I'm not really going spinning
-
Luke Rainbird. Guy Martin.
-
We've got to have it done by half 8; I've got a spinning class at 9! Ha.
-
f**k me you're a pair of miserable c**ts!

By race, I basically mean I'm building it in a rush. Apart from some logo's, I'm certain these are identical to 90% of harnesses I've used. The straps themselves are absolutely the same as every other harness I've ever used. The mounting points can be changed to more expensive snap-locks. The buckle itself seems fairly sturdy, in terms of testing I can't do anything until it's in the car. But they're certainly nicer than the fake Takata harnesses thousands of people run. I'm not fussed, I think snobbery about the unbrandedness of them isn't justified. We'll find out if I have a crash though
-
It'll be fine. George has them, what's the worst that can happen. I'd rather crash in cheap harnesses than a standard three point...

Uh huh. As previously shown, I clearly like a good bargain. As previously shown, I don't mind taking a punt on things. As previously shown, I'm building a race car. As previously shown, I've got some puppies to protect and their safety is paramount. So, I paid £45 for my harnesses. :thumb::fishing::chin::fish: So. They're 3", they're a 5/6 point fitment, they're super stitched, they're not hugely heavy, the quick release point is smooth and easy to operate, the gnarled adjusters seem to hold very well. They cost £45. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/160860348534?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT The price has gone up by 5% since I ordered though... I applied the same logic I do to the entire VAG range and almost all aftermarket upgrades. They're made in a factory in Taiwan. Probably the same factory that has all the tooling and brain power to make another harness, like TRS or something. They've GOT to go through some sort of safety testing. They seem all right for the cash, so I'm happy with that. Some people enjoy videos. http://youtu.be/8l85w72maX8

INNER TRACK RODS!!!
-
They're really really lovely. I can't believe these are only £300!!!
-
I'm super sensible! Everybody assumes that I am some sort of hyper active child with a massive ego that's a total liability; I'm really not! It upsets me. I've crashed my cars and made my mistakes at a young age, now I'm on the road to driving enlightenment.

Unless you've already ordered it, I'd suggest Bitemax Iron-Max is slightly better value and just as good.
-
Mmmmmmmmmm. I don't like them. I'd rather use a spray like iron-x.

Why no validation?

I don't even use the Tarty discount, and I've had to put up with more abuse than ANY of you. I want a pink name. Key things that define a TF member of old... Pete. JT moving to America to live in a trailer. When Mike lived in Brighton. TGM didn't exist. Crotch-Pasta. Prawns Uni-house in Portsmouth. Gaffa-Taping Sam to a chair and covering him in ketchup and piss. Anything Rich Pearson did between the years of 2002 and 2008. "Muel, don't wear it out." That annoying Charlie kid. The Circus. Hannah Shucksmith getting badoinked by Donkey Kong. Knowing that I like SAAB's. The TF car meet and me smashing my car up the day before and everyone being genuine concerned. The first 24 Tour. The old forum layout. (No, the one before that.) Oli (RIP) Which leads me abruptly onto a quite serious point. Lots of us have grown up together, and lots of our real friends have been lost on the journey so far. Inadvertently if we like it or not have shared years of our lives together, and we'll never forget TF. But when will it end? When will we stop logging into TF and taking the piss out of each other? I hope it isn't any time soon, because all told at the end of the day you're all a great bunch of lads you old school TF gang. -
I say that, we all know they're the best car in the world. Not.

S3's are so shit. Having banged on about how amazing it was and how impeccably reliable it is, and spending a fortune on it today... The unlock button decided to stop working today, and every time I unlocked it with the key it relocked. So there I am at the gym car park, my new found gym buddy parked next to me with his M3 I've spent two weeks taking the piss of and I'm having to climb through the boot. Unlock the car, say "WTF's that all about?!" Pass the keys to him, first press it unlocks. Continues working fine for the next 20 minutes. Still working fine now. Cuuuuuuuuuu.

Have a wank then revisit the situation. It's science.

First day back at work after a week off ill. No two ways to put it, I am in no mental state to be back at work. I nearly decked multiple people today but settled for shouting at them. Entire sales team are unresponsive to anything I say or do because they know I don't have the strength to argue. God help them next week when I'm back in shape.

That's for the OMP helmet. I might order a white gearknob for ultimate race car win.
-
Non FIA is quite clearly the way to go. A pair of them; with subframes and double locking runners. £300, brand new. http://www.corbeau-seats.com/cs Compare that to an equivalent quality FIA approved seat and you'll be paying £300 a seat, without double lock runners and subframes. So I bought a pair, as well as 6 point harnesses. And I treated myself to an OMP helmet. Because racecar.

Pahahahahaha I LOL'd at that so hard. Thankfully not me, I'm more than happy to be in the slow groups. I turned up to my last two days in a pair of brown moccasins FFS. What?! They're comfy...

I tend to hang out with Prawn a lot and have a 80,000 view strong build thread. People come up to you all the time then.
-
It's radical thanks, it makes the same power as an MX5's engine, and it took about as much time to fit as a set of chrome dust caps and removing the steering wheel centre to reveal your "super pro race wheel." You may have noticed you're barking up the wrong tree. I've washed my car and rubbed it over with a clean cloth twice in the last month. Dan's the one you're looking for. I can't be arsed with it any more, it doesn't make it go any faster.
-
Don't change it to "the MX5 thread", we don't want it breaking down on us.
