Good choice
Being a 52 plate I'm guessing it has a 6 dials though? Get yourself on SCN and IOC, you'll be able to find the fix for it when it goes weird.
Now get it remapped - best money I've ever spent on a car
I know you said you can't find one, but I do recommend Ibiza pd130's. My drive to work is now 23 miles each way, always get over 60mpg just driving normally. Often get over 70 if I try too.
And once remapped it goes pretty well
Hmm started riding in 2000 ish, probably got to my peak at the age of 16/17 (so about 5 years of riding). Pretty much stopped riding then until I was 21/22. Now I'm riding again but nowhere near the level I was at 16/17 (I'm 24 now). Ah well still enjoy it

Seems to be a lot more interest in this than I expected - had a lot of emails asking me to end it early for x amount etc.
Unfortunately I couldn't attend, decided to break my bike instead! None of the bike shops nearby sold chain tensioners (weird) so my friend made a new piece for it:
= Fixed
So yeah, hope it was a good ride. I'll be there next time hopefully!
Oh by city square? With that dude on the horse statue? (never been to a leeds group ride hence not knowing where the granite walls are before anyone asks!)
Funny you should mention this, I'm selling one just like you described.... :wink2:
EDIT: probably should say I hope it turns up, bloody thieving buggers
Your VRS has same engine as mine, and I had mine mapped. It's definitely easiest and most satisfying mod to do. Awesome GTI in manchester have(or had) a nice offer on the pd130 engines for a generic stage 1 map for £150. I've done nearly 30k since having it done and no problems yet Takes it from 130 to roughly 170 bhp and around 300lb-ft of torque.
