  1. Would i look silly if i got a tee printed with my logo on it? lol
  2. I've decided to go for a new 'logo' aswell. I wanted something a bit more fluent and informal than my usual straight edge bold Helvetica. This is what i've gone for Larger version Edit: Forgot to add this but earlier my class had a visit from a local group called SaferMK who we have been doing a live job for. The main guy came in to tell us that our work will be displayed in our local shopping centre for public to decide which campaign they feel is strongest. We will apparently all also be recieve a letter from Thames Valley Police thanking us on the hard work we've produced which is awsome in my opinion! Heres just a few from my campaign. He did say there were some amendments for us all so this wont be the final thing.
  3. Thanks man, really appreciate it! The printing is pretty shoddy as i did it myself on my A3 printer. The colours are a bit faded which is annoying. Get some pictures of yours, would love to see it On the very front i just had my name, what i do (graphic design, photography), Mob number, email and url. Then next to my picture just a little introduction about myself thats expanded on in the rest of the cv. Hope that helps
  4. why is writing a covering letter so hard
  5. Do i keep the rustle paper looks running through onto my covering letter aswell like i have done on my cv? Just to keep it all looking as one...
  6. Aha No it wont be, just the process really of them being able to send it back etc
  7. Mind if i nab that RSVP idea for my covering letter Bronz?
  8. Thank you very much Ah i guess its an alright reason for not getting to use them though! But at least you've got something sorted just in case
  9. Ah that sounds perfect man! How come you didn't get to send them out?
  10. I love the RSVP slip idea on that! The overal thing looks slick, clean and simple. I like I was thinking i've put something like that in mine along with a slip saying 'If you would like to keep my CV i would be more then happy for you to do so, but if not could you please return it in the stamped envelope provided.' and a stamped envelope.
  11. Not sure where i last posted this in chit-chat but cant seem to find it. Anyway, have you guys ever produced a 'designer' cv? I had a go as i really wanted to make mine stand out from the rest of the pile and make the employee want to read it. At the moment the cv is aimed at graphic studios rather then your shop jobs. You can see it here: My designer CV Should hopefully be getting this sent out to a few studios in my local area so will soon see how it works out and works in my favour.
  12. Lol after performing that search, im guessing she's a pornstar?

  18. Sadly I havn't had the chance to send any out yet. Im not quite sure how im gonna fit studio hours around course hours. But will be sending off soon to see the response.
  19. Cheers bro. I went for a different approach to mine to make it stand out from the pile. As it was kind of a more fun, laid out kind of cv I felt it would be good to used an image. Some may think it was a bad idea, but I personally felt it fitted nicely in there
  20. I've been a bit weird and put my picture on mine just to add to the kind of fun feel of my CV. You can see it here if your interested My CV
  21. I changed my idea for the helvetica haters Used a nice clan slab serif font called Presse
