Shut up Jason, you are talking about something you know very little about and being slanderous. "Jardo prices" are always spot on, one thing I am never wrong on is the price of things. Don't make me out to be a muppet when you have nothing to base it on. Go and find me a single BBS RC042 and factor in the price of a brand new 245/45/17 branded tire for less than £250. I have three RC042's in 8.5J, one needs a new lip so is worth roughly £150. Now go and find me a BBS RC041 7.5J and factor in a 225/45/17 tire for less than £200. I have two RC041's with brand new tires. These wheels are worth a modest fortune. They aren't the standard "style 5" BBS that came on most, they are a very expensive factory order. A set of nonstaggered RC041's with scrap/no tires needing a refurb should sell for £350+ on ebay.

Too scared to f**k it up and not do them justice lol

A friend of mine has a plastidip sprayer so I may plastidip them white. I have borrowed a drill from a friend so I will cut and mirror polish the rim tonight. I just want to get one rim done to have something to aim for.

Is that crackle paint? I am going for silver centers with black bolts and polished lips. Just keep it standard ish to keep the resale up. LOL Rich so true.

That's mental James, I can't find a set of staggered wheels in any condition for less than £400 delivered regardless of condition and most of which needing tires. Am I looking in the wrong places? The only staggered set of 5 I can find with new tires that are straight and not requiring major work are £799+70 delivery. Did you polish or paint yours? I am confused what to do go seal the lip. Bob, trust me it has taken me four hours. I spent an hour or so cleaning when before I even rang you. Shush.
-
No Bob, the rears are 245 and the fronts are 225. And it literally was 4 hours, I picked them up at 6 and only packed up 5 mins ago. They will be on the car ASAP, but I am not rushing the refurb. I will take them to Lou's dads on Thursday and use the wire brush machine to destroy the studs so I can spray them

Different wheels These are genuine BBS BMW RC042's in 8.5J rear and RC041's in 7.5J for the front. They are a full set of 5 with brand new tires, genuine BBS center caps and genuine BBS BMW badges, well chuffed.

I have had the luckiest day ever. Got £800's worth of wheels for £275. And 5 brand spanking new 245/45/17 tires. I am now owed 4 hours of my life thanks to this one lip...

Nice. They look really tidy, the look big for 17's. Vaders do look lush, I may think about a set for mine if it stays. Have you got any pictures of yours from the side?

No, it isn't sorn'd if it says license not due online. You are lucky by the looks of it and have just got a single payment fine for having an uninsured vehicle, was ts £80 or £120 for you? I still wouldn't ride it until I had phoned DVLA though, systems take up to 60 hours to update and it's all quite shit with them.
-
If it isn't insured and is taxed though (which is was) you will have incurred a fine because DVLA will automatically declare the vehicle as SORN (if they haven't picked it up you can get away with it, but you got a notice then they have) so you need to check online as to wether the license is due on the vehicle. Click this link - https://www.taxdisc....?execution=e1s1 Input the details it asks, and if it will say three status's - "expired" "due to expire" "license not due" Depending on what it says online, depends on wether your tax is valid and if you can drive the vehicle/bike. If the license is not due or due to expire then it is fine to drive, if it is listed as expired then DVLA have sorn'd your bike and you need to return and re-apply for the tax disc. The chances of you getting caught if the license is expired are immeasurable, but you'd be a stupid willy if you did do it because you would also be uninsured. You COULD face losing your license if you had an accident, and you would face a fine and points if you were lucky and got caught.

18" Schnitzer type 2's? Are they 9.5J spaced 15mm on the rear? I was lead to believe from the brochures I have bought that the M-Tec kit was never offered on the IS Coupe and that they were all aftermarket. Does look great though! What have you done with your interior? Leather?
-
A vehicle has to be insured at all times, unless it is declared SORN with the tax disc returned to DVLA and no break between the license expiring and the SORN notice being issued. IE, you need to pay an £80 fine and there is no way around it because you broke the law. If a vehicle is taxed then it is licensed to be on the road, if it is on the road it needs to be insured.

It's too nice to be a skidder, so G wheels and lowering it is. Boom - I presume I will win these, I bid £490 on them lol My plan is to paint the centers Morea green and polish the lips with polished bolts.

This post will seem really boring to some people, in a way it is. But it's copied from another forum I use where the aim of the game is basically to own as many cars as you can and admire the little details. - Today I removed the towbar from my latest acquisition, perhaps that line alone tells you that it is potentially the polar opposite of the Clio RS that received so much attention last week. So where to start with my entirely retarded last weeks worth of car buying? Monday would be a good start! So on Monday I was having a dull day at work, rainy and generally a bit quiet. The highlight of my day up until about 2PM was Clive popping in to say hello (great to meet you, glad I could help!), then the new girl from Fiat asked me to go out and appraise a car which was being offered in PX for her, because it was "an old BMW" and she didn't know anything about it. Went outside to have a poke around and was met with this - I appraised the car, and it was immaculate. I will highlight the only piece of "bodywork" on the entire car, it is a showroom vehicle it really does look like with a few hours paint correction it would have just rolled out of Dick Lovetts. I immediately went across to the used car manager once the deal was done and paid for the car on my credit card. He was not impressed! I sold the Clio on Wednesday night and collected the BMW from work on Thursday morning. I haven't had a chance to do the paint correction yet, or in fact do anything other than an interior wash. I haven't even managed to black the tires or plastics yet. Because down here it has been chucking it down all week until today where we've had 25* blistering heat. Not ideal! However, here she is - No rust! The only piece of bodywork on the entire car, most of which I think will come out with G3 - And some pictures for the detail lovers Factory extra green tinted glass to match the Moreagren paintwork - And matching tinted mirror glass - And the little light on the key - I'm ridiculed on another forum I regularly use because I tell them that every car I have (big or small) is without exception the best car in the world, for at least three weeks until I sell it. This certainly isn't the best car in the world ever, it's shit. But I LOVE the little details, it is so smooth and quiet to drive, it is so original and sweet (for lack of a better word) that I am really enjoying it so far. I do have plans for the car which will ruin it's originality; but E36's look so good slammed on their arse. And if there was ever going to be a time to own a modified E36 then this is the car to do it with because I will never be able to afford such a straight base car again. Thanks for the read guys, this will be my 4th car so far this year so I am doing ok at the moment

Offer £250 for these and the bloke accepted, worth it or not? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221073747830?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

Inur, is that a brake reservoir for the hydro rear mounted on the cage? Like that a lot. Picking up a set of AC type 3 splits in the morning, 18" with 205 40 18's for a bit of stretch. Win.
-
Should have a set of 17" staggered AC Schnitzer type 2's and a set of ebay coilovers by the end of next week. There is a set of wheels on ebay that are cheap, and the buy it now isn't even that bad. They are only 30mins away, so I am going to bid or buy it now. They only have two days left. Payday on Wednesday so will order the lows then, because I CBA to pay my cash into the bank lol
-
Yeah, it's better than putting it on her car like I was going to. That would have been rude lol
-
Read the last couple of pages then, because that's not what's happened lol And no Wrayvon I don't pay £80 when I want to put it on a car, I pay £104 for 1 year or £155 for three years and I can keep the plate on hold for three years and transfer it whenever I want inclusive of that price.
-
What are you going to buy Craig? I've got a lovely Focus ST in work
-
Well, I have no receipt for the cambelt but was assured it was done. The new owner having looked at the service history can make his own assumption, I can't see why it wouldn't be done but as I said to the owner...No receipt no proof! But for now I'm saying it wasn't just for persuasions sake. Yes modding can begin, if it hasn't broken down in 6 weeks I'll spend some money on it. Bucky, advise me? Cheapest ebay coilovers I can get, a set of wheels and strip the hell out of it?

Tic has just pointed out that the number plate on the BMW is FTC...f**k The Clio lol Took it for a spin today, it rained and I did some drifting. Mid slide I heard a ticking noise, turns out the manifold is cracked. And so it begins...
-
No, that is a terrible deal. It is £2500 too much. - No George it is a brilliant idea. An MOT, tax and service was due on the Clio, and the cambelt was 35,000/7 years over due. It needs two front tires to get through MOT, and even with all of that done it would have not put the price up much. Also the BMW is £31 a MONTH cheaper to insure, which is good. And no, I never said I am, was or intended to buy a car in September? I will buy something early part of next year, Jan/Fed whilst the used market is flooded with people selling cheapee to try and secure new plates in March. September just happens to be a bonus and will give me a fair chunk of the saving. Now was a brilliant time to sell it.

f**k off Rich! lol
