Thats really not silly, I haven't seen a single D0 stepping I7 that hasn't reached over 4ghz.

That is a touch high but I wouldn't worry about it. I used to have a q6600 and mine was around that when under full load. Had it for a few years like that too

Got my Q9550 to 4.2ghz However had to set it back to 3.9 as my ram didn't like it. (I used different ram for 4.2ghz )

For the same price as the TRUE with a decent fan you might as well I would have got one if it was out when I bought mine

If you can afford it, get a Lian Li case, oozes quality and are very good cases! For your heatsink get the H50. Really is the best around for that price.

I have heard a lot more bad things about OCZ power supplies to be honest. The coolermaster ones are usually fairly highly regarded from what I gather. Though as you pointed out Be Quiet and Corsair are definitely the leaders. Less is definitely more with thermal paste! The CM-690 also has a full black edition now which looks the dogs bollox! But I much prefer the look of Lian Li's now, especially the one you have been suggested on Overclockers forum mate.

You might as well get the i7 920 also. Make sure its d0 stepping too

200 extra, crikey! I don't think I'll be making the change to DDR3/I7 until they lower the timings on the ram. They still seem rather high! I know its still better than DDR2 as it is though Yeah overclocking should be done manually really then you can tweak it to whatever the system needs. I have only starting overclocking this last year or so as before that I didn't have a clue how to do it! Sounds like a nice system though mr muel AMD aren't shit like they used to be Nice. D0 or C0 stepping? You really should overclock it, the i7's are reknown for being good. 4ghz should be easily reachable if its D0.
