing wrong with using Coust pads, but I commented on your claim that they are the best pad out there, if they are so great then even less reason to carry tar with you. And even less chance of that your brake might go shit for no reason. Personally I use tnn blues and after a tube change my brakes still work as required for my riding style. IMO to many riders expect an impossible amount of hold from their brake in situations such as a failed gap when the brake slipped. And then blame the brake for being shit for failing the gap. Maybe I just have much lower expectations of a working brake ?
  5. It will work, just may be annoying creaking sound
  6. Nice job mate lucky to have acces to the equipment. Only thing I can see that might cause a problem is the fit. Might be a bit slack and cause it to creak when you ride.
  7. No wonder you always carry tar if your runni g cousts.
  8. Possible but it won't work so good. Do a search as this topics come up many times
  9. Personally I think pads have improved alot over ther years, makes it easy to get your brake working perfectly good enough. Of you have to resort to using tar your doing something wrong.
  10. Sorry to hear that, should have milked your parents a bit more. It was only a joke though
  11. Glad I could help with the donation. Looks like a nice spec, students these days get way to many loans
  12. Yes I agree, it does depend how long you hold it on them. Once they star going dark/red I think that's about 550c Cherry red is about 800//900 for steel I put some on my rim years ago, around the time of monty brake spray. Worked abit to good lol
  13. It's perfectly possible to cast strong castings. All down to the material used.
  14. It's better than not riding I suppose, iv seen people with two different lengths who didn't know
  15. Do you mean you going to ride with two different length cranks ?
  16. Go for karbons if you can afford it, I think I have had them before greetings got his, and still going strong. Not bad considering trialtech lasted me less than 6 weeks before they cracked
  17. You would need to buy a new rear sprocket if your front freewheel? But by going up to the next higher gear it will make it feel maybe to light for you. As its a bigger jump If your on mod stick to them for a while and see how you get on. Mod then 20" and stock is classed at 26" wheels
  18. Raw it's lighter. And it won't cost alot
  19. It will change the amount of pedal rotations you can get in from a given distance to and object. Depending if you ride mod or stock really. If its a mod you will be ok, shorters cranks are actually better than longer cranks. Yes longer gives more leverage but your legs have to travel further, and also faster when it comes to a run up. Are you mod or stock ?
  20. I know it was a problem, but not sure if they ever resolved that. Actually since I have gone carbon I havnt really taken notice of any developments regarding alloy forks
  21. Ah right, thought so but I didn't want to insult you. Hooks are hard to learn but once you get them easy as any move. If your hitting the down tube try a bigger wall, one where you can't get up to bash at least. Actually easyer
  22. It looks kool, reminds me of an old neon frame, but what strange shaps are you trying to Hook?
  23. From the pictures iv seen on here that bike looks great, and the welds look nice and neat, I can tell what the penetrations like from the pictures but I'd make and educated guess that it's going to last. But yea it's a bit silly just to assum that just because it's a cheap copy from china, 'copy' ? Just shows the mark up on a £700 frame
  24. I have never actually Owned either of them but I have rode bikes with both, if they tnn forks are what prattley had. ? Both are pretty stiff but I'm used to carbons now but I have seen a couple of snapped spade forks. Personally I would go for the tnn's
  25. No way they are fake. The ones pictured are real. Any form of forging tooling is to expensive just to start knocking out 'fake' cranks. Can you get an English version of that site ?
