  1. It does! I promise... (A) I did a manifold - turbo gasket today, and cleaned the tb. Pretty certain it's sorted, just need to get this bloody front dogbone bush sorted. I'm not wound up? if i was wound up i'd be on my way round to your old mans to torch his house. Half baked Prawn wannabe! It's better than yours ever was as a road car.
  2. But unlike you I don't spend all week sat on a soggy beach wishing my car wasn't 200 miles away parked up. I get in it every morning and have a wonderful drive to work and back every single day. when I go to bed at night I think to myself "Tomorrow will be a great day: I get to drive the audi." Sat in my lovely comfortable S3 leather Recaros, with my beautifully sculpted S4 steering wheel, my TT pedals just urging me to experience double the torque and double the power of your Renault Megane. And you know what the best bit about it all is? My phone doesn't cut out when I change to third.
  3. I love LCR's, if I hadn't thrown every penny at the A3 and if they did a 3 door I'd get one for sure.
  4. At least mine gets driven...
  5. Take Danny (for instance) and put him in my car, then an LCR. The only things the un-trained driver will ever notice are the slightly shorter rack, the brakes and mine being faster. Rear beam makes no difference when they all have shot bushes, anybody who claims to be able to feel the difference of the rear brakes on the road is a fanny, and who cares about the injectors, maf, turbo, mani's etc when mine is much faster than a stock LCR anyway? You know the differences, Seamons knows the differences and quite importantly I know all the differences. Nobody else will be able to pick up on them.
  6. I would argue about how all of my stock K03 components made more power than a stock LCR did; and that all I'm actually missing from that oh so vast list of yours and my list is the ARB (which I wouldn't use in an ideal world anyway.) But I'm not going to argue with you pair of fannys when we should be worrying about how Tic is going to be able to afford an LCR and how much his claim is worth. I for 3 grand for being knocked off my bicycle; Ticcy will be able to get an LCR for sure.
  7. Too many doors, and my car is only a set of brakes, hubs and lower arms off being the same as an LCR underneath anyway. If my car was standard and lovely like Tic's I would go straight to an LCR, rather than pissing about making a poor chassis good when the LCR is already a huge step up. - How are you feeling today Ticcy?
  8. LCR>A3 in every possible way.
  9. I think we should all join together hand in hand and chant "LCR. LCR. LCR. LCR." Glad he was legal Ticcy, that makes things much easier. X
  10. No thanks; I'm not 7 any more. If I want to "drift" in anything it will be in a car on track at a drift day, not on a 5-10YO Tricycle in a multi storey car park somewhere off the M5. Enjoy your thread.
  11. Yeah Tic; was nice to speak to you. Glad you are ok. X
  12. As I have said many times; it is NOTHING to do with the head or the mapping. It "changed" about three weeks after the mapping and a week before the head. It is a boost leak/faulty sensor/sticky actuator.
  13. No, I never said that. It requires more throttle than it did to boost; the power is in no way linear as linear throttle mapping would suggest. The car behaves strangely on part throttle, and seems to hit a wall at 5psi and 30% throttle. If you depress the throttle further in proportion to the additional acceleration you want the car does not give the appropriate boost to allow the vehicle to accelerate in a linear fashion. I am needing to make above 60% throttle application to force the car above 5psi; then once it has got to 60% throttle it springs up to 10psi and goes far faster than you want it to. If you back off when it is like this it drops down to 5psi and it all starts again. It is nothing like it was when I left Niki's.
  14. I don't know. But I f**king hate it if it is and Niki's a Jew.
  15. I never said people couldn't have an opinion; I voiced my own opinion.
  16. Well I find it a nuisance, and I would find it even more of a nuisance if I encountered it on the road. Stupidly loud exhausts offend me too; but on the whole just like with drift trikes you've got somebody who modify's their car in a reasonable way and doesn't offend to anyone, then you've got somebody who throws a huge jap can on their Subaru because it sounds bear mean blud. The latter type are obviously the drift trike muppets that get dragged around car parks annoying everyone.
  17. It's just annoying. Every car meet I have been to within the last two months there has been some chump on a "drift trike" sliding around the car park making hateful noises and sliding near all the cars. Which puts everyone who isn't involved in this amazing hobby on edge because there is some scrote on his little sisters tricycle sliding about near their beloved car, you can't have a conversation because of the shocking scraping noises of it, dogs are going mental over it and worst of all it LOOKS antisocial so to any locals or passers by a friendly gathering of enthusiasts who never have any issues has turned into a disturbance. In the last three months I have spent over 9 hours in the company of "drift trikes" and they have gone from mildly annoying to a considerable annoyance. Trials rider can get in the way and are also a huge annoyance to the public, but most people can relate to trials riding through BMX or various medias. Where as being dragged around on a kids tricycle just makes you look a bit like a scrote who's pinched if from someones back garden. Running silly boost on a 1.8t doesn't offend anyone.
  18. Nothing annoys me more at car meets than little twats being towed around doing this. It makes everyone involved look like a mindless idiot and just gets in the way and up the nose of everyone who isn't involved. Really; what's the point in it?
  19. No! I'll swap the VVT unit across, I just need the right tool wen Phil's finished with it. It's only a twenty minute job! I did a fair amount of the work on the head, I did all the removal and the fitting of the tensioners and water pump.
  20. I know your plans too. - Spam. Car's running really weird and requiring loads of throttle to make boost; but then once it's made boost it's really quick. Can't work out why, and it's annoying me. EML is due to the removal of VVT which will be replaced next week when I have chance to remove the chain and VVT cartridge and swap it back.
  21. Andy P loves a good Swedish flange.
  22. I like how much of a grumpy bugger your dad looks. I know what he is thinking..."Get your f**king lens off my car, I haven't got time for your shit. You're not welcome here." I've seen that look before.
  23. Running better than ever, much smoother than it was a lots more torque. Must have been on its way out before mapping. Got to Phils ready to fit this - Out with the old - The block ready to take the new head - It's obviously been running perfectly, everything's a great colour and there is no bore wear or markings. This is totally as the old head came off after the gasket was removed - All bores and pistons were in good condition - A few det marks here maybe, but this is the cylinder which dropped two coil packs in a week... New head on - New pumps and tensioners - Timing marks - Gates Powergrip belt - The turbo and manifold are cracked to f**k - But otherwise, it's all back together and spot on! It's given me a huge reality check, I need to get rods, high comp pistons and new rings in it ASAP now. I don't want all this worry about a bent rod ever again! :beerchug:
