Both vids are from 2008. Front Flip down stairs A bloody good try The second vid might not exactly be sucessful but you get the idea that people have been doing/attempting them for quite a while. my point was that it is difficult to truely push the boundaries of what is possible when you are getting your influences from so many different riding styles. Do you not think the guys that are really pushing the boundarys are the ones who focus more on one style of riding and dedicate themselves to it? such as this double front flip

Not to take anything away from Danny as i think this vid is brilliant but i'm not sure he is pushing the riding envolope quite as far as people imagine. let me explain........ Now, the front flip drop thing has been done by quite a few other riders already. I'm sure Sam pilgrim and Scotty Cranmer to name a couple have been doing them for quite a while now. Dont get me wrong his riding is very impressive and he is probably one of the most rounded riders in the world today but for that very reason its hard to push the envolope when you are an extremely talented jack of all trades but not quite a master of any one particular. on the other hand I guess you could say he is a pioneer in the sense he is the first rider to bring all the different aspects of trials, BMX and Freeride together? I guess this is a rather pointless post but just wondering what peoples think about it?

Love the music, love the shots, love the locations, love the riding. Brilliant!!! With regards to the panning shots, I really like them, they showcase the backdrops for the riding brillantly. I do think they are being slightly over done now in biking vids in general (just watch any VOD on Pinkbike and you will know what I mean) but in this case they just worked really well. Good work Danny and Dave! On the slightly annoying side thread I have a feeling (this maybe completely wrong) that many of the "Danny Mac isn't trials" supporters are maybe from the younger generation of riders who started riding on seatless bikes with long wheel bases and high bb's and do not fully appricate the origins of trials riding and how it has developed over the years. which is completely understandable If you have only ever watched vids from the current crop of top trials riders how would you know any differrent.....? On the Flip side.... I think for many of the older guys on this forum who started riding back in the day on mountain bikes with the seat lowered and the toe clips taken off find its easier to appricate and relate the moves Danny is doing as trials riding. Back in the day we would spend hours learning G-turns, Switsland squeekers, backwards nose wheelies, 360 spins and drop offs, mimicing Jeff Lenosky, Libor Karas, Ryan Leech, JJ Gregorvic, Edd Tounge, Chris akrigg and Petr Kraus from old VHS copies of Reed Merchats finest work. (If you are too young to know what a VHS is, ask your Dad). I think Danny's riding is a evolution of the old school!! and I find it fantastic to watch and really apprciate the time and effort that when into making this film for everyone to enjoy!

I just built it up tonight, I won the frame on Ebay for £14.50 + £12 postage. Rides lovely! just gonna take a bit of getting use to. sorry for the poor quality photo, was taken with an Iphone under poor light.

Buy the same token though a Inspired four play is flawed when it comes to dirt jumping or thrashing down a trail. I think to say the DMR'esk bikes are outclasses is a little unfair.
-
NIce one Dan, where is that? you up for a ride at the weekend?
-
Yeah same guy i'm out from retirement lol.
-
Its on the way. £26.50 deivered!!

Cheers Tom, was good to get out on the bike, just frustrating not being able to ride anywhere near to the standard or consistancy i use to, felt super sketchy. Still i'm sure it will come back after a few rides.

I remember that bike show. I'd seen a few of his vids before the show on Biketrials.com, those were the days!! downloading videos over night on a 56k modem:-) He was way ahead of the times interms of big side hops and gap jumps, no one could get close to his level.

"song was a tune aswell." I was just wondering what is left of the song now it is no longer a tune? I guess its just lyrics?

Unfortuneatly Springer was already booked up for the trashiest trailor of the year awards and unable to attend otherwise he would have been right at the top of the list.

<cue Jeremy Kyle enter stage left> "Can we have a drum roll please............................ The prize for the most pointless and gay thread of 2009.......goes to............."Calling Damon, Cls, Tunni..." This tread literally captured the hearts, minds and imaginations of every Gimp on the trials forum! Well done Nateral/TGS/street/what ever the fcuk you want to be called community you truely are the biggest set of bitches on the planet!!" <cue Jeremy Kyle leave stage right>

Ok I know its not trials but this so good I thought I would put a link up so everyone on here could enjoy. http://www.pinkbike.com/video/60212/ This guy just makes anyone who has ever ridden a bike look rubbish. Big up the V dub too!! )
