  1. HAPPY BIRFDAY DUDE, IM ON ZEE PHONEZ TO U !
  2. It doesn't look good anymore, back when I did it less people had done it and it was something only for the hardcore/more unusual person
  3. Meh', I had 26mm tunnel and went up form a standard piercing. Had no problems leaving it 2/3 weeks between stretches, and took it out about a year ago and it's back down to nothing now; you'd never know I'd done it. I guess it varies from person to person though. *haha, just seen what "Captain Scarlet" says. Thats bollocks, when I did mine i used to do 3/4 mm a go and what we used to do was put two books on a desk at school then hammer them through with the spine of another book using the other two books to keep my ear in one place Genuine advice here - have a HOT bath first. Edited to add a photo of me on the way up, at 20mm in the photo -
  4. The easiest way to stop the illegal downloads and uploads would be to simply shut down the sites as apposed to going to downloaders' doors, but unfortunately the law can't even stop people from walking down the street with guns so they've got f**k all chance of minimizing/stopping illegal music downloads
  5. At the end of the day, it's f**king hard to get into the music business these days and by downloading illegal music you're only making it harder for these guys who are already dedicating their life to it. You guys have got three people who are well connected, and pretty well studied in the music world telling you the effects that illegal downloading is having on the industry but your still arguing otherwise.
  6. Don't be so narrow minded, do you not understand the link between money and producing music ? You need money to get your songs on CD/MP3/whatever format so people can listen to it, it's not really possible for your average band to ever make enough money to get there music out there and produced without some kind of backing. It's getting harder and harder to get studio backing, or record label backing due to the substantial loss of money in the music industry (which has been caused by illegal downloading). If there is less money coming back into music, how dumb would you have to be to put money into a new band who have nothing but there ability to play the instruments behind them ? This wasn't the case a few years ago, the right people would get excited about new music and would want to back your band to try and get in on the money you could make for them/yourself. Even then, it was a vicious circle or the musician working there ass off and getting minimal for it but hard work is better than no work !
  7. Oh f**k off, your thick as shit. Period. - It's interesting reading this how the professional/semi pro/serious musicians on here are saying "No, illegal downloads are shit and will cripple the music industry". And the people who don't know f**k all about the music industry, and only care about listening to music don't give a f**k. Guys, it won't make a difference to us musicians wether you download music legally or not. We are just telling you the facts, so that next time you want a song you might try another route. If this kind of thing carries on there won't be any new music of any quality, it'll all be pirate, cheap, shitty and generally budget because the new guys won't be able to make any money out of it to get there foot in the door !
  8. What I used to do with my Pashley was have two rings on the front, I had a Saint double chainset and had it dropped onto the smallest ring for trials and then popped it up to the larger ring (by hand) when I was going somewhere. I had a 105 rear mech on the back, so it kept the tension right in both rings
  9. Nahhh, you could knock something up easy. I know Surely make a flip flop rear hub, but to get a pro 2 and have somebody remake the shell with two disc mounts would be a days work, to get a set of brake boss's brazed onto or mounted on a fork would be no time at all, and making a hose would be easy enough. Goodridge to a splitter union for one of the older Grimeca brakes (back when they made the Shimano XT/R brakes for them). Could knock it up with £100 in a week no problem
  10. I am almost 900,942% sure that Surley make a flip flop rear hub with a disc mount on both sides.
  11. The Shimano range still have them, Nexus internal 3 speed is the cheapest in the range with standard axle spacing. This is a roller brake - This is an internal geared hub with a coaster (back pedal) type brake and 3 internal gears - You can spot a back pedal hub by the stay on the non-drive side which mounts on the chainstay.
  12. Thats probably because they're f**king mahoosive bands, both are under the same record label IIRC ? Maybe search for some more bands under that label ?l *edit* Both are under Columbia and Elektra, who are really wanky labels for distribution
  13. Gutted ! Mines always in the bottom corner in the task bar, it's really good quality and the stream time is instant. No found a single song they haven't got yet...
  14. Yeah, Spotify free service has one advert every 30 minuets. And it's not as though the adverts are shitty, I just listened to one then which was "Frank Music" (SP?) beatboxing and he simply said "My producers asked me to make a Spotify advert, so hear goes" then he did a 20 second unplugged bit of singing and let me get back to my music.
  15. Right. The 79P that you pay from Itunes etc etc covers your right to play, and own the music. What you do is pay for the right to save it to your computer so that you own the music. The free streaming sites like Spotify are not illegal, because you do not save the music. Your not "taking" the music, you're simply listening to it through somebody else. Much like hearing a track on the headphones of somebody sat next to you on the bus, you can listen to it but you can't save it. When you download via lime-wire and other P2P (peer to peer) programs you are essential copying the music from somebody else who uses the programs hardrive, which amounts to theft on a small scale. Because you have not paid for the right to play the music, however I do believe if you have purchased the rights to the music in the past you are entitled to download it. Much like the ROM system works with Gameboy emulators and the like.
  16. Itunes. Unless you pay for the songs then they are all Illegal, if you want more information feel free to PM me; I have a part study Honors degree in Musical Buisness and Production so I'm sure I can fill in the blanks for you. </thread again>
  17. Well, whats the point in this thread really ? Your asking for something which is both against the rules of the forum, and against the law. I'm no kill joy, you can download whatever you like and it won't bother me. But if your not clever enough to abide by the forum rules, and dumb enough to not find an appropriate program to download the music you want then you don't deserve the privilege of a computer with internet access. It's irresponsible and it's the kind of behavior which is knocking down profits in the music business and stopping new musicians from taking traditional routes into the industry. Why not save up and go buy an album, then you OWN the music. It's yours to do whatever you like with then, you can put it in a blender then for all I care (obviously burn it off first) but at least you will own the right to play the songs. </rant>
  18. I've got a few words for you; read the fucking rules.
  19. I just rode back from Prawns pretty tanked up, and I didn't get nicked Youtube Video -> ">" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350">
  20. Ok, well in that case your asking for recommendation to a program you intend to use for illegal purposes. And you've clearly stated your going to be breaking the law so in that case I'm, in for the close !
  21. Probably, I'd like to live a Baller lifestyle but I'm still in footpad status. I'm not 100% sure what my mum does now, she's just signed a contract yesterday for something and I haven't had time to ask her. I know it involves shoes because we've had a load of leather samples and POS pieces turn up at home this morning. She used to be a "mystery shopper", for the largest customer service agency in the UK. Which was a really cool job because she basically got to go out and buy things, and got given the money and paid a pretty high hourly rate for assessing customer service. And then got to keep the items afterwards ! A few times I've been out for some quite nice meals in restaurants with her and been able to order whatever I like and it's been part of her job, and she had a great one once where she had to buy a laptop and had to shop around for the best deal under £600 and got paid hourly for the job and got to keep the laptop haha !
  22. In excess of 40K a year = top 10% of UK. My mum's new job see's her on 54K PA. Hardly investment banker territory, but still in the top 10%. Which proves the whole don't *need* qulifications. Edited for my bad spelling, me and Prawn are on sofa with beer... Were on 19 units each hahahaha
  23. No, your right she did work hard to get where she is. But I get the hump when people put all this pressure on younger people to get high GCSE grades, and to go on through higher education and stuff. Because at the end of the day, it's all down to the individual. I know a guy who can't spell/read/write or do anything on an academic level, but he could rebuild any engine you throw at him or hand build you a space frame for a race car. GCSE's, A Levels and AS's are not the end of the world, if you're going to make lots of money and get somewhere in life it's not down to how many tickets you've got it's down to whats going on in your head. Just like that Scottish guy from the Dragons Den, he didn't have shit when he was a kid. Got kicked out of school, and got into gangs and stuff like that and now he's one of the largest investors in the country !
