Thats because you need to disable some of the motherboards power saving feature things in the bios. Think its called speedstep on mine. Can't check though as i'm not at uni with my pc!

I've got a P5Q pro and its amazing. Overclocked to 3.5 (q6600 also) easy as pie. I didn't even try going further as there is no need! I recommend

Well I took delivery of this today: Here And its dam sexy! And very cheap on that site! I love it, soooo much nicer than my old 15".... 1024x768 compared to 1280x1200!! Very crisp and nice, pics of my set up soon (maybe)

I agree, it is a very nice monitor! But I cannot afford that much i'm afraid! So out of the two, which would you choose? I do believe they have different contrast ratios, this could be the deciding factor, but I really don't know which would suit me best, or if either are more superior. Grr!
