  1. I changed my upper steering column bearing the other day and fitted a passenger seat. Car feels slow with passengers, I'm taking it out again.
  2. I miss this. Seriously considering opting out of the company car scheme, selling the Golf and having an E46 M3 to do it all.

    But smoking is my friend?
  4. Got a text this morning saying the Golf was good to roll. An hour later this thing pulls up outside my house. I've missed this thing SO much. I got my boost face on! Went for a drive. Picked up some C spanners. Got a bit excited about my baby being home. Shiny. Levelled the suspension off. Gareth has shaved the subframe. He relocated the front engine mount bolt hole. New cam belt. New tensioner and water pump. Engine mount spaced to stop it happening again. I'm so happy it's home, I love this car so much. I've felt lost not having it waiting for me at the end of the garden.
  5. It wasn't though. The roof was fitted slightly wonky, so it wasn't in the middle of the roof!
  6. Yes it was. It was a leaky, rattling, non working aftermarket fitted sliding glass roof. But obviously the internet knows my car better than I do
  7. Surely it has to be broken to be fixed?
  8. So. Gareth at ACE has been spending a bit of time getting to know my car. There are many things wrong with it. However, much to my delight I have confirmation that it has a plated diff in it. I don't mind spending lots of money on it now that I have "gained" a quite expensive gearbox that I didn't know I had.
  9. Want an M3. Golf's at ACE having lots of work done, feel weird not doing it myself.
  10. I think it's because Greg buys things regardless? - When this is launched - http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/fiat/500/91808/2016-fiat-500-facelift-unveiled-new-tech-and-updated-looks I'm going to buy an M3/911 turbo.
  11. Bedford in the Golf on Monday, will be interesting today the least.
  12. Sorry lads, I feel so bad for pulling out. I've won a holiday with work, I had to weigh up an all expenses paid week in Iceland driving rally cars or driving around a field for the day. I'm sure you'll understand. Seriously gutted to be missing out though
  13. Sorry lads, can't make it on the 7th. I'll be in Iceland driving rally cars...
  14. And discover yourself* *on no less than 30 people's cocks.
  15. The money side of it wasn't really on the radar as such, just sounding a few things out. I'm sure it will all be fine. What's the worst that can happen?
  16. I know it will be what it will be. It's 4 and a half hours each way and £99 return on the train, perfect I can still do all my office work whilst I'm commuting there. I finish at 4 on Saturdays now I'm a manager and I can have Monday as my day off to get back in the evening. I usually spend £100 a weekend driving the Golf, eating out and drinking beer. I'm sure it's doable. She's well up for coming down too, she's already booked flights for two weekends this month. So it's not a one way street.
  17. I think Newcastle is quite decent, I really enjoyed it when I was there. But yeah, that's the ideal.
  18. Not really an agony aunt post, more just general discussion. So let's run the scenario. You're me, you all know the sort of shit I've been through, really good friend of mine who I've known for a few years came with me to Estonia and it's the first time we've seen each other when we've both been single. Started looking at each other very differently. Been to see her a good few times, she's been to see me quite a lot too. We spent all of last weekend together, and it was amazing. We've both agreed "something" needs to happen. She's literally everything I'm looking for. Kicker. She lives 6 hours away in Newcastle.
  19. Do it. We having breakfast tomorrow?
  20. I swear the swear filter on TF is the most retarded thing in the world ever. There's me assuming it'll be edited out to say 'sponge' or something stupid like what, *** and stupid things like that. But it lets us say Paki. But seriously, it does look like an Asian has been sick on a plate.
