  1. Sweet. I will text you to sort the shit out. I am going to Rockingham next month for training so could pick them up.
  2. Downpipe and cats would be awesome, what sort of payment would you like? Crafty edit; I have them stored in my wank bank.
  3. Yes I am indeed. - On the subject of inadequacies I'm upgrading from a minute K03 to a tiny K04. Have you got any stock K04 bits left over? Manifold, downpipe etc? How did your mates car get on with its mapping? xxx
  4. What you said. I also never said it was the fastest car in the world ever, I just told lots of people it was faster than theirs. Which it is. Have you done anything to the M5 recently JD? And are you going to SOS next Friday Robin? Are you still gay Seamons?
  5. I'd give your M5 a good run for its money
  6. Evvvvvvvveryone will LOL. But if you honestly want everything you have said above; buy an A3 1.8t. In my experience with them, and Prawns, and Seamons and many others on this forum the Mk4 VAG chassis and 1.8t engine is an excellent introduction into modern real world tuning. Cheap to insure for a new driver, super cheap to modify and performance to price immeasurably better than any NA engine. Also vry cheap to buy.
  7. A lad I work with has just out a B16B in his EK, was certain it was the fastest thing in the world ever. He put it on a dyno on Friday...156bhp, 109lbft. Poor lad, he's heart broken.
  8. Soul eveeery time. I used one in place of my xc bike for a month or so whilst my Lefty was rebuilt, loved it.
  9. They used to be based near my home, so I used to get to see it fly past for most airshows when I was a kid. Such a beautiful thing; did anyone see the accidental take off of the Victor in 2009?
  10. The purpose of most spoilers isn't to provide downforce as such, generally speaking they aid the airflow over the vehicle and create less turbulence over the sharp rear end of the car. I take no credit for these words - Sports cars are most commonly seen with front and rear spoilers. Even though these vehicles typically have a more rigid chassis and a stiffer suspension to aid in high speed maneuverability, a spoiler can still be beneficial. This is because many vehicles have a fairly steep downward angle going from the rear edge of the roof down to the trunk or tail of the car which may cause air flow separation. The flow of air becomes turbulent and a low-pressure zone is created, increasing drag and instability (see Bernoulli effect). Adding a rear spoiler could be considered to make the air "see" a longer, gentler slope from the roof to the spoiler, which helps to delay flow separation and the higher pressure in front of the spoiler can help reduce the lift on the car by creating downforce. This may reduce drag in certain instances and will generally increase high speed stability due to the reduced rear lift. - In a racing application to provide more downforce a spoiler in the middle of the car would cause airflow which stopped the rear spoiler from being active. Because the air would pass over it. A rear spoiler adds downforce to the rear of the car adding an aerodynamic grip advantage. Having a more central downforce isn't as much of a benefit as rear downforce.
  11. The rear axle is totally fixed on out cars; so to have an effect on the vehicles track you would need some serious damage. The garage that did the tracking should have asked why you wanted the tracking done, if you had any known faults.

  13. Sticking brake caliper. Jack the car up one wheel at a time and spin each nearside wheel. It is probably the rear.
  14. VW...you could try TPS but usually they aren't far off the cost straight from VW.
  15. No, I wouldn't have bought up or made a point of something so utterly obvious. But as you say, twats will be twats.
  16. Oh, shit. Sorry, I thought you were taking the piss? Are you? I'm not sure. The garden umbrella has really tickled me, I'm not sure if you're serious or not.
  17. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHa I am ACTUALLY LOLing so f**king loud. Oh Alex.
  18. Scrap value Danny. A friend of mine gets cars like that for free left right and centre, he has broken 4 MX5's this year and hasnt spent a penny on any of them. Only one came in on a trailer.

Vettels purple after 25+laps of tire management was incredible. As was his message to the team. A good race, I really enjoyed it.

  22. I never claimed on the 205, po po came out, emergency services etc but I paid for recovery and damage to council property out of my own pocket. Scrapped the car and transferred the insurance to my 100e. Council never claimed because I paid expenses and police had no interest at all; young lad in a 205 GTI, very wet road which had recently been refurbished and wasn't signed, off duty police officer as a witness who stated I wasn't speeding or racing. Was very very lucky. I don't need to declare the map Seamons, I can literally do whatever I want up to 250hp. I have sent them a copy of the dyno sheet so everything is recorded. Having larger brakes, rear anti roll bar and coilovers actually gave a small discount. The guy on the phone said that their logic was that coilovers made the car handle better, and if it was lowered more than 60mm the car would be slower and constantly avoiding pot holes anyway. I can't believe I didn't deal with them last year.
  23. Because I don't need to, I am insured to drive my vehicle up to a bhp of 250 regardless of spec as long as I don't use semi slick tires, strip it or have race livery. They ask for a list of mods as an advisory if ever a claim is made and so they can make sure your power declaration is realistic. I could go out tomorrow and fully skin my car in carbon and technically still be insured and not need to declare it, as long as I don't up the power over 250. Having quoted a 3" downpipe and 2.5" exhaust the cat will be included in that section because it is formed into the downpipe. Downpipe is declared, decat is part of it. I just haven't listed a decat on my list of modifications. I think Robin has the same policy with the same company.
  24. Even better, I was misguided slightly. It isn't illegal to drive a car without a cat when it should have one, laws have changed now but there is a Vehicle Defect Rectification Scheme which would require me to refit and reproduce an MOT if checked.
  25. Hahahahahahaha you're such a total fanny. All I haven't declared is something which has been technically covered by down pipe and full exhaust. The way my new insurance company work is they set a BHP limit and base your premium on that, any supporting modifications are covered but they don't allow stripping, certain tyres or race livery. So get back in your shit car driving box and come back with some insults when you know what you are talking about.
