trouble is, you cant sand welds, or indeed in the corners. wire brush (on a drill) is the best home way, but the BEST way of all is shot blasting, perfect! make sure u use a fine, easy grade of sand and its done slowly, most people just blast until its rougher than a bears behind, Not good!
