Fair play, that is filth for you. It just annoys me, everybody on Audi-Sport is saying it looks shit and having the same opinion you lot have; but they have hero worshipped Nicks car for the last 5 years and not a single person has ever said the exhaust looks gash. I fit it, then its shit and not good enough. Just does my head in really. :/

f**k off Dan, go polish your Focus. Then post pictures so I can tell you it looks shit and that you should have done a better job.

Nobody said anything for the five years it was on Prawns car like that or on every single A3 with a miltek on it. Yet now I fit THE exhaust which was on Nicks car in exactly the same way everyone and their dog is feeling the need to say it looks gammy. It CANNOT go up any higher, if the box is moved up any more it WILL hit the boot floor when driving. We know this because with the rear skirt removed we pulled the back box up as high as it would physically go and went for a drive to see if it knocked. Then we bent the mount back down until it didn't knock. It isn't the fact that the bracket is hanging the box down; it is that the exhaust box will hit the mount on the boot floor which it is suspended on if it goes any higher. What Phil and I have done is a vast improvement on what Miltek themselves use to advertise the exhaust. www.millteksport.com/images/custom/561.jpg

It doesn't go any higher, as you know the mounts are solid bolted to the boot floor. If it mounts to the floor, and it goes on the rubber mount; it can't go anywhere else. Apart from being about 10mm further out than Prawns it is exactly the same place as it was for the last five years on Prawns car. The only thing it needs it 10mm taking out of the center section to pull it in further. But it cannot physically go any higher without modifying the boot floor or creating a new mount which is shorter.

Milltek is on, sounds f**king epic and looks great.

Same happened on my Scirocco, the carb fell off one day and I cut out in the middle of the A38. Duct taped it back together and ran it like that until I sold it haha. Can't believe I didn't think to mention that.

Defo wasn't Jason, I would remember. I think it /might/ have been one of the northern lot. Absolute it wasn't myself though, but I do remember talk of somebody with a Land Rover brake checking a car and them running into the rear bumper/tow bar?
-
You can't remember it because it never happened or it wasn't actually me. You are literally talking out of your arse... Not to mention, even if it was me I have never been thick enough to fall for some chump on the interwebs. As I said, like reading the Daily Mail.

What is it with TF these days?! It's like reading the Daily f**king Mail.

How come I can't link youtube videos? -
A great day indeed Prawn and Pierre came over, and we went out for a spin in all our A3's. My TT pedals turned up this morning - Prawns car sprang a substantial leak. Pierres car looks filthy... Prawn showing the three different colors of his car haha! We went for a nice drive and I am pleased to report the A3 holds it own, unfortunately the conditions did not suit Prawn and we had a very interesting battle of power vs traction on one of the best roads in Devon. Pierre and I at the lights; I'm ahead and they haven't even gone green Played about with launch control on Pierres car, until Prawn got shot in the leg - And my car is booked in for stage 2 with launch control on the 27th of January. And this deserves a post all of its own. Pierre/Frenchman on here; such a twat. *why the f**k aren't youtube embeds working?

Could well be an issue, a couple of days I would say was ok as long as you were prepared to blag that you hadn't received the letter. But a week might be taking the mick a bit.
-
You need to fill out the number plate transfer form, attach your original MOT, a photocopy of the tax disc and the original log book with your signature in the "current owner" portion in the bottom and date it. Send off £80 with the paperwork (cheque), a couple of days later when you get the confirmation letter and re-printed MOT you can stick on your new plate and phone your insurance company. A week after that the log book will come through. Bingo. - No need for insurance unless you are re-taxing at the same time. Make sure you keep copies of all the other documents for when they lose them. Or as Nick has said, just stroll into the local office with all the paperwork and they'll guide you through it. Unless your local office is Exeter, then they are all Nazi c**ts.

Yeah, that's what everybody says and its the way I feel about certain cars.
-
Yup. Personally I feel as though I can go fast enough to have a serious crash in my mildly tuned £2000 Audi which is cheap to insure, easily does 40+ mpg and has not failed in 120,000 and 10 years. So the need for a motorbike which can do 0 to 60 in 3 seconds whilst compromising comfort, space, safety, maintaining costs, the ability to use it in any weathers and expensive single use clothing etc is minimal. I understand more hardcore people may seek the sheer speed and one-ness thrill of a motorbike (I used to) but personally I feel even as a weekend toy there is too much compromise to pick a bike over a car. The two just aren't comparable enough for a reasoned or logical debate IMO.
-
But you will pay mega money for it; and have no roof, no storage space, two seats and no refinement.
-
My insurance is just over £700, mods declared at 21 with 4 years NCB. Before I declared the mods it was £200 less.
-
The answer too everybodys motoring needs -
-
I don't need to prove you wrong Rich, I have no point to prove.
-
No, it isn't that simple. You're over simplifying the entire insurance industry based on the number of cars you see in scrap yards. And that's just isn't the way it works.
-
That's the most flawed statement I've ever heard.
-
Last night Prawn asked me to make sure that nobody sat at a table so our friends could sit with us. I wasn't moving for shit.
-
Because insurance is f**ked up. My A3 has the same engine, and everything underneath as a facelift Leon. Pretty much the same car with a different body. Yet an A3 is LOADS cheaper than a Leon to buy and insure.
-
Today was a good day Went out on the piss in Barnstaple with Prawn, Tic and a load of our friends to celebrate New Years. Woke up next to this beauty - And went and had a look at his Leon, which is LOVELY. Came back from Barney in the track car with Prawn. We came back to mine and I cleaned my car, then my mate Phil turned up with a set of full leather, heated, electric Recaro seats for the Audi for free. So I fitted them, and now I'm drinking Baileys and watching Fantastic Mr. Fox.
