  1. £432 fully comp, all obvious and legal mods declared. Only thing that hasn't been declared is the poly bushes and decat, obviously because the decat is illegal and the poly bushes are a direct replacement and they weren't interested in them.
  2. I have just bought it online from another company for £53 less than their online quote. f**k em.
  3. Insurance companies are such f**king chunder monkeys. Last year we set up a multi car insurance for Lou and I on our cars. I was told that because our renewals were three months apart I would continue to pay my insurance at its current premium, then at renewal I would pay a 3 month pro rata payment to bring our two renewals in line. I was told that at that point my insurance would be no more than my standard single car renewal quote but a multi car discount may apply and it may be cheaper. For signing up to this Lou got a discount for her year. Got my renewal notice for my single car policy through, dropped by £300 odd. Wahey I thought. I did a quick online quote with the same company and it was a further £111 cheaper. Double whoopeee. Phoned them up, said I had recieved my renewal through however I had an online quote from them which is significantlt cheaper so if they could honour that I would ok the renewal. I was them told that I was contractually obliged to take out a multi car policy so my single car policy quotation was null and void. Further to that I was told that my personal renewal for my half of the multi car was over £500 for three months and that it would then drop (flol) to £114 per month for the year. Over double my single car renewal! Kicked off and said I wanted to withdraw from the multi car and set up two individual policies as it was clearly a rip off and they are now charging Lou over £100 in lieu of a discount given at the start of her policy. Why the f**k should she or I pay extra because they have been unable to keep up their end of the deal some how?! They then told me that my current single car renewal would be £98 more than the posted renewal I got through the post. So I weighed the options up, spoke to a customer care manager who didn't speak a word of coherent English. Cancelled my insurance and had them cut me off at renewal date. Phoned up ten minutes later, spoke to new business rather than renewals and got a quote £11 more expensive than the online quote. What.the.f**k.
  4. Family car drivers; Flol. Diiiiickhead.
  5. I want an Integra sooooooooo bad.
  6. They are awesome. A totally must have mod on our cars. Our roofs don't have guttering at all, so they just funnel the rain into the windows when they are open. Having the deflectors on allows that rain to buffer off onto the door. Also having the slight through flow of the window open makes a big difference. No hate here.
  7. Well it could get it through the MOT and then you have no rush to fix it?
  8. Or post it in any other section and hear you moaning constantly.
  9. Can of coke. Can of coke. Can of coke. Can of coke. Can of coke. Can of coke.
  10. I might just cut the existing pipe off an inch and then press it onto the check valve and secure it with a zip tie. Can't be f**ked to spend money actually having servo assistance. I did fail to stop at a cross road this morning when it failed though, nearly killed a child. Stupid fanny decided it was safe to cross the road just because the lights said she could without looking first, that'll teach her.
  11. You didn't reply to my whatsapp, do you know the size of the pipe?
  12. Just ruined a load of Alabama Slammers with my left over Disarono and some some Little Bird gin. f**ked by 8:30. WOOOOOOOOOOO
  13. I couldn't agree more; you c*nt. I can't find a servo pipe upgrade kit anywhere, pointers? Xxxx
  14. Shit image, most are driven by paedophiles. And nobody wants that.
  15. Noooo no no no no. Basically. I'd request a thread deletion, I feel many storms of shite may or may not come your way. A 1.2 Clio with an induction kit inherently makes you a massive C. Incase you weren't aware. All of the above is correct, you will lose torque and mpg as well as power from heat soak.
  16. Who's? Mine and Phils? Mine 123k, Phils 130k.
  17. Hang on. I thought you had meth?
  18. Nor does a TQS with a monster meth tank and a boot the size of a shoe box
  19. I cannot stress enough how much better my life has been since not being on Facebook. Total bliss...
  20. Yup, IC is miles out. Because when I bought the joiners for it I managed to order two in different lengths which pulled it out. Notice the right hand side silicone is thinner. Phils place used to be a part of the window makers nextdoor I think. It's a lot bigger than it looks, today we managed a diesel Passat estate, an A3 and an S3 with good space to spare. Phil was lucky because he has a huge customer base and loads of friends wanting work, what's great is that all this has cost him so far is the rent on the unit which is unbelievably cheap, his trade insurance and his public liability insurance. Oh and he bought a new trolley jack. He hasn't borrowed a penny to set it up, and all in it has cost him less than a grand to get set up. Do it George!
  21. A good day indeed Went to Phils new workshop, now that he is a self employed VAG specialist he has got a proper unit to work out of I started by ripping my front bumper off, flatting it down and getting it ready for paint. Then I cleaned Ron Then Russ turned up (slowcoach) and Phil beaded his intercooler pipes after an unfortunate blowing off incident (oooo errr) Phil was doing a full service on a Passat whilst Russ put his custom intercooler back together. I offered my usual help and advise...(read, ripped his car to pieces and smoked 20 fags in two hours) I cleaned up the Passat for the customer and then Phil dropped it back, so I had a bit of time and space to have a play with my car. I'm not going to lie, I felt like I had died and gone to heaven! And with it's name badge The paint on the front bumper reacted to the lacquer and I had to wet sand it back and it was all a waste of time. HOWEVER I did polish the car to death, seal it, wax it and glaze it. Phil and I lined our gaymobiles up and took some pictures of his empire. Wonky exhaust You can see the crazing in the front bumper here
  22. That's because of the eureka effect I described earlier
  23. Umm... Dyslexia is usually visible as a numeric disorder or a restraint in the ability to read fluidly, the rest of the time it is an excuse. It has very little to do with the way things are typed or written as the process of typing each letter allows the brain to slow down and form the words correctly. Dyslexia is so much more than somebody who can't read or write correctly, if you were actually dyslexic you would have the same word recall issues when speaking. Hardly anybody I have ever met has actually been told by a professional that they are dyslexic, most have just given themselves the label to excuse some sort of learning issue.
  24. Basically what JD said. The eureka effect is to do with memory recollection and the problem solving the brain does. For those who don't know what it means if I basically said "The haystack was important because the cloth ripped." Your brain would try to fill in the missing word and make sense of the sentence. After letting your brain exhaust all options if I introduced the key word "parachute" then your brain would recollect the sentence much more readily due to the fulfilment of the problem solving. It is the presentation of the missing item/attribute/context which allows the brain to acknowledge the answers/solution/whatever. How that comes into a sentence within the context it is used I don't know, the Aha! Effect much better fits the bill I think.
