Where Will The 2008 Frame Designs Go?
call_the_police replied to ManxTrialSpaz's topic in Trials Chat
I reckon thaty the new 08 frames won't be too nice really, from looking at the 07 Deng range, they wont be anything too revealing, Deng's style isn't what it used to be! Eg. The old, pythons/echo's etc used to look so damn hott!! -
Well for you people who do it, add me on msn jsy_trials@hotmail.co.uk

Just wanted to know if there's any "trials-specific" motto's going around at all?
-
Just seeing if theres any Parkour enthusiasts on here? If there are, show yourselves!

Looks very very nice, but I must say that some of the 07 Deng bikes aren't as nice as the old ones Here's my ride: http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....showtopic=98564 John

I'm guessing some of you guy's are into Parkour then hey? Well I've been doing it for quite a while now and know various sites etc. Here's a few video-page links for you all: http://perso.orange.fr/le.parkour/english/videos/ http://www.urbanfreeflow.com/u_dollar_f/u_dollar_f.htm http://www.3run.co.uk/ John

Looking for some "FREE" video software which is capable of more than just one stream of audio/video etc and has various effects/trasitions... Can anyone help me? John
-
Does anyone know where I would be able to upload the .html files from the website I have made? My sites all up and ready to go, all I need is somewhere to host it for me? John

I used to get exactly the same problems with my Echo rim and Maxxis tyres. Reason being is that the Echo rims have a low-profile braking surface, which is smaller than your Onza wheel and also Maxxis Creepy Crawler tyres tend to have weak sidewalls and beading. The way I sorted it out was by buying a Monty Eagle Claw tyre which fitted nice and snug, and has been designed with passion! John

Right, well the best thing to do for you mate, is to have a look at this link: http://www.condorferries.co.uk/routes_uk.aspx Here you'll be able to find out what boat you need to take, how long it takes to get here and most importantly prices. You can book your ticket(s) via the website. If you want to find out more about the island, or get some pictures of what it's like over here, my msn address is below. I've also attached a map of where we are. John

Right... If you're looking for a decent frame for a decent price which is in no way streety I'd most likely go for either the 07 Zoo Pitbull or the Echo Control. As you asked in your question the geometry of a new school frame is simple 72degree head tube to give a comfortable head-angle, unlike streety frames which are usually less to make the bike shorter for manuals, bunny hops etc. A nice set of long chainstays on the frame eg 375mm, increases the control on the back wheel for gapping etc and finally the BB rise, well I'm not sure what this does really but as on the Control it's +20mm. I ride a Mod and I don't really know too much about the specification on Stock's but what I've put above I do know a bit about so hope this helps mate! John

What's Your Worse Trials-related Bike Accident?
call_the_police replied to cmfx_2's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
Crazily, my worst ever injury whilst riding trials was two years ago. I done a 6ft drop gap to a bench, my savage vee brake slipped and I came crashing down on my back on the edge of the bench paralysing myself completely for 20 minutes. Scariest experience in my life!! John -
Ha yeah, we'll have to get that Pompy ride sorted out sometime soon actually, now that I'm getting my GU... I'll give you a shout once she's up and running!
-
Joel... UCI Lovin it as in "You See I Loving It". please excuse him, he's a bit slow!
-
Yeah and this Joel charachter seems a bit of a gay! F**k you Joel! You call yourself a mate and you go posting s**t in my topic like this. Oh yeah and JsyMole (Tom Mollet), watch out, Joel might try and sell you some of his bike parts to buy drugs (JOKE!!) lol It's alright Joel, I haven't forgotten!

From what i've heard and read, the bottom bracket yolk and the drop outs and gussets have stronger CNC'ing!

Hmmm... people I look up to most... I'd have to say that in a way I look up to for inspiration, Damon Watson for his unique style and crazyness, Ben Travis for his awesome street riding and Craig Lee Scott for his insaneness!! Also I kinda look up to Alaistair Clarkson, Benito Ros and many others for their devotion into the sport of Bike Trials!! John

I had an Echo on my bike for like a year and didn't creak once... You'll probably find it's your cranks which are making the noise and not your BB, just tighten it up loads or if in doubt, get a new set of cranks! John

Dj Ride May 13th. Sunday...
call_the_police replied to stuntsbyjon's topic in Member Organised Rides
If I can get the cash by tomorrow, you can count me in aswell, I'd definately be up for it!! John -
Just a quick one. Have been trying to organise a ride over here for some time now but have only just managed to get back into the forum. I was wondering if any of you UK riders would be up for coming over to ride Jersey in the summer as we have a great deal of natural and street for all you riders who like a bit of both! If you want any more details on what the islands like for riding, leave your questions below or simply email me! Cheers John
