I think I did about 2 primer, 3/4 coats of pain, 2/3 lacquer. But like I say, I wasn't doing it very carefully. If I were to do it again, I'd definitely spend more time prepping. I didn't sand down my filler enough so its lumpy as fook (thankfully all on the inside as that's where the corrosion was).

No worries I can actually provide some insight into this. That would depend how many coats you want to do. I just did 5 wheels (16"), granted I rushed them but I think I used 1 big can of primer, 4 cans of paint and 2 big cans of laquer. Not sure on ml though.

Looking for a bit of advice from you car folks. I am looking to change my car. Quite fancy an S3 or a 330 coupe (e46). My car is probably worth between 1500-1800. (Ibiza tdi, remapped - 170bhp, 125k, 2004, and some other little mods). P.S I'm trying not to put too much money in as trying to buy a house, hence me not buying something newer (yet). What's the most owners any of your cars has ever had? Just wondered really as I just remembered one of my brothers previous cars had 12 and it was less than 10 years old at the time.... it was unreliable though. Who can win the most compared to the age of it?

What method did you use to lube it? Just wd40 or something into them? Could do with sorting mine, but I have been putting it off for...well... about 2 years.

On the subject of Cupra r's, I have been looking into swapping my car for something else. Have looked into cupra r's and seen a lot over 100k. Should I be concerned if one is on 140k for instance? How long do they last if looked after etc. Seems quite strange the idea of swapping my car with 125k on it for one with more miles to be honest! Just some general pointers on them would be nice. Thanks in advance.
