Literally no point, 4WD is shit. Especially the haldex rubbish that Audi chose to burden the A3's with; it's like trying to poo when you've just got out the shower or washing your car in the rain. I'll answer on behalf of Prawn for Muel (because I know Prawns gone to bed), that's spinning up pretty much all the time. The only time there is solid grip is for the first 200rpm in the first pull (3rd gear) and the first 800rpm in the second pull (4th gear).

Big gay following ***. I got stopped by a copper today who was in Tesco and congratulated on my mo', was a pretty stand out moment.

A bit of mogress. I've gone away from the handle bars, having made this decision I know I have gone past the point of no return. I *can* get a twist into it but it won't hold, I trust by the end of the week I will have a sizable twist and an upturn. I think it's pretty f**king epic, if I may say so myself.
-
Prawns car is now simply epic. I'll let him break the news, I think he wants to break the news himself. However I can say he has broken the record for the most powerful K04 hybrid with a finalized map that's been released on the public. Which is f**king exciting shit! He just sent me a video. Holy mother f**king shit balls that is mental.

Matt; when I wrote off my 205 emergency servics came, however I paid for my own recovery and scrapping of the vehicle, never claimed on insurance and no damage was done to council property. I did however notify my insurance (NFU) and they asked me if I was submitting a claim, I said no I did not want to submit a claim but I was just making them aware as I believed it to be a legal requirement to notify your insurance of an accident. To say they weren't interested is an understatement, and when I told Admiral this year when I switched they didn't increase my premium above the online quote. So I presume as no costs have been costed to the insurer you do not need to notify them as it is not seen as an accident in the eyes of the law or insurance industry.

Oooooh that's a deep burn. Fair one though.

I have an eXposure 6 pack, if you let me know when you're riding at night I'll turn it on so you can see your way home.
-
Which is why they ask you if you've had any accidents or claims in the last 5 years, and points or convictions in the last 5 years. Sorry champ

Bit of an update, with my Mospace and work donations I smashed the £200 barrier this morning and I'm over the moon! Have an update with little bird and I -
-
I've got £83 on my Mospace, and a further £73 of donations from work which are going direct to the Institute for Cancer Research. Come on guys, dig deep. This means a lot to me and I appreciate every single penny. http://mobro.co/jardo

It's worth it, always lots to see and do. Niki's a very busy man, but his customers seem to use the place as a point of reference.

£290 all in, don't know how WD40 works...I just know it does lol! Under £300 for 50bhp/25% increase in power; can't complain at that.

Yup. Phoenix business park. Thinking of going?

I've gone a whole day without updating anything or even posting, rad huh! In reward I will be posting pictures, graphs and many other boring things. My mate Joe wanted to remap his beautiful Mk5 GTI - He was going to just go to the local Revo dealer (30 mins away) and throw a revo stage 1 on it. I basically told him he would be a mug to do so, and dragged him down to Niki at R Tech. It meant an 11 hour round trip and two tanks of fuel...Niki had a lot to live up to for this to be worth it! From reading reviews, going on websites and the like Joe was expecting 230bhp but would have been absolutely over the moon at 240. Strong figures for an otherwise totally standard 2.0TFSI Mk5. We set off at 6:30, destination R Tech. We had bought our gifts for the tuning gods in the hope they would look down on us favorably - Trip up there was good, lots of cool cars en route. An Aston with an epic plate - And a Detomasa Pantera with an even more epic plate! The owner of this was great, pulling next to us and then blasting off and spitting flames as we gave him the thumbs up. Then coming back for more. We actually missed our turning off the M5 and ended up taking the M69 and going around Birmingham because we were having so much fun! Niki has some huge projects and builds on the go at the moment, 1.8t's in EVERYTHING as well as building hybrids and general R&D. This was pretty special to see in a Mk2 - Sooooo, we spent a LONG time chatting...Like an hour just stood about putting the world to rights. Whilst we were chilling out Ben was doing a diagnostics and health check on Joe's car. All FOC and part of the service. Ben found a small boost leak as well as a slightly worn diverter valve seal. He also wound the actuator in to help hold boost when mapping. Whilst Ben was doing this lots of customers popped by, all super friendly and full of praise for Niki; treating it more as a social visit than anything I think Joe was starting to get the idea now. Car went on the rollers, Niki did a quick pull in it and even as a totally standard car the wheels were slipping on the dyno. Niki knew this was going to make good power. The way to stop wheels spinning is to spray WD40 on the tires, and do a couple of accelerations and sharp braking on the rollers to get more warmth in the tires. After about 10 mins of this we didn't have any traction issues. So, stock map and totally 100% standard car - 203.5BHP which is healthy, but totally bang on what you'd expect. No faults or issues to worry about. First map went on - Niki scratched his arse a bit - And pulled some funny faces and danced like a gnome - I went out for a fag and to talk to the boys next door and came back to find Niki had already mapped it! Joe had 241bhp with the first flash. Joe was over the moon, jumping on the spot and wanting to hug Niki. The response "Man boost..." Then Niki's wife turned up so we weren't sure if Niki was done or not after all we were very happy with 241bhp!, but we had some fun and it was lovely to meet her. Then Niki went back to the rollers. Twenty mins later he was staring at the screen shaking his head, looking very grumpy. Then he turned his head sideways with an almighty grin and stuck his thumbs up. One more run and a quick tweek and he had turned Joe's over the moon 241bhp to an at the time unthinkable 253.3bhp at 19psi with the smoothest and most controlled graph you'll ever see. We were very very very happy! Niki took Joe out for a spin and showed him the new boost, we both went for a spin in the car and then Niki told Joe to just go out and have some fun and make sure he was happy with the map. At this point we hadn't paid a penny. Joe came back and was gobsmacked, the car drives exactly the same as it did a stock vehicle. Just with 50bhp more pretty much everywhere, it's the best map I've ever seen for one of these at stage 1 and with Niki's TIV removal technique you can really tell the difference from a generic flash from a generic tuner. Joe was patched in, and had his terrorist sticker applied by Ben himself. And home we went! Joe keeps texting me to say he can't believe how great he is and that he loves his car more than anything. So I guess R Tech have done it again. Not only are they top of the 1.8t game, but it turns out he's also the daddy for TFSI's as well! Off the back of this I have got three friends who all want me to make the trip down there with them, including one who has a K04 A3 and wants a full custom setup. So I'll report back then

I have got to have a bit of a trim tonight as it is starting to look a bit weird and I have a random blonde patch.

I don't think it is healty to dedicate that amount of solid time to completing a new COD game. I occasionally get on Battlefield once or twice a week for an hour, but not because I love the game but because a group of my friends (who are ex army) get on there and we have a laugh and a catch up online due to them now living 100's of miles away. I USED to spend a lot of time playing BF and XBOX in general, but my relationship started to go down the drain as did my social life. Before long the texts asking if I wanted to go out stopped, and people just didn't bother with me because I was never going out. I also used to get quite aggressive and rage over stuoid things which would wind me up, so even after I had finished playing I would still be highly strun. I put the controller down and within days my relationship was better and I was going out with my mates and having fun again. I can say with first hand experience that obsessing over a game like that is not good for you. Adults do not do things like that.

Great, at least I know I have got the right one.

If your mums facebook profile is deemed inapropriate then I am guilty as charged.

0, COD is for faggots. If you want to shoot people then do something meaningful with your life and join the army, instead of staying up all night talking about it and playing a video game.

Every car has a differential of sorts. Wether it is a limited slip or an open diff is another question. The diff will usually have support bearings on either end of it, when the bearings wear they can cause chattering when there isn't torque applied through the box. - Currently on the way to R Tech for a custom TIV mapping session on a Mk5 TFSI
-
Yup. It is either the diff bearings chattering or the release bearing. If it is fine whilst the clutch is disengaged (pedal down) but rattled when the clutch is engaged then 9/10 it is the release bearing.

Good news then Robin, there's an RX9 coming out in 2015 that's got a rotary in it I'm going to Donnington in January to drive the design car. But I didn't tell you that.
-
Mazda weren't regulated too much with the RX8, the development for the car started in 1995. It was a HUGE project, They're both epic cars, but RX7's are just so expensive to buy and insure.

They are BRILLIANT cars. Excellent interior space, hugely spec'd, they look great and they have beautiful handling.
