Thanks i love it when a plan comes together ! I'll just explaiin a bit better, the circumference of my Hope C2's disc was 185mm becouse they are roughly 15 years old. So with a plus 20 mount it would have been set for a 205mm rotor rather than a 203mm rotor. Then with the calliper on top it would have been 215mm, not 213mm.... So i lopped 1.8mm off of my mount and then shaved 0.2mm off my disc to remove the 2mm difference................ Boring i know Jarrod Edit....Just saw 203 and on a mod in the same sentence ! WHAT A BEAST !

It's got a hope c2 front brake. I still fun one becouce the have a "Tpa" style thing on the lever, in all of the old D/H vids you could see the the riders rolling there arms across them to tighten em up as the fluid boiled ! Wich is great ! Jarrod

Yeah, as lons as you look tidy and don't ask too much money anyone can get a job in Halfords. Just walk in there with your trials bike and then show off ! Thats what i did. Walked into Cycleworks and said "This is my bike, i built it myself 6 years ago. I'm a trials rider, I'm up for a laugh, i have ridden abroad and love cycling in different locations. Have done several seasons snowboarding in Morillion, France. And can work full time ? My old job paid £5 an hour can you beat that ?" Got a call 25 minuited later offering me a job. Jarrod

Yeah, i work for Cycleworks in Guildford. We have to deal with Halfords every day, Either through bodged reapirs or through the Cycle to Work scheme......From my experience they are unprofessional and your best off with a Bicycle shop, not a nation wide Retailer. Evans Cyckes for instance. Started as a small bicycle shop in Godalming the same time Cycleworks did...Evans grew and grew and grew and now have tens of stores nation wide, but can't offer the customer service and quality of service (bikes) that you require from somewhere that sells bikes. I'm not looking for an argument, These are just my experiences and views. Jarrod As for not having any Qualifications, present yourself well, turn up 5 minuites early, and explain your interest in bikes and what you know. Good luck

Where do you live, you can do alot better than halfords ! You will learn bad habbits and will be a joke to every bike shop ! Ask around, if yuor bikes tidy take it in. Tell them you do your own repairs, you can work full time and everything....... Jarrod

Thanks if you want to congratulate me i'll tell you why i'm so proud ? My hope C2 has a 0.5 offset...So fitting 203 rotor ment that i would only be able to use about 20% of the braking surface of the rotor becouse the brake would actually be at 215mm (if you followed it around in a circle with the center being the quick release...) so i had to machine the mount and then cut and finish the rotor so it was 0.2mm smaller so it used all of the braking surface of the Rotor..... I call it Neld Skhool (New-Old School-Skool) Jarrod

I've just put a 203 rotor on the front of my Pashley.....You've never seen, felt, or laughed at anything so spot on in your life ! Locks up great, awesome modulation, I've got the TPA style thing on my lever (like steve peat had ) It's a BEAST..... What are your views ? anyone else got big rotors ? Jarrod

Halfords suck, I work in cycleworks in guildford and were forever fixing there bikes becouse they don't tighten crank boltsand the BB threads rip out !!!! But that is VERY cool...Halfords have moved up a spot in my books now

With the thomson stem and seat with the carbon bars and XO upgrades, with the fork upgrades and the new XTR chain-set and the Hope hoop's with pro 2 hubs.... i've put on it the retail would be £4759.98 I could have baught it cheaper direct from Orange but i would have had to wait a long time... And the custom colour option wich was the only thing i paid full price for ! was a further £150 I only paid £1900 for it....But thats beside the point. If i was looking to re sell i would look towards the £1700 mark. But i wouldn't ever sell it ! Jarrod Edit.....By "Direct from Orange" i mean, them build it up with there spec list. Rather than buying all the parts new myself and building it.........

Don't have any pics of me in action as i ride alone, and when i do go out for a ride it's so full on if we stop to take pics our energy levels will drop and we'd never get home !!! Hey guys.....If your after an ashton then your in for a long wait ! Ashton distribute from orange, and i rang them up for a frame for myself, and all they've got for the next 6 MONTHS ! is the raid's Jarrod
