Super gay post Back in the day Lous baby A3 wanted to be like Prawns so badly, it looked up to it. Before Prawn decided to build a track car I made numerous offers to buy his car whilst it was unused and neglected for months. In the end he wouldn't sell it to me. So I set about building a Team Prawn Racing replica. Four years ago Prawn used to give me his car for the day once a week and I would give him whatever shed I was driving and clean the **** out of his A3. After I was done I would take it up to Farley Mount and take pictures to show him what I had done. It was quite cool. When I went home last month I took my car up to Farley, to the spot where I used to take Prawns car after I had drooled over it. I took some pictures, for old time sake. And the big brother. Cool huh.

Correct. Back in the day I was a reach into my pocket away from buying an absolutely immaculate Volvo 340 with a very well built F7P engine, light strip and Subaru buckets, side exit exhaust, Weller steels and a large hit with the lowering stick off Andy Ponting. Drove all the way to his place, went for a hoon and totally fell in love with it. Then on the way home it stalled where he had fitted a bike brake cable as a make shift throttle cable. Being young and stupid I refused to buy the car and lost faith in it, even though AP agreed to fit a proper cable. Rgretted it ever since I only drove it maybe half a hour or so, but it was one of the most engaging and entertaining cars I have ever driven.

I don't think I have ever seen a vehicle which I have wanted to purchase more than this one. http://www.driftworks.com/forum/drift-cars-sale-private-sales/203198-1986-volvo-360-2-3-turbo-converted-11-months-mot-lots-spec-glasgow-2000-a.html If I had a justifiable £2000 in my bank, I would currently be on my way to Glasgow to put my name on that mother f**kers log book.

Autoglym one is very good, make sure you wear gloves when you use it or your skin will crack. (iif you are old like me)

I really like him. He talks about things which as the type of petrol head I am are very easy to relate to. He drives a hugely diverse range of vehicles. He puts things across in easy to understand and literate sentences. Rather than the ramblings you get from most motoring commentators. I think he is great, and I really enjoy his presenting style.

Marty and I have an agreement, if I do the Brembos, fix the gearbox and fit a new front bumper (already done) he pays me more. And I get to sell the car as a more complete package, to a friend as something they can be proud of.
-
True story by the way.
-
I once stretched one over my flaccid penis and had a bath, played with it like the Loch Ness monster using a bottle of Lòreal Kids as a submarine. Was f**king epic.
-
You shouldn't even need the resistors to be fair. Bring a skinny pair of fingers and a magnet on a stick, because you'll lose the bolts Yeah, those Brembos are mine when Phil doesn't pay for them. Not that he knows that yet, but I know it's coming.
-
That is the reason for watching the space under my wheels... If Phil won't pay for them then I will and I can have them.
-
Watch this space haha...:/

Yeah, comedy ***. Chassis wise Ron is TOTALLY standard other than a third hand set of coilovers....Stock bushes, roll bars, 288brakes, everything is stock 120k old. The tires are all different makes, the only branded tire is the drivers front which is a P6000. It does not go round corners at all, but f**k me does it get out of then in an amazing style. Proper four wheel drift with the ESP off.

Another smalllll update. My friend who is buying the car is having insurance pay out issues, and may well be delayed. So I am keeping hold of it until his pay out comes through, and we have agreed anything I spend on it in the run up to him taking it we will sort out when he picks it up. And if he doesn't then hey, I was going to be doing it anyway. Went to Phils, had a proper hoon at ridiculously legal speeds. I can confirm that in the straights Ron does have a minor speed advantage, in the corners though my agility and turn it makes up for it. Until the wheels light up on corner exit... This will please a lot of people... I now have the fastest colour callipers. The front is now 15mm ish lower. After nearly three years, the wheels are still immaculate as the day there were fitted A couple of bits of tar on this one, but all came out beautifully with som Iron X. The beasts - I boiled my brake and PAS fluid this morning, so a change will be due soon. Also a Brembo upgrade needs to happen on the cheap, if anybody knows of anything. Can only really afford £350 ish, don't mind a cosmetic refurb. A picture I took the other night before murdering an E46 M3 with a couple of his mates in the car, served him right for trying to race me

Deal is done on my A3, picking it up whenever the new owners insurance pays out. I spoke to my dad about the Pop and he isn't ready to let it go just yet, he wants to keep it until his Magnette is done which is fine by me. I would rather my pride and joy was safely in his care than being hacked up by Phil and I. So the hunt is on, although I am in no rush at all. Currently I am enjoying the thought of a Dolomite Sprint, I love them.

This - I have had it since I was 11. It is very easy nd very popular to make them like this - http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=gPGj8bMufUc Literally s simple as buying a Sierra, swapping the engine mounts, drilling three holes in the strut tower, swapping the legs and hubs with the brakes in tact, swapping the back axel for a Ford Anglia one and taking half a foot out of the prop. People have done the whole conversion from 11bhp side valve to 150bhp OHC power in a day.

Sr20 ford pop sounds nuts! Basically Phil and I are bored of A3's, both of ours are up for sale and we want a proper project to sink our teeth into over the summer. Phil has suggested he put me on his trade insurance and I use the money from the Audi to buy and sell classic/radical cars from half of the parking spaces outside of his unit. Which would make me very happy and basically be a piece of piss for me. My idea was that I blow it all on the Pop, which he also likes. His idea was that I buy a Mk2 and a 1.8t and he does the swap, then we sell it for a monster profit. Then follow that up with a 1.8t Mk3 and wash rinse and repeat doing engine conversions into VAG cars and then marketing them. But the problem there is the legality of the log books, mots and all that shit. Basically, we just want to get busy.

Tarty and Robin, MX5 engine in my Ford Pop. Great idea? Phil is more than up for the work, and I am up for selling the Audi to make it happen. Mutual friend has offered a great price for the A3. I want to do it haha.
-
Scrap/sell those K04 bits Seamons. Total change of plans
-
Valid point from Robin there, you rebuilt yours after 200k Prawn.... Flol, 02J is so much better than 02M and everyone knows it. Text will be coming your way tomorrow George, but to let you know I have been offered a Relentless manifold and DP for £200 off Marty so not so sure now. Will 100% tomorrow.
-
Yeah? Cupra isn't an A3, A3's are a lot cheaper due to the less sporty image. Go do a quote on an A3, use my reg number. I will text you tomorrow night once I have spoken to Phil. I never piss about with money, you know that Seamons.
-
Did you get a quote from Bill? Bit late now to be fair, his prices are good though. He once called me a liar and said my car wasn't 245bh with its spec. Wasn't having that but stayed reserved because of who he was and how good he is to know.
-
You got them from Issam? I hate that pretentious willy. No funds until the 25th, wiped out. Just spent a bucket load.
-
Are you f**king mad?! What rods did you buy? £1000? Phil put rods in his and had the turbo ported for £700.
