I get confused about how you have SO MANY problems Alex. Well I do kind of know why, the type of driving you do is not what the M3 was ever made for, and not what 90% of the parts you are buying were designed for. It's plain for all to see. M3's are for road and track, simples. Why don't you buy a Subaru or something designed for what you're looking to do? You are basically rallying a track car, and obviously it just isn't robust enough. Sorry if that is harsh, and I don't mean to kick you whilst you are down. But I don't want to not say it. I also don't want you to stop what you are doing, because I love it. Did you mean to make the most epic pun known to man when you said you were "shocked"? I know I look like a fanny right now. M sport is just a branding thing, mechanically they have stiffer lower suspension and standard cars came with a half leather half alcantara interior. Clubsports are lighter, have less sound deadening, alcantara steering wheel (most have been sold/robbed), special Clubsport style split rims, black window trims, fake carbon interior and quite cool is the red speedo needles. People "claim" the shift was different, I don't see it. I've driven CS and CI models, both with about 100k. Couldn't tell the difference. 10bhp more, 300rpm more, shorter final drive, negative front camber, stiffer front roll bar and apparently stiffer lower arm ball joints (doubt it). I SERIOUSLY looked at getting one, and to be honest I still really want one. Lightly stripped with some tidy buckets and a huge set of slicks...

Nope, great cars. Although, I know how hard it is to make a plan and stock to it. So I would urge you to only consider a 330CI Clubsport, as they won't ever drop much more than they are now. And may even go up. Club sports are MUCH MUCH MUCH nicer to drive than the stock E46 330. I gave up smoking, stopped drinking, started exercising more, reduced my hours at work, started letting my girlfriend do everything for me. Generally stopped being me. Just had a mini break down in the middle of the showroom because my heart felt like it was going to explode. Felt like my arms and face were on fire, I couldn't feel my heart beating at all and my vision went blurred. Lay on the sofa in the recovery position waiting. Blood pressure is up at heart attack critical status again. Need to see my doctor tomorrow for more blood tests. Last set came back totally clear. He thinks it's all stress and mental issues. So tomorrow he will want to ask me 20 million questions about how I feel, why I feel how I feel etc etc. f**king great. After about twenty minutes my BPM was able to get a reading, it was just showing errors every time I tried before. Must have been stupid high.

Usually it is the plug working loose/getting corrided that gives a fault. That should be fine to refit.
