RS2's don't look shit at all, they look lush And what are the other guys going to think when he rocks up in an estate car that sounds like rolling thunder and blows the doors off all there pissy little shopping cars ?
-
There not 15K any more. A MINT RHD Black one (rare as f**k?) with full specialist service history is on ebay at the moment for 10K. Also, are you denying 4.6 seconds to 60 for a fully loaded estate car is slow or something ? And that 163mph is not enough for the UK's roads ? And that the RS2's aren't an amazing handling car ? I've never driven one, but I've been a passenger in one and it was f**king amazing. As far as I can see the RS2 is a VERY well thought of car to motor heads and despite being 15 years old, and being a mix and match of Audi and Porsche they are one of the best truly useable cars with big performance figures. If you put an RS2 up against a Boxster it would have it for breakfast I think, look at the performance figures.
-
You all know I'm right when I say RS2 though. There performance is outstanding, infinitely upgradable (but why would you!), they have instant respect from other "in the know" motorists and are an estate car ? 0 to 60 in 4.6 seconds, 163 mph (limited) and Porsche engine, suspension brakes and styling coupled with Quattro and legendary handling characteristics ? I know thats what I'd buy and insure for 16K. Youtube Video -> ">" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350">

I'm of next to no use to this conversation, because your talking about shitty over rated plastic filled rep boxes. Not REAL sports cars. If it's got PAS I don't want to know. *joke*

+1. *edit*insert generic hair dressers car joke*edit*

I'm pretty sure he wants a car that he can have a good thrash through the B/A roads whilst still being every day friendly. To be fair I've stopped reading this properly now aswell, it's gone from helpful advice to a pissing contest.

Are you f**king blind Simps ?

It's too old you foo' ! If I were you I'd look at either.... 1.) Porsche Boxter 2.) Lotus Esprit 3.) BMW M5 4.) BMW 850i 5.) A NICE Evo 5 6.) RS4 Avant ... ... ... 197.) R32 Golf

+1. I've been insured on a group 19 car, but got denied insurance on a group 14 golf GTI. It's more down to the risks and associated drivers with the car your trying to insure, for instance you you get a golf GTI as I did the insurance group will be low. But you won't get insurance easily because it's a boy racers car. What I'm getting at is you might NEED to look at an older car to keep the insurance down, but obviously it's your money and your car
-
Unless he's killed 30 people in car crashes he'll be able to go to group 20. I can be insured on ANYTHING, and anybody who claims insurance is hindering them from getting the car that want doesn't deserve to own that car because they lack the back bone to pick up a phone and arrange the right insurance.

Right, I know you've said you have 16K but I'm assuming this is some sort of a car loan or allowance your being given ? If so then I'd be looking to spend as little as possible, whilst still getting the right car. It might be hunky dory now but you may need a bit of spare cash in the future, or buying a 12K car and saving £80 a month or what ever might make a big difference in the future. I suggest you have a look at something like this - 2001 BMW M5, Remapped, Sports Exhaust and a TV you can watch whilst driving! The E39 M5's are a great car, with a good mix of intuitive handling and exhilarating performance and luxury cruise ability. Or something like this - Audi RS2, Porsche Power, Legendary Handling and 160MPH RS2's are going up in value, and are a LOVELY car ! Or you could go for the more obvious choice of a Porsche 911, Boxter or a Lotus Elise, or something like that. But PLEASE don't buy any of those cars, there shit lifeless and boring !
-
*I have ben answered already* Give me two seconds, I'll use my brain to work out the perfect car for you.
-
If I had 16K I would buy the mother of all pimp cars. You could buy a red label Bentley Turbo R for that money, or a Lotus Esprit, VXR220 Turbo, or anything really ! There are some Porsche Boxter S's about for 15K FFS ! Or an R32 ? What do you want this car for ? And I/we will advise you on what he best car for you is. But I certainly wouldn't buy any of those at 16K under any circumstances.
-
R32 all the way. But if you have 16K to play with and buy any of those four you are a fool.

I know, she doesn't want help but I feel compelled to stop her f**king up her life ! The reason I want to help her is when she's clean she's lovely, I've known her forever and I can see where she's going to end up. And I don't want her good nature being taken advantage of by some spotty dick lick who fancies her cos she's got big tits. I'd go vigilante on there ass but that would lower me to there standards.... -

What do I do guys ? A while back I met up with a girl I hadn't seen for years, go on really well but screwed up a little bit but nothing major. She was with a bloke at the time so we just went out shopping/sightseeing etc etc and didn't do anything too serious. He was treating her like shit, and I was being real nice and supportive to her. She is going off the rails a bit and is doing drugs, drinking loads and generally throwing her life away as far as I can see. I waited a while and held back until she was split with the last guy she was with because I didn't want to be a nob myself, and then all of a sudden I couldn't get hold of her. Phone was always on answer phone, stopped texting me, stopped coming on MSN and I got a bit worried about her so I popped round to see her mum last night. Her mum was really pleased to see me, and was really nice and genuine with me (she was my favorite teacher at school ) and told me a few things. Apparently she's got a new boyfriend and is spending all her time in Eastleigh, and is never home etc etc. I'm really worried but I can't get hold of her, also I've got a lot of feelings for her and I've been looking to meet up with her and start going places and being mates with her again. But she's impossible to get hold of, I spoke to her mum and told her that I really like her (she already knows) and that I'm worried that she's alright but she didn't seem to bothered and had a "kids will be kids" attitude to her going out getting smashed and drugged up every night I don't know what to do, because me and this girl are spot on and we always have been but she seems to just be going through every no hoper twonk she can get her hands on. But truth be told I want her to be with me and sort her life out -

I'll take you, you big fat jew ! -
I hate you and your logic ! So yeah, another contributing factor to trials being more popular than ever?
-
Well you were wrong, there IS a bigger interest in trials since Danny Mac's new videos came out. I know that but I was asking if anybody else had actually noticed all the additional interest. Anywho, I think it might be more noticable from my point of view because I actually work and sell the bikes so I get to see (as Ali does) the ups and downs of different styles and trends. Trials is deffinatly more popular at the moment than it was say 6 months ago, and I think a fair bit of that is due to Danny's recent videos and input.
-
Shhh Dilworth ! I was going for the whole rhetorical question topic starter, but I forgot this is Trials Forum. I might change my name to Boswell while I've got the chance...

Kelly's Heros ! Amazing film...

AND if I'm so wrong about trials being mroe popular than ever why's his april video the tenth most watched video on youtube this month then ? Oh yeah, I get it now....I'm right. http://www.youtube.com/browse?s=mp&t=m

Well, I'm a member on 10+ car forums and he's been mentioned on EVERY one of them. Nobody on car forums was talking about Trials or any sort of bikes up until a few weeks ago. Also, nobody has come in my bike shop asking about or for trials bikes in the (almost) year I've worked there up until this week where I've sold a few Phases and a load of 24" street bikes. So I think the answer is yes, people ARE getting interested in trials and are viewing the sport as something cool and wanting to get involved.
