  1. So by changing bar position changes the applied force on the bar, lol The width is the only thing that can change the amount of force Shouldn't you have done one of your work done equations. Hannes Herman runs his bars in what you lot on here would class as normal and he snapped a pair pretty quickly. I'd be 90% sure that they have been made in a different factory why a shit quality control. And have they changed the process ? Don't the leave the internal bladder in the middle now ? That might explain why they got heavier, iv never seem the inside of the older ones so I can't tell you. If they are made in the same factory as the rockman forks I wouldn't be surprised they all snapp.
  2. Sorry I'm not as good as you joe. Run it in why don't you
  3. Think I gave up on that to front, grass was wet and my front tyre was slick. Your my hero joe. Does getting it to rear count ? Sorry about that, next ones going to better I hope
  4. I used it on some carbon forks before about a year ago or more, worked fine. I just cleaned it off after Forks are still going some where I believe
  5. Maybe get a sharpe blade and carefully remove he pain to see what's under ? Maybe try some die prenitrant (spelling) You spay it on then wipe it off then you spray on the reactor and if there is a crack it will show up when then both come into contact.
  6. Yea that's annoying, the raw clips didn't have that! Some thing went wrong when I edited them. It's turned out like that. No idea what setting I need to change to get them back either. Urm yea suppose so there are plenty who run them narrower than mine. I find it's nice. Personal preference I suppose
  7. Thanks, just not my best riding. Actually done sOme sweet lines at barrow that day that I was chuffed with as they were some of my best lines iv progressed to. Typical I didn't film any. Got the camera out at the end of the day there really.
  8. No wonder with your smooth rims.
  9. i want to go brake less now... is there a kicker at 3.40 ?
  10. I think you have just been lucky, you think the later ones are stronger ?
  11. i have used them all 1. if moneys no worry Racing line full lever 2.buy a used 05 and a racing line body and build a complete lever from it, same as 05 but stronger as they are weak 3.buy a used 05 and fit it on 4 think about the 3 options again and pick one
  12. thanks very much, yea fine now. just a shin dig.. good days riding. shame i couldnt capture all of it on camera
  13. He's lost out on a fair chunk or his income, I know if work didn't pay me I'd more that pissed off. And I expect you would be too?
  14. Nothing amazing but thought it was a shame to waste these so I stuck them together quickly. Not sure why but it's cut off a bit around the frame do few missing head shots... Any way enjoy https://vimeo.com/77361703
  15. Fair enough you base your choices on looks and maybe fashion. That's totally your choice, I personally much rather just grind my rim ever now and then, months rather than weeks and rep the benifits, maybe just cycling across some damp grass can be enough to spoil brakes on a smooth rim, you don't have to be hard core storm conditions!
  16. Get the maching rockman rear hub flanges are much wider, also not sure about rims, the tryall/ rockman hole rims are far better, plus they don't have angled side walls. Spokes I'd got for dt
  17. Heading down this afternoon if any locals are wanting to pop along, will be there most of the day
  18. That's what stans one are, they are just getting sold with a hell of a mark up here in the uk. I always use park tool Allen keys as they tend to be slightly bigger as in 5mm will be more or less 4.95/5mm other high quality tool for different trades such as auto mechanics tend to use the -.1mm tolerances so they normally are about 4.9mm/4.95 mm but generally all iv checked where -.1mm 4.9mm, 5.9mm etc which makes it easy to round the heads Iv never had a problem with most but I have had the head snapp off a trialtech one that was fairly old. Good fit with the Allen key though.
  19. Black chilli is the softest compound that particular tyre come in. It's not a certain compound. For example a black chilli mountain king isn't as soft as a black chilli der kaiser. That's just what conti label them as.
  20. Nice riding, that stem looks a bit strange but looks like its working
  21. all of those pads should work well with that rim, maybe the rim material is the problem but its impossible to say with out seeing it
  22. You washed the rim with hot water and fairy ? It's either rim or pads then, hard to tell without seeing it
