  1. You woouldn't. It would be the same as M3 owners, EVERYONE would say "HAHA HES GOT A TINY DICK !!!!"
  2. Yeah it is, Renault 5 T2's were rally homologated legends. Loads more of the photo's I've got - Early ones had the most amazing interiors ever !
  3. Word up Matt. I'm not reppin' land rovers any more. I'm going to be a crack smoking hippie and have a dub, so I'll see you in the other thread. Bye homoz.
  4. The only realy problem is they're not a V8 I appreciate what your saying, a Honda is 70/30 on road/off road but I'm a bit more simple than that. I (and allot of other people) enjoy the simplicity, strip downedness and generally basic land rovers because of that. There not a vehicle to get about in, I see most land rovers as a lifestyle necessity. There essentially working vehicles, and I couldn't see a CRV being "worked" in the same sense. But, as you rightly say there is a good market for the Hondas and they fit the bill for the more on road user but allow you to nip down a lane to a cycling track or to let you go that little bit further. I wasn't knocking the Hondas and stuff, I was just starting a discussion
  5. I had 5 bikes upright in the back of my Disco on Tuesday, they really are the best thing for moving bikes. (As apposed to a van obviously....)
  6. I don't mean to be rude because I know you like them, but the Hondas are hairdressers cars. Get one by all means Sam, but be prepared for everyone who had a Land Rover (or any other 4x4 for that matter!) to laugh it you behind your back. They do serve a purpose, as a SUV. But an Off-Roader ?
  7. I was (as I hope you guys guessed) joking about the tranny. I'd have a Saab 99 with a 900 turbo engine and running gear conversion. But if it had to be one standard car then - A 5 turbo 2, but I wouldn 't have those Pirelli 600's on the back !!!
  8. I'd probably have a Mk1 Transit.
  9. The poor treatment of animals bred simply to be eaten. I will eat a proper free range local meat from pubs round here (one of the locals in the pub I go to is the Farmer who the pub buy the meat from, so I KNOW it's had a good life and has been treated respectfully), but I don't want my pocket to fund Bernard Mathews turkey baseball.
  10. *PIC HEAVY POST* Just get a Discovery or a Series Land Rover. 90's are over priced, and 110's are a bit pooey off road. - A few photo's of my Discovery before it goes (probably in the next few days ) If anybody on here wants it then it's £1300 with a years MOT and 6 months tax. And check out my ropes and chains, that ropes been in constant use since the 70's when my dad had his Lightweight ! All of my tidy lights, it took me ages to adapt the bracket for the one under the mirror And check out my unadulterated standard cross-axel ability....
  11. I don't eat meat so for me it has to be - Pasta with Mediterranean vegetables and a little bit of cheese. But I do miss a good Bacon Sandwich
  12. Thats the problem I had, they seem to be a bit thinner than a standard cateye/topeak/basta/sigma/cheapo brand light bracket. It didn't help that I only had a Halfords cheap nasty light to try the brackets with. The rechargeable ones are more like a computer fitting as apposed to a light fitting.
  13. Get f**ked. I tried didn't I ? I tried bloody hard in-fact and spent a good few hours going through the brackets box looking for the right one after saying I had one, turns out the ones I thought fitted the light he had were slightly different to all the other Halfords brackets we have which are the same as Topeak ones, they just don't fit the rechargeable lights. Thats more than you did to help the guy out so wind your neck in. I even went to Halfords with a couple of brackets to try them on a light there on my day off ! (I was going there anyway but it's the thought that counts)
  14. Trials is a bit boring now. I remember 5/6 years ago when trials was done on an XC bike that was too small for you and it was all about trying wacky shit and new designs. It just seems that trials is square now, and the other thing that really winds me up is the complete lack of popper knowledge about how the bike works and how to fix/build/set it up ! Trials riders seem to be able to ride bikes that are held together with zip ties and lolly sticks and still think there bikes look cool..... Where as BMX is very image conscious, and is universal to chavs and more alternative people. And BMX's can still be used as a reasonable form of transport, as apposed to a trials bike which is f**king useless.... Also, how is Trials a Comp Sport ? Completely the opposite IMO, I've never been into comps or anything to do with groups or racing because I hate to feel controlled or pushed into things. Which is why I got into trials, it was different and a bit weird.
  15. WD40 is f**king shit. It's a water disperser so it just dies out any lubricant that is in there, GT85 ***&JAM
  16. DIE DIE DIE !!!! *I've been playing Carmageddon 2 all evening.....best game ever ?
  17. Do I get a royalty for every one of them on display ?
  18. You don't make a mistake because the way our medical services work there would be a f**k up and they'd put the wrong organs in anyway. [/thread]
  19. I've got one, I checked today. I'll get it tomorrow and PM you some details.
  20. Unlucky dude !!!! Get on www.vwgolfmk2.co.uk I'm a moderator on there, make a topic on it and I'll sticky it !
  21. Got thousands of them. I'll get one today if you pay postage ?
  22. Tarty do a price match.....
  23. Post a photo of the light unit and I'll try and find you one. I did say that a few days back too, could have had it in the post by now....
  24. Do a search on them from this forum - http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....Search&f=13 TUK is owned and run by a guy called Dan, and he's f**king useless. Sends out used parts as new, doesn't send most parts, keeps credit card details and won't do returns or refunds easily. Save yourself the hassle, and NEVER order from TUK, use Tartybikes. I've never heard of anybody having a problem with Tarty, and don't say "but they don't do leopard print nipples" because it's better to have good parts than waiting on the post man for something thats not been sent. http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....mp;hl=trials-uk http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....mp;hl=trials-uk http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....mp;hl=trials-uk
