No I wasn't aware Never treied overclocking so I wouldn't know what I was doing. Guessing you also think I should go for c2d then. I think thats only when you don't take them on as full A levels. I.e if i took it music media and graphics as, then dropped media, i would only get the A level points for music graphics and i.t, but i'd get the media points from as. I THINK!

Finally going to have some funds to get dual core. To buy: Option 1 - pentium d processor -935,940,945 (any of them 3) 1 gig of ddr ram (already got 1 gig) Option 2 - Core 2 duo e6750 2 gigs of ddr2 ram new motherboard I realise the 2nd is going to be more expensive, but is it worth it? Is there a shit load of difference with the core 2 duo's and the pentium d's. Basically is it worth me changing more hardware just so i can have a core2 duo. Also, where can i buy OEM processors? No i meant conflicting hardware. I realise there not related thanks Its baffling me to be honest, I know the computer is struggling as I have checked like the cpu usage etc.

Well it only started yesterday, so i'm thinking something i installed yesterday has triggered it. 'Cos i got wireless N adapter yesterday and a usb hub pci card so my guess is its one of them! I use a Realtek one, its on board sound so i jsut installed the driver that came with it. (very)Brief spec is: Pentium 4 3ghz 1.5gig off ram

Right, when listening to music, from the internet or media player, every so often it slows down momentarily, almost as though my computer can't cope. But even when i'm not doing anything else it still does it. So its definitely not that. I have tried reinstalling the drivers but hasnt helped. And ideas guys? Cheers in advance Wray
