Uniroyal rainsport 2 or T1R's.

Went to a local classic car meet this morning, took some pictures of anything that interested me. If you want to know more details about any of the cars just ask. Took my Ford Pop. First time I've driven it in 3 years, and dad hasn't washed it for 3 years either

A3's blud! What a productive afternoon! I'll let Prawn do the technical bits, but basically we did some data logging for safety and research and then went to the wash bays to sort the beast out. The new setup feels astounding, Prawn wasn't sure but I can 100% confirm that it does feel a lot better than the old hybrid. And it's not even mapped yet Then we took some pictures :$ Skinny Prawn! One for Rainbird -

Right. Yesterday was radical. Up super early at half 6, quickly took the car to the jetwash and then headed over to PrawnBob's. So my car looked like this. Biggest problem with going places "with people" is there is only one cup holder, so I've fixed that by installing a £500 set of seats haha. From there we went cross country to Goodwood, via me mildly beaching my car and grinding the gearbox casing along the middle of the road for quite a while. No pictures here, I was too busy pooping myself. Got to Goodwood for a private forums track day, and hooooooly shit it was one of the nicest atmosphere's I've ever felt at any motoring event. Literally just felt like a group of friends out enjoying their vehicles. Far classier and enjoyable to socialize with than your usual track muppet. This is exactly the type of thing I want to be doing. Prawn was incredibly highly spoken of by everybody we met, that said none of them recognised him despite having a 10 minute conversation with somebody and talking about how awesome Prawn is he finished his conversation with Prawn by saying "yeah, shame he isn't here today. I've have loved to see his car on track". Embarrassing much! He has lost 5 stone though to be fair. The photographer for the day hadn't showed up So I got myself setup and made a bit of a hash of it, but got some good pictures. Hopefully these pictures will show the type of car, and the type of owner at this meeting - Prawn introduced me to the owner of this car - Got on very very well with him and his wife, so Prawn and I blagged a couple of sessions with him. He's a good driver and his car is lovely, I don't know the specifics but it is an ABF Mk2 with a ported and polished head and a very well sorted suspension setup. It also has a beautiful internal rod linkage with a raised shift tower. Almost everything on the car is hand fabricated very well. Got a couple of pictures from track, as I say most were poop due to bringing the wrong lens. Genuine 309 Goodwood giving it the beans at Goodwood 7 One of the best moments of the day was seeing these two getting a bit loose for a couple of laps. A couple of videos. So that was that! Andy P turned up with his lovely lady, and we had a good catch up. Then Prawn and I went on a secret mission to pick up his car, which I don't think he has posted anything on here about yet. So I won't steal his almighty thunder. On the way back. And now that I'm back I need to get my car ready for the next track outing. Hopefully pick up a set of discs and pads off Tic today to keep me safe for a while, then it's onto the credit card haha

Oh my god I am such a fanny sometimes. How did I even write such a post so well whilst steaming drunk? It is what probably true though haha I am going to make a cool post once I have woken up to make up for it.

That's what I mean though. I'd rather blitz a 600 around; every day. Because it's exciting, fast and quite importantly in this argument very cheap. I've got no problem with economy drivers (other than wishing they would use the money they're saving to buy their own "slow c**ts" lane), I just dislike it when people think they are above you because they are so super clever and have such an incredibly fuel efficient car...Which cost them 10K more than my car and saves them about £1000 a year over my car and will be sold on in 5 years anyway. And I just can't comprehend how anybody could be dull enough to give up motoring enjoyment and not take any interest or pride in their vehicle. Whatever their chosen mode of transport is, surely you'd always want it to be the best you could get.
-
When you've got a GENUINELY fast car you don't drive it fast; because you don't need to. So your priorities are with your kids and family; great. I trust you put as much care, love and attention into your chosen priority as I do with mine. My priorities, and most petrolheads priorities lie with their cars. And as such I find the entire concept of having a largely unnecessary luxury like a car and then having to "economise" to maintain it utterly retarded and generally unsafe. Fitting ditch finders goes in line with having a "cheap to run" car, as well as cheaper pattern parts which aren't up to OEM standards, insuring your car third party only, not having your vehicle regularly serviced etc. If you REALLY wanted to save money, you could have an old Fiesta. Why do you need a 5/6K car if it is just a mode of transport? I have to deal with people on a DAILY basis who justify spending 10K+ on a brand new car because their old car costs them too much to run. And it just doesn't make any sense at all. Logic. Defied.

If you need to economise your driving then you're too poor to not use public transport. Seeing as you're already dead inside why not go the whole hog and catch the bus? Think I'm being a snob? You probably do or are one of the below; Drive a diesel. Use public transport. Ride a scooter/moped/motorbike. Are a student and as such should be saving money for coke and hookers, and will be using public transport anyway whilst blagging your mums car. You deserve to die. Do over 15,000 miles per year. Are a company car driver. Go green laning. Use your vehicle for utility purposes due to your business. Are a hobo and live in a Transit. I'm not saying the above because I think you're a fanny, I'm saying the above because it's blatantly the truth. Given the above inclusions of cause, it's not a blanket statement however there are certain times of wet willy who get semi's over "ecodriving" and seem to think it makes sense in their selfish skullf**ked brains for them to drive at a frankly dangerous speed whilst pissing off all other road users who are either; Busier than them. More exciting than them. Aren't about to die like them. Enjoying driving their car, unlike them. Richer than them, and as such not bothered about 4mpg. Actually safer and better drivers than them with more spacial, social and safety awareness than them. These sorts of people are generally total arse clowns. And we all know EXACTLY the sort of person I mean.

^^^THAT was epic. It doesn't matter if you're in a car, on a motorbike, running or on a hovercraft. When you see two competitors working so hard like that it's no wonder the human race is so competitive, winning like that is f**king awesome.

Yup. Lou and I are done, just grew apart. Pretty sad really, but it hasn't come as a shock to anyone yet. No huge falling out, just decided we weren't happy how we were.

Well! 4 years, 4 house moves, 4 jobs, one whirlwind relationship and many great friends later I'm back in Basingstoke with my family! Which means I have a drive-way again! Spent literally ALL day, (7:30 until now) giving the Audi the visual love and attention it's lacked for so long. Today it has been...Iron-X'd, clayed, wheels deionised, engine bay cleaned, interior steam cleaned and shampoo'd, leathers cleaned and treated, interior glass cleaned, all interior plastics blacked and protected, fixed the boost gauge, refitted the radio, stripped and heat gunned all the exterior plastics then treated them, paintwork polished, black hole'd and sealed, wheels waxed, tyres treated, engine bay treated...literally everything. As such, it looks radical to the power of sick. Cannot wait to meet up with Prawn and show him all my handy work, as well as get back to my old antics.

I BELIEVE it is the GPS antenna cable for an RNSD satnav. Certainly QN aerial though.

The Hannah Smith that was on this forum who looked very similar and had a history of mental health issues.

It's a factory fit towing loom. My E36 had EXACTLY the same cable.

Surely this isn't one and the same? http://news.sky.com/story/1124978/suicide-teen-dad-calls-on-pm-to-tackle-trolls

They will be super-super-super-super-super cheap through specialist insurers. - I did NVQ 1,2 and 3 in Motor Vehicle Tech and an additional study in Motorsport Technology. Please don't be one of the useless thunder f**ks that ends up dicking around and wasting everyones time, the hardest thing I found at college was not getting drawn into all the dicking about and remembering I was there to learn. Not be a lad... Hope you enjoy it

Water ingress in the ECU's is a common problem with Passats isn't it?

LOL at how much CR Turbos have rattled my cage. http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/283721-best-turbo-upgrade-octavia-vrs/#entry3364302 Bunch of imbeciles.

Yep; for a phone it is literally incredible. Beats by Dre with speakers on the front of the phone. On a slightly related note. What's brown and rhymes with Snoop?

For me, this is the ultimate sounding car. Any other "super car" or "race car" is just a cheap imitation compared to an F40. I could quite happily listen to one all day every day.
